‘Tastes Just Like Real Meat’ – Beetleburgers to Hit Mass Production to Help Feed the World.

Eat bugs and live in a pod.

The globalists and freaks in the left-wing media are trying to convince people to eat bugs.

Eating bugs is degrading and that’s why the elitists are pushing them as a “sustainable” source of protein for the peasants.

According to a new study, ‘beetleburgers’ made from mealworms will hit mass production to help feed the world.

“Mixed with sugar, the beetles supposedly taste just like real meat. They could also become alternatives to sausages or chicken nuggets.” – researchers say.

Beetleburgers could soon be helping to feed the world, according to new research. The creepy crawlers’ larvae — better known as mealworms — could act as a meat alternative to alleviate hunger worldwide. The process uses a fraction of the land and water and emits a smaller carbon footprint in comparison of traditional farming.

To make this a reality, French biotech company Ynsect is planning a global network of insect farms, including nurseries and slaughterhouses. A pilot plant has already been been set up at Dole in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region of France.

“We are in full control of the chain of production. That gives us strength in terms of quality, security and safety,” says Benjamin Armenjon, general manager of Ynsect, according to a statement from SWNS.

Robot arms and automated conveyor belts transport stacks of red trays in every direction. They are are filled with billions of Tenebrio molitor beetle larvae. The dried critters are more than 50 percent protein and rich in fiber and fats as well.

They can be turned into protein powders, shakes, burgers, cereal bars, and even cooking oils at a fraction of the environmental cost of traditional farming. For every one kilogram of protein, Ynsect uses 98 percent less land and emits 40 times less carbon than beef. It also uses 40 times less water than pork production.

The globalists are pushing for the peasants to eat bugs, weeds and synthetic ‘meat’ because bugs “consume fewer resources than traditional livestock.”

Last year the World Economic Forum promoted the EU’s new plan to use mealworms in food in their bid to reduce meat consumption.

“Livestock around the world is responsible for around 14.5% of all greenhouse gas emissions relating to human activity. The need for land – whether for grazing animals or growing crops to feed animals – is “the single greatest driver of deforestation, with major consequences for biodiversity loss,” the paper says.

The Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival aka Mooncake Festival...

China is 13 hours ahead of the East coast USA and their festival started on the 10th. My plans Saturday were to go to Miami and shop at the huge Chinese market to get some Mooncakes, but a Celebration of Life for an old friend lasted longer than expected.
Instead, I went to a Chinese supermarket near my house, but I was surprised they didn't have any Mooncakes.

Some Mooncake history and legend:

Pomegranate...

My dad used to work in a grocery store when I was a kid and sometimes bring home Pomegranates. I have no idea how much they cost then, but now they are nearly $3 each now, unless you shop at Walmart where you can get them for less than $1 each. They probably had to reduce the price as no one was buying them.

So... I bought some and now I remember why I haven't had any for so many years. It's all about the amount of work to get those freaking little seeds out!

I did check out a video on the best way to do it as there are many different methods.
What I did find strange is they eat the seeds, where I sorta chew on them then suck the juice then spit out the seeds. Yeah, the flavor is tart.

Mondel Loaf...

The Jewish holidays mark the season for Mondel Loaf. Basically, it's a soft version of the Italian Biscotti. I was at the bakery of the farmer's market last week and found some Fruit Mondel Loaf. Okay, so half of it is gone and I said I was avoiding sugar this month.

Some recipes call it Mondel Bread and they taste and resemble hand made bread. The variety found around the Jewish communities in South Florida is more of the semi-sweet style.

Sushi Buffet...

I had lunch at a famous Japanese Sushi Buffet today. It doesn't matter that they have small plates as it's an 'all you can eat' restaurant. So I had 3 full plates and a few trips to the desert display.

Yeah, too good to the point where I ate so much my breathing was impaired. When I got home I went into a state of hibernation.

My vital signs are coming back online and I'll probably go walking later.

Mmmm... sushi

Ciabatta...

For a few years now my preference in baked bread and rolls has been Ciabatta. More expensive than standard bread products, I didn't have an answer of the difference... until I Googled it.
Okay, what is Ciabatta?

It's a style of bread first created in 1982 in Italy using wheat flower, water, salt, yeast and olive oil. A baker in Veneto, Italy created this recipe as a response to the French baguette that had gained popularity in the area and affecting local business.

The bread can be described as having a crisp crust with a soft porous texture and the dough has a much higher water content, cooked with a higher heat setting.

My preference are the Ciabatta rolls from Aldi, approximately 3" x 3" as it's enough for a lunch or afternoon snack when it's filled with slices of chicken and tomato. Of course I'm using sugar-free mayonnaise.

Mooncakes are gross

I bought a mooncake two weeks ago , I visited a Chinese bakery and saw them wrapped up with a sign $9. The woman told me they only make them once a year so I bought one. I figured it must be really good since it was so small and expensive. My mind was changed after the first bite. Bitter and gross. I threw it in the street and then ran over it with my car just to feel better about the situation.

More Olive Oil...

I wrote a blog in March about a concern for purchasing a 3-liter can of pure olive oil.
The concern was 'how many years would it take to consume 3-liters' and would it go rancid before I could use it up.

Gulp... it's gone. Four months later I had to buy another can.

Roughly converting from metric, my calculations say it's about one 8-ounce cup per week. That includes cooking/frying and salads.
