Fractal wood burning...

I came across a story about people who are doing wood crafting called fractal wood burning. The process involves soaking boards in a chemical solution and running high-voltage electric across the wet board. The end result is a unique burn into the wood that has a tree-like shape with branches extending outward from the electrodes. The design has an almost fractal appearance. Hence the name fractal wood burning.

That's the good part. The bad part is the process is dangerous, especially in the hands of a novice.

To achieve this technique you need a transformer. Where can you find such a transformer? They can be found in the guts of a microwave oven. The alternate name for that type of transformer can be referred to as "lichtenburg" generator.

I found this type of art in a story about a couple who were electrocuted by the high-voltage it created. Another linked story was a house fire cause by the misuse of the device. Thousands of volts passing through 2 electrodes like a failed Tesla experiment.

While it's pretty, people aren't aware of the dangers in rigging something so powerful in a home-made device.

Holding the electrodes like the photo above is EXTREMELY dangerous.

The YouTube video shows a guy in a workshop using a variac, voltage controlled transformer and for safety, the electrodes aren't within reach.

OFW...

It's no secret that a good percentage of the Asian women on CS are Philippine working in other countries. It could be cities like Hong Kong, Singapore or Dubai where they are contracted to be domestic help and in many cases, English teachers for young children.
The ones who have a medical background usually hire out as nurses or health care workers.

One profile stated she is an OFW. That acronym was new to me and it means Overseas Filipino Worker and describes people who leave their country in search of opportunity that is not available in Philippines.

My father was in the Navy during WWII and traveled the Pacific. While docked in the Philippines, one of his buddies met a hospital worker and they started a relationship. After the war, she came to America where they married and lived happily ever after!

There is a large Philippine community in Miami and some women I've met were in the medical field having received their nurse training in the Philippines.

A lot of credit goes out to the women who accept the challenge of working in a foreign land to aid their families back home!

This was his birthday many moons ago. We were living in Macau then and would go across the border to Zhuhai to eat and shop every month. This was our favorite dim sum restaurant and we would eat to our heart’s content before we hit the shops! Our favorite dish- braised chicken feet in black bean sauce.

My son told me that he spoke to his older sister earlier on. Due to the time difference ( she’s 13 hours ahead ) and her crazy flying schedule ( she’s a cabin crew ) now that the borders have reopened, her brother and I always need to coordinate with her if we wanna have a chat with her.

Both brother and sister are only 18 months apart and have always been close. Of course they had them occasional fights when they were very young but they grew very close as they got older.

We were very saddened when my daughter decided not to join us in relocating to the US because she was in a serious relationship. However, we are now anticipating the day when she gets her green card. I petitioned for her green card mid last year but it would take at least 7 years to be approved sigh

I know my son misses his sister ( and vice versa ) very much. After all, she was like a little mom to him when they were growing up. heart beating

Little tyrant the moment he started to learn to walk!

He was very attached to our lived-in nanny that time. She would ‘gendong’ ( carry him on her hip )
him all the time until I had to request her to let him walk on his own doh Here’s a pic of an ice-cream seller that would peddle his ware all over on his tricycle. I bought ice-cream from him when I was a wee girl and so did my uncles and aunt when they were small! He must had been in his 70’s ( or even 80’s! ) when this pic was taken.

My grandparents doted on my kids a lot and they would take them to the coffee shop every morning and to the park every evening.

It was customary in my ex-in-laws’ ( their forefathers were from India ) household to have their head shaven when there’s an Indian/Hindu festival. My son have had his head shaven ever since he was a 1-month old infant and I’ve lost count on the times we ‘botak’ ( bald ) him.

Partners in crime. I left them on their own in their bedroom to go to the bathroom. It was less than 3 minutes and I walked into this …..doh They really couldn’t be trusted with talcum powder and once they got hold of one, they won’t let go of it!

Kobe...

I originally blogged about Kobe Bryant's helicopter crash in January 2020, where all nine aboard had perished.

Kobe's multi-million dollar Sikorsky didn't have any obstacle avoidance equipment, something found on hobby drones costing $500. I'm sure the avoidance system on a corporate helicopter would be thousands and very sophisticated. Maybe the FAA should rethink the minimum safety equipment required for commercial aircraft leasing companies.

It wasn't long after the crash, I began to hear about leaked photos of the dead bodies taken by the first responders. I figured it would all fade away. It didn't.

News today from Associated Press:
"Kobe Bryant’s widow was awarded $16 million as part of a $31 million jury verdict Wednesday against Low Angeles County for deputies and firefighters sharing grisly photos of the NBA star, his 13-year-old daughter and other victims killed in a 2020 helicopter crash."

News link:

Reader reviews were mixed.
Some were slanted that basically Vanessa Bryant is so rich she didn't need the money.

This is a thai money amulet. Base on my energy reading. It is an infested object. The amulet's material aside from bronze includes human & animal corpse remains. Unclean spirits from the amulet is clinging in his auric shell. In the form of black energy balls. Making him susceptible to short memory loss from possession. He also mentioned about lighting 3 incense sticks & 2 white candles. Inviting the guardian spirit of the amulet to help him with his finances to be wealthy. Along with resin chinese tael. My skin suddenly feels itchy. This always happens to me when there is a presence of unclean spirits.

This is really bad. Number 3 is an odd number. Odd numbers in buddhism represents a deity. The color white is for funeral. There are human & animal corpse remains in the amulet. I have strong gut feel. Death will make him rich. He will only get condolence money. The earth bound spirits can not recognize Philippines currency only Thai baht. I asked him. If he still have his sterling silver blessed St. Benedict's medal. Yes he still have it.
Embedded image from another site
I told him to wear the blessed medal & for protection & bad spirit removal. Throw away the thai money amulet & resin chinese tael in a river ( running water). ASAP. Attend mass , holy eucharist & ask the priest to bless him with holy water. Last rinse bath of salt water for auric cleansing always. To be prosperous and no money problems. I gave him simple instructions.
1. Always wash hands & pray( Netilat). Before eating. Our hands are holy.
2. Always pray LORD'S PRAYER.
3.St. Benedict's Medal is all he need to be wealthy in spirit & material means. Always pray & wear the blessed medal.
