I KNOW exactly what YOU want.

Oh sure, you can play all coy and innocent. wink
But, we BOTH know that it's just a truly silly game.
You're not fooling anyone. scold
Well, at least not me. tongue

Whether you admit it, or not, they reveal
your deepest innermost secret desires. banana

A slice of history ?

Personally, I wouldn't pay 25 cents for it,
but very soon YOU can bid on a slice
of the actual wedding cake for Prince William & Kate Middleton.

I probably should mention that it's a fruit cake.
I meant the cake, not necessarily the groom. laugh
I guess this is Kate's way of saying...."Let them eat cake". grin

All you royal wannabes wave can start your bidding
at $500 on December 5th. doh

From People Magazine;

Now is your chance to own a piece of edible history.

A slice of the fruitcake from Prince William and Princess Kate’s 2011 wedding is going up for auction.
The 3-year-old confection will be sold on Dec. 5-6 through Julien’s Auctions Beverly Hills,
during which a collection of the late Princess Diana’s dresses will also be on the bidding block.

The cake will be packaged in a decorative gold tin and will include a blank wedding invitation
written on Queen Elizabeth‘s stationery.

So, what is the expected price tag?
The opening bid is $500, but it could reportedly fetch
anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000.

Here's the link to the story;

Bon appetit ! cake

The Shape of Fennel

So here I am preparing my chlorophyll alkaline soup for the week, when I get to the fennel. It's time to wash, chop, & juice.

I wasn't thinking anything in particular as I snipped the tendrils off. However, just as I was about to cut into the actual bulb, the shape of it struck me as odd.

It reminds me of the little Hand of Fatima charms that I have. So I had to snap a quickie pic, before butchering it.

An old horse named Charley....

........

A sustained muscle spasm is called a muscle cramp. Leg muscles, especially the quadriceps (thigh), hamstrings (back of thigh), and gastrocnemius (calves), are most likely to cramp, but any skeletal muscle in the body can cramp. A "charley horse" is another name for a muscle cramp.

"In the 1890s, an old horse named Charley was used in the old Chicago White Sox ballpark to pull a roller across the infield. He was old and his muscles would get so stiff he could hardly walk. Players and spectators who caught a cramp thought of the old horse and started calling the condition a charley horse.

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) occurs when a blood clot forms in one of the deep veins of your body, usually in your legs, but sometimes in your arm. The signs and symptoms of a DVT include: Swelling, usually in one leg (or arm) Leg pain or tenderness often described as a cramp or Charley horse.
WHAT FOODS CAN CAUSE MUSCLE CRAMPS?
Refined carbs like white bread are devoid of nutrients.
Excessive red meat consumption is bad due to nitrates.
Fast food is full of trans fats.
Foods with refined sugar such as packaged muffins are full of artificial ingredients.
Salty foods can wreak havoc on the body.

Let's bake something tonight...

I'm in rotation to work every third Saturday but this weekend, I had a client meeting on a jobsite and our draftsman took a few personal days off so I did some my own drawings.
Getting back home during daylight hours is a plus!

More trucks in the roadway as they continued to do a repair on the water mains that haunted the community this week.

In September, I did a blog about my experiments in baking... it was a big cornbread pastry with guava and cream cheese in the middle. The ingredients were fine, it's the way I ran a heavy layer of filling that made the loaf fall apart.

Not to have another failure, I bought a cupcake tray and a package of paper liners. My energy level is up... I'm psyched into making some cornbread guava and cream cheese cupcakes, mini version this time and I'll stir up batter (and not political trouble) to improve the success of this baking experiment.

I don't want THIS to happen again:
