My Cat is Growing Up...

Four and a half months ago, The first time in my life I adopted a small cat ( about 4 month ?) with unexpected, when he first came he was dirty, thin and weak.I wanted to give him a bath, but he was too small to do that.sigh

Well,at that time, he kept safe distance from me, he slept outside at the balcony himself for the first 3 nights. and the next following days, as the weather getting cold, he liked to snuggle beside the freezer. So I put a small box there and he began to sleep inside it every night. At the daytime I checked his body, I didn't want shared his insects.I wanted him clean and healthy, grin so I using the garlic water to kill them if I found, it worked well. I cleaned his ears with eye ointment. He let me did it only I needed is a quick job.yay

Then one day I found out some hairs began falling down from his small tail and he refused me to touch it as well, I didn't know what happened and searched online, considered that he is too small to use medicine, I thought of vinegar this time. luckily he is very close to me, it's easy to rub vinegar onto his sick tail... I have two type of vinegars, strong one and soft one,to my surprised that he liked the smell of vinegar, wow the strong one stopped his sick spreading quickly. Then everyday I only using the soft one which is more safer to him, he liked to lick it,I helped him to took off the bad hairs and then waiting for the new hairs growing back in a long month .

Now I still dropped a few vinegar in water to wash his body hairs often, he seems used to it, his hairs are soft and gentle when touch them after drying, And no doubt, his status of health is well also. He likes chasing his tail in circling on my bed. now I would rather call him a vinegar cat ? rolling on the floor laughing

Here's few pics of him

In the Monkey Montain

Had a good laugh today in the Monkey Mountain..

For some of the Apes had straightened their backbone and start walking upright.

One tribe unfortunately got left behind.

Now these Apes are behaving like gentlemen

Who knows what could happen next???

Cat Milk Cheese

With a few cats around the garden and some soon to be donated I have started a Cat milk cheese business.

Its not easy to milk the cats but I have a special harness and gloves, the work is hard as it takes 4 pints of cat milk to make a pound of cheese.

The cheese is known as "Fromage de Gato" and is popular in France and other European countries.

I have tried to make butter but the fat content of cats milk is a bit low.

Im looking recipes to make different cheese's, mozzarella is the only one Ive had success with. Below is a photo of Morag enjoying her daily milking.

Domestic cats outdoors in urban places.

Most of us know of how valuable house cats can be in country/farm environments. Pesky rodents, go to the home down the road. But what about in out heavily populated towns and cities? Noisy fighting all night long, marking up lawn furniture and other things, killing our lovely songbirds, and lots more. And perhaps the indoor life is best for the kitties themselves, with ectoparasites, combat scars or worst, and even predator danger. We have eagles and ospreys, not to mention foxes and hawks, here by the ocean, and all have been known to take little Pumpkins for lunch from time to time. Should our laws on pet ownership reflect these facts? We do have leash and clean up regulations for dogs. A few yeas ago, while we were away for a month on family vacation, we had a lady friend care of the kitties here. Our cats live indoors, but this lady's enabling tendencies got the best of her, and she let them roam outdoors. Fleas, cuts and diseases awaited us on returning. Aa.
