Steve, Steve, Steve...

It may be time for Steve Bannon to pay the piper.
Indicted by a federal grand jury Friday. He is charged with contempt of Congress for refusing to answer questions from the House Committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Two contempt counts:
One for refusing to appear for a deposition and another for declining to produce documents requested by the committee.

If convicted, Bannon could face up to a year behind bars and a fine of up to $100,000.

You go boy !!

LVP - Luxury vinyl planking aka sticky planks

Anyone tried this, used this, have any tips to offer on this? I have hideous tiles in my kitchen / living room and decided after some research* that LVP was a good interim measure (right now I can't afford the kind of tiles I'd like) and I've got half the kitchen done (the easy half) and am beginning to think I bit off more than I chew. My usual expert for the tricky bits is ill, I've an enthusiastic husband (not my own) offering to help with the finishing (if DIY guy is still sick next week) (there's a deadline of 20th March, no pressure eh?) but he said cheerfully he knows nothing at all about LVP but how hard can it be uh oh

So while I am taking a break and trying to stop my fingers sticking to the keyboard, I wondered if anyone has done it for real because it doesn't seem quite as straightforward as the videos with experienced DIY guys / girls made it look. They were gaily enthusiastic but there are breaks in the recordings which I am now eyeing with suspicion.

*I'd never heard of it before, I was looking at laminate click-together flooring and that led to vinyl click-together and then to the self-adhesive type. Shorter life but easier maintenance / repair / replace bits, and "So Easy To Lay". I am quoting.

Internationally recognised or not, he is the undisputed ICON of the Indian farmers.

He, uniting the in fragmented society, has created a history. The farmers world over, are enthusiastic of the development.

The Culinary Scholar

There is a very famous Proverb in Bengali Language ...

"Je Randhe , Se Chul O Bandhe.."

Which literally means , "Who can cook , can do hairdressing too.." ...
Meaning ,
If someone has specialised on a specific skill , does not mean that they could not venture into other different types of talents ... hmmm

Here we have one recent example to prove this point TRUE !! wow

The Nobel Laureate Economist Mr. Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee is cooking just like any ordinary family man !!! thumbs up

Love

Some find love and then lose it.

Some search their whole lives and never find it.

Some find it many times with different people.

Me. I've found it. And I'm loving it.

I'm quite satisfied.

Don't waste your passion being jealous ! scold

That won't help you.

You really can find it too.

Grab a piece and enjoy it to the fullest.

I think you're healthy and so you won't mind....part 1

Don't worry
Its a series
I start from the first country of the first world.
But that super power or, in my words the so called super power, miserably failed to deliver.
And wow what a paradox! , that super power doesn't know an iota of, what is happening around in the world.
Or by any chance, may be they're knowing it, they are ignoring it to turn this monument into a desert.
Thanks in advance....for whoever who peep in th.

Future of the generations to come...

Being a born optimistic I can't agree that its that gloomy. But then I know its not brighter either.
Usually at the dawn, people loose faith and inclined to the darker side. May be I am an exception laugh
Question is not of societal norms and beliefs, neither its about the atheism. And also it's not about the political or economical ideologies, be it socialism, communism, capitalism or cronyism. The basic thing is human nature. At the root humans in general, are selfish and greedy. The tendencies get inflated in an insecure environment.
It starts with socialism, then they try to control and in the process, things end in communism. End result is a totalitarian regime.
Likewise, it starts with capitalism generating a battalion of day dreamers and they make hay while the sun shines. The wealth wrests in a few hands. End result is the same.
Socially, atheism and belief system, swing like a pendulum.
I think Buddha has provided the solution "Madhya Marg (Mid Way)".

My kitchen renovation project...

My kitchen renovation project is going slower than I planned. The 3 stone top fabricators I would choose from were closed for the week between Christmas & New Years, so I'm awaiting prices and availability. Actually, I got a price from one and waiting on the other 2.
So no contract and no one to measure to start fabrication.
The old sink and top have been shifted to the new location and the plumber did a temporary reconnect. That will work until the new countertop arrives.

I planned to assemble the drawers over the weekend and drawer slide mechanisms for the cabinets were in separate boxes, but the screws are no where to be found. So I missed the opportunity to assemble and install them.
I got a response from the office where I bought the cabinets and they will gladly replace the missing screws, but I'm not going that way for a day or so. At this point, I'll pay one of my installers to finish the cabinets as I'm working on 2 new projects.

Cabinet parts and tools are stacked everywhere in the kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway and my plan is to re-stack them into one area so the place doesn't look like the aftermath of a tornado!
That said, I'm pretty comfortable predicting this phase of my kitchen renovation will be finished before the end of the month.

I broke down all the old cabinets and tossed them into the dumpster so there were no signs of construction going on. Yesterday, I see one of my neighbors is doing a renovation too, but they placed the old cabinets, drawers and parts near the dumpster for everyone to see.
I hear the garbage truck this morning banging around so that stuff should be gone today.

The Clinton Foundation...

The Clinton Crinton Foundation was mentioned in one of my recent blogs about former president Donald Trump with his media circus and to be honest, I was just a young 'whipper-snapper' when it all occurred so I have zero understanding about the Clinton Crinton Foundation, who they are and what they do...

Please enlighten me.
