From time to time, I peruse the various sections here on this great CS site. In looking at the good CS advice to avoid scammers, I noticed mention of CS's (old, and possibly inconsistent) exclusion of certain parts of God's world. The reasoning has logic behind it, as many of these places do have their share of scammers. But is any of this racist, or xenophobic? And some do get through, variously, in any case. Ah, what a great feeling to use these words a bit more appropriately than they are often tossed about.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Wednesday slammed as "unjust and cruel" a raid of illegal immigrants in California last week that netted hundreds of criminals, many with convictions for violent crimes -- but which was partially thwarted by a Democratic mayor who tipped off the public to the crackdown."

Really?

What about the victims of these criminals?

Is this type of stereotyping justified and why do we think this?
Seems that we form this belief because women are more likely to show or express their emotions than men.
Dates are a huge sentimental issue for most/some women too, eg. anniversaries, important dates,birthdays and even little pieces of scrap paper with scribbles made by her kiddies a few decades ago.
Not sure if most men really use something called 'emotional expression suppression' or is it just more convenient to put it aside?
Why are some/most men the complete opposite in this phenomenon, not remembering, not being sad on certain 'important dates etc. Just plain forgetfulness?
Guys like me are constantly in deep water due to a lack of so called sentiment...

Personally speaking, I have my own set of values which might differ to most.

The first place we lose the battle is in our own thinking.

If we think it's permanent then it's permanent.
If we think we've reached our limits then we have.
If we think we will never get well then we won’t.

We have to change our thinking patterns.

We need to see everything that's holding us back, every obstacle, every limitation as only temporary.

Unknown to a majority of Americans was the withholding of 20+ pages of the report by the 9/11 commission that detailed the involvement of a number of prominent and wealthy Saudi families and government officials in the financial aid of the terrorists and their movement. Perhaps the government was right in this action, hoping to avoid a tremendous backlash from the obvious outrage that Americans would have felt toward a reportedly long time alley in the region. Now, at last, that outrage is surfacing and the Congress should be extremely careful for fear of a revolt. The Saudi’s appear to have clearly identified themselves as state sponsors of terrorism.

Saudi Arabia has chosen to attempt to hold America and it’s government hostage; threatening to sell off billions of dollars worth of assets if the government chooses to release those papers and give American citizens (victims & their families of 9/11) the right to bring legal action against those Saudi citizens that were involved. Notable is the comment that Saudi had already dealt with the offenders despite there was no indication through stiff financial punishment, long term imprisonment or executions as is so often the practice of the Saudi government. I simple threat to the US, suggesting that we now must take orders from a foreign government and supported the murder of 3,000+ American citizens.

The Saudis get such royal, preferential treatment because they’ve stomped their feet, threatened to pull all their money out of the U.S. economy and bankrupt the world if not given their way. As ridiculous as that threat sounds, the Obama administration is apparently very scared by it. Worse yet is the fact that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been dismissed from the 9/11 families lawsuit via their Foreign Sovereign Immunities.

As much as I saw value in the first decisions by this president 7 years ago, he has been and continues to be on a downhill slide. The Russians violate NATO alliances & harass our Navy without response; China is encouraged and is now doing similar injustices throughout the Asia, North Korea is completely out of control with extreme provocations and still, the president sits on his hands, more worried about his image in history. Has anyone within his administration bothered to explain it in 9th grade English so he can fully understand? Perhaps he needs to be taught what the term “high treason” means and how it can be applied.

The next administration had better be willing to put it’s foot down and reestablish the status of the USA as well as our willingness to back it up in real time. The Soviets broke the nuclear agreements years ago, yet we have not started rebuilding our nuclear stock piles. We have not completely blockaded North Korea and we are still buying goods from both Russia & China. While I certainly don’t want to see the US become an isolationist, I do think we need to stop trading with our enemies until such time as the tow the line and behave themselves. One cannot be or expect to be treated as a world power when we present such a 3rd world approach to problems.

Sadly, none of our presidential candidates appear to be capable of dealing with these problems. We can only hope at their respective conventions, somebody comes out of the woodwork who it capable and will to lead. These are very serious times requiring a strong leader that can think for themselves, persuade others, and speak softly with a very large and prickly stick!

CS is a great place, to meet people of different importance and background, chat and get other people viewpoints.

I am glad to have met both nice people and stereotype people here in CS.In general CS is just like a bar where people meet, the only difference is that "British Alcoholic Companies" are not a partner wih CS to supply drinks.

I like everybody, even those who hate me. I will be living CS,because i have been given a warning by my girl friend, who have asked me to be in local forums here in France and communicate only in French in order that she will be able to monitor and understand what i chat with others online.

Officially, i will quit on the 15th of May, because i managed to ask her to give me sometime to close up my account and say goodbye to CS friends and foes.

FyI i am not political.

I can understand where people want to express dissatisfaction with regarding a political office holder while in office. However I find it is nothing but hate to read all the remarks about past political office holders.

These kind of repeat offenders are so full of hate that they CONTINUE to cause social and racial unrest in the USA. What about other countries outside the USA. . Do people there still to continue to hate politicians and the bad and good things they did while in office or they intelligent enough to move on and do something poaitive with their brain power and other energies?

Note: I'm not arguing with the fact that the climate is changing, nor would I argue that it is 4 billion years old. Science do claim, it will also going to perish or die. When? There's no time frame (yet).
