Patriots: Mark Ponder and others...

Mark was given 63 months of prison for his actions in the January 6th insurrection on the Capitol. He's tied with Robert Scott Palmer who pleaded guilty to taking part in the siege.

What did they both have in common? Believing the election was stolen.

Smile Mark, you're on candid camera.

I've seen some videos of people who actually believe the event never took place!

It ain't sushi anymore...

One of the best Sushi restaurants in Boca Raton closed their doors at the beginning of COVID. They had 3 locations (West Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton) and only the Fort Lauderdale store is still open for business.

Many of my coworkers used to go there for lunch on Friday and always the food was fresh. It's was a buffet style all-you-can-eat lunch or dinner with a grill. The selections for dinner were more, like steamed crab legs and baked salmon, but the price was justifiably higher.

I knew some of the waitresses had scattered to different businesses, many were unrelated to food service. There is another sushi restaurant in East Boca Raton that I go to now that gets so busy you have to leave your name with the greeter and they would call you when a table was available. Always a wait, often 20 to 30 minutes. Much higher prices nowadays but an awesome selection. One waitress from the other place relocated there and it's nice when she's my server.

Plans are to go there tomorrow in the afternoon after the lunch crowd dissipates and before they close to setup for dinner. I'll skip lunch and dinner tomorrow knowing the one meal could be 10,000 calories!
Okay, I'm exaggerating, it's more like 5,000 calories.

Last night, I passed the old sushi place and the building had been repainted, new lighting and the parking lot was re-striped. The sign on the front read: CURALEAF
I Googled the name to find they are a Marijuana Dispensary.

It ain't sushi anymore...

I am beginning to become a pretty decent cook!

I remember many, many, MANY years ago, the only thing I could cook was frozen pizzas, ready-made lasagna and pasta. I then moved overseas, and then I was forced to learn how to make food, because if I didn't do that, I would starve. Either that or eat out.

Fast forward to now. I run my own food blog, which I started back in April, so it only has 14 followers, but still - it's my own food blog!

On that, I post a variety of recipes and pictures of the food I make.

My first really big thing I made was this

It's a triple cheeseburger, with six rashers of bacon, two on top of each layer of cheese. It was VERY wet and drippy. The juice from the meat combined with the fat from the bacon and the cheese made me feel VERY American (yeeyee). It was glorious!

I then began to make more quick things - like toasties. Instead of ham, I used pepperoni, which made it taste like a pepperoni pizza, in a way.

Today, I made this

The patties are a blend of pork and bacon, with some bbq seasoning mixed in. It was great! I need more of those, so I am buying more tomorrow. The best part is that the patties were 15 Danish kroner for the pair. 15 Danish kroner is $2.26. A bargain!

If and when I find someone, I will definitely try to learn to cook more elaborate meals. I would LOVE to be able to make a beef wellington!

Now I just need to find someone who wants to give me a chance..

Info about redemption/fugitive blogs 1-9

Just noticed that the above blogs have been deleted. Which means the thread of the story does not now exist. Have asked for explanation. If you are unhappy about blogs disappearing without reason, I suggest you contact CS and ask them for a reason and voice your unhappiness with the system like I've done. If it bothers you, but I think out of politeness we should know.
If this message disappears, then the whole blog section is pointless and a waste of time.

REDEMPTION TO FUGITIVE P10

Continued from P 9...
It was 5am and still quite dark when we reached the side of the railway track. Open fields led to a road some distance ahead, but before that was an old run down building situated in a wooded area and adjacent to a small lake.
" If that place is unoccupied, we could make use of it later," I suggested.
" Sounds reasonable," said Alicia.
We crossed the field and approached the house. I pushed open the door. It was empty, but in not too bad condition.
" Let's find a place to eat and get cleaned up first. I'm starving," said Alicia impatiently.
They found the road and after a short walk saw a large red and blue flashing neon sign. 'Jenny's all night diner.'
They entered the diner and found a table.
Look after my guitar while I find the rest room. Scrambled eggs with toast and coffee for me.
The waitress took the order. I tried not to look round and draw attention to my self, but focused on the menu. When Alicia returned, I left for the men's room. The meals had just arrived when I rejoined Alicia. The juke box was playing a Tim McGraw & Faith Hill song called, ' It's your love.'
We ate in silence for a while and then I spoke about how the day had developed.
" Do you realise that those killings would have happened regardless of me? I just happened to be there without the knowledge of the driver. He would still have filled up at the gas station and been shot. But I saw the offender and I am the only one that can identify him. If I hadn't escaped from the prison, no one else would have seen him. And, if I hadn't drove off in the van and boarded the freight train, we would never have met."
"Yes, that's true. But are you saying that you are glad we met?" She stopped eating and her eyes were fixed on me.
I looked away and paused, and thought maybe I shouldn't be so quick to reveal my feelings. I looked at her. " You probably think I'm stupid, but I feel comfortable with you, and what is there not to like about you. Sometimes people connect quickly and they don't express their feelings. They regret doing so and drift away. I don't want that to happen."
She put her hand on mine. "Thank you for being honest and expressing how you feel. I don't think you're stupid. We have met in really difficult circumstances and I know the problems ahead. I want to help you, not just because I believe you are innocent, but because I also like you. And yes I feel a connection too. Let's see what happens. We'll get to Memphis and then Nashville and try to sort ourselves out. We'll find a clothing store and get you fixed up with different clothes. Maybe a western hat too. I'll get the same. Let's leave the diner now. I'll pay the waitress. I know you're without money."
" You're an angel Alicia. I'll make it up to you soon. I'll get a job in Nashville and help you find a singing venue."
The waitress was paid and they left the diner for the derelict building discovered earlier.
As they left, the juke box played another Tim McGraw song called, ' Just to see you smile.

To be continued........

ROSA KLEBB

ROSA KLEBB was a villain created by Ian Fleming and appeared in his story, From Russia With Love. She was head of SMERSH ( Smiert Spionam - Death to spies ), an official murder organisation of the Russian KGB ( now FSB ), employing around 40, 000 men and women.
Klebb is described as 5' 4'', squat with dumpy arms and short neck, pear shaped hips, hair scraped back into a tight bun, glasses, thickly powdered large pored nose, wet trap of a mouth, big ears.
I would imagine she would live alone, unloved and kept at a distance. This would have caused her to be bitter and frustrated. She would then unleash her frustration on other people.
She may have infiltrated and appear on this site, and I'm sure I've seen a person that fits the above physical and mental description. So, be watchful, she may have altered her appearance slightly by opening up the head bun, but that doesn't fool me.
Her Russian trade mark is usually a bear symbol.
