I looked out of my kitchen window this morning and noticed an object on the patio. It was a dead bird. Probably a young starling that was experiencing its first taste of life in the outside world. It was of course dead, and no doubt due to its lack of knowledge about predators was easy prey. I then wondered what I should do with it. Half an hour later, perched on my garage roof was a magpie. It eyed the dead bird and then pounced. Taking it on to the roof. First dropping it then grasping it again and putting it further along near some trees. It commenced plucking the feathers before carrying it away and no doubt to its own nest to probably feed it's young.
My problem was solved by nature's method of utilising creatures to do the necessary work and this brought home to me the cycle of life.

To start happy New year to all.
My new year morning started exactly the same as every other morning, half asleep kettle on, feed the cats to shut them up and testing bloods, nothing different. With my first cup of tea I plonk my Arse on the sofa and before the cup can touch my lips all hell breaks loose. I feel a slight movement on my shoulder and hair and flicked my hair of my shoulder and heard a delicate thump and scratching omg a mouse somehow it had slipped onto my shoulder when I sat down. Now the fun and games began trying to catch it, round and round the sofas and chairs until it leapt into a slightly open drawer. Gotcha. No it then starts running between the drawers as everything is tossed out of them. I will not be beaten so the front door is flung open and the chest of drawers put out on the step, yes its cold what does the mouse do, it plays peeppo with me. I'm pleased so say after about an hour it decided to live ourside and not in the drawers.
I must not forget to watch the sunrise tomorrow, on my way to work...or maybe not.
The street is empty and lovely when I drive at 5am. Well, except from the car accidents and the drunk drivers...
I saw a dead seagul today...Oh at least he was free before he died.
It's funny how little things seem so important sometimes... And how we take for granted some important things...Like life itself...
There are cruelty...
There are kindness ...
And there are innocents suffering....
It's upto us that which side/sides we should choose to support.....
Holy cow!
A group of brave bovines are being applauded for helping police catch a motorist over a registration violation in rural Wisconsin.
The Barron County Sheriff’s Department said it assisted Barron police with a roughly 13-mile pursuit of a Chevy Cavalier about 1 a.m. Tuesday.
The car “ran out of steam encountering this moooving blockade,” the department wrote on Facebook, where it published an amusing image of the cattle call.
“We would be remiss if we didn’t thank the Barron County Bovine Unit for jumping into the fray when the vehicle came into their patrol area,” it added in the tongue-in-cheek post.
The sheriff’s department added that no humans or animals were hurt in the arrest “and the driver is in lockup for the night.”
Facebook users milked the incident for all it was worth.
“Udderly humiliating for that driver,” one wrote.
“Spike strips? Meh. Deploy the cows!” another said.
“See, cows are worth more than just a good steak,” a third use added.

If you live in the coastal area of Norway, you may have seen Freya, a 1,300 pound walrus.
Freya became an icon for both good and bad as this walrus had climbed on back of some boats to sunbathe and sank a few.
It was determined that sightseers were getting too close and it was feared an endangerment for people, so as a "last resort," spokesman for the Directorate of Fisheries Vegard Oen Hatten said they had to put the animal down.

We've been experiencing a heat wave for several days now.
It's too hot for us humans. Imagine how it feels with a thick layer of fur.
The following scene occurred in the state of Virginia 2 days ago.
"Hey kids, why don't you go cool off in the pool I bought you."
"There's no room mom." "Huh ?"
"Take a look"
CS has a new member... actress Courtney Tailor, who appeared in the 2016 movie Everybody Wants Some. Her real name is Courtney Taylor Clenney, born in Midland, Texas in 1996. She will turn 28 later this month. Not only is Courtney an actress, she's also a social media influencer. I'm impressed.
I'm not so much impressed that an actress would join CS, it's that 2 years ago, Courtney was arrested in Hawaii and charged with the murder for stabbing her boyfriend in South Florida.
Sniff, sniff... I can smell a rat.
