In response to: End Impeachment's Government Shutdown
The Hill

BY MARK PENN, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR
We are facing an impeachment shutdown - the road-blocking of all our government's institutions for an impeachment that is going nowhere. It will inflame passions, divide our country further and accomplish nothing of any significance.
The cast is now complete with shady characters, wronged bureaucrats and impeachment prosecutors preening for their close-ups on national TV.
As in 1998 and 1999, there is going to be a reckoning when this is all over. I helped to defend President Clinton when the country wasted time then on another impeachment that went nowhere. The president certainly was not innocent of all of the accusations, and he lost his law license and paid significant fines for his actions, but impeachment was rejected and his hold on the presidency affirmed. His ratings soared.
Like them or not, presidents uniquely represent the elected will of the people. As such, their removal is not just about the removal of a person but the overturning of that elected will. For that reason, there are few offenses that will be so grievous as to cause the party in power to give up their party's leader and convict a president; most charges, even if true, won't reach that high bar for removal. Clearly, the accusations in 1998 and 1999 did not meet that threshold, and neither do the charges today.

I try to look after my money, hence I check what I buy and I also check the price I have to pay ...
I encountered the following scenario at one of the shops in my town...
I saw coffee mugs and it was on sale...was R 69.00 and Now R29.00 ... I liked the mugs and bought it for R29.00 per mug.
When I got home I removed the packaging I saw there was a price at the back of the price tag I saw/and paid in the shop ... I remove that and I saw a first price which is Was R39.00 and Now R21.00.
I went back to the shop and asked them to see the original retail price of this mug. My concern was that the up mark an item only to sell this at a perceived lower price. They could give me the retail price as R69.00 but this retail price dates 11 months back. In the meantime this item is on the list of discontinued items and was on different 'sales' at different sales prices the past 11 months...is this 'fair' and should I be happy?
My concern remains that a perception is created on an item that the saving is high only to find it is old stock which sold even at a lower price I paid for it...
Well my friends I must say after being on this site for almost a month, I am a bit over whelmed. I've spoken with a few people on here but the 2 that I liked the most have either removed their profile on their own or had been deleted by the site themselves.
This is exactly why I don't do this, how can I learn to trust again when all I ever receive is deceit. I admit I am nowhere's near perfect but what is the point of lying to one you barely know. Nothing can be built on lies as the other will eventually find out and you'll be down in the dumps again and right back where you started. It's wrong, unjust and not fair to those that really are trying to begin again. It takes a lot to do that for some..... just saying
Ladies and Gentlemen, The face of the Democrat Party, Maxine Waters.

The belief that lightning never strikes at the same place, is a myth. There is nothing random about where lightning will strike next. It can and it will strike at the same place for as long as the topography invites it to strike there.
The
law of averages is a nonprofessional term for an erroneous belief that (inter alia) the results of random events in the past can influence the probability of random events yet to come.
According to the ‘
law of averages’, something is more likely to happen because it has not happened recently or alternatively, that because something has recently happened, it will not happen again in the immediate future. This is wishful thinking or a poor understanding of statistics and not based on any mathematical or statistical probability. Life is not that simple and smooth. There is
no law of averages.
As an example, consider a die that has landed on six in ten consecutive rolls. Somebody may assume, in accordance with the ‘
law of averages', that on its next roll it will not (or at least is much more unlikely to) produce another six. The truth is, the die has no memory, and the probability of another six does not change in sympathy with past results. Even if the die has landed on six in ten or a hundred consecutive rolls, the probability that the next roll will produce another six is still no more and no less than one in six (18.67%), the same as with any the other five numbers on the die.
Likewise, there is no statistical basis for the belief that lottery numbers, which haven’t appeared recently, are due to appear soon. Playing the same combination of numbers draw after draw, fares no better. There simply is no minimum or maximum number of draws to guarantee a certain outcome. A thousand years may not be enough to draw the right number. It is just pure luck
Lotto is (and will remain) a special tax levied on stupid people.
I wish you a great week ahead.
Seen lots of programmes since that dreadful day and still haunts me watching those poor people jump to their deaths rather than burn to death,.....
Love means many thing in our lives how is it in yours would you like to share? To me its my family, nature and where I can find it out there.

I can just see whats happening in this world without been led by the nose like a sheep to the slaughter.
I need no endorsement of whats right or wrong. At my age I should instinctively know whats right or wrong.
This I deem wrong. These people have no idea of the evil that was propagated by Hitlers Nazis.
Groups of “Nazis” who call themselves the “Blood Tribe” and “Goyim Defense League” exposed themselves as Biden supporters and Azov Battalion members while marching in a rally in Orlando, Florida.
Blood Tribe leader Christopher Pohlhaus, a former Marine who also goes by “Hammer”, accidentally let slip to reporters that he’s a Biden supporter while railing against “white subjugators.”
“I think Biden is better than Trump because he sends rockets to Ukraine!” Pohlhaus declared as a tattoo-faced member behind him yelled, “Slava Ukraini!” ‘Blood Tribe’ leader Christopher Pohlhaus, a former Marine who also goes by ‘Hammer’, spoke on an overpass alongside members of both ‘Blood Tribe’ and ‘Goyim Defense League’ today in Florida pic.twitter.com/B4do0BoiKS
A few hundred years ago, flying was said to be impossible and yet, a mere 70 years after the invention of true flight, we have been to the moon and back. We are bound by unproven theories and laws, compiled by ‘clever’ people, telling us that certain things are impossible. The fact is that if we don’t know how to do something (yet), it does not mean it impossible.
Theories and natural laws are mostly around because nobody could prove them wrong to date, not because somebody proved it correct. Not even Albert Einstein’s relativity theory is beyond doubt. In a few hundred years, we may laugh at his folly. Look how long we believed that the earth was the center of the universe and Sir Francis Drake had to sail around the world to prove that the earth was round.
So, follow your dreams and don’t be bound by conventions and theories. Conventional thinking gets you nowhere. Explore the unknown and think laterally. If not for that, we would still have been in the Stone Age, living in caves. If brave people did not stake their careers and reputations – even their lives – to challenge the impossible, we would have been nowhere today.
Something is only impossible until somebody figures out a way to do it. Everything that we do today was once thought to be impossible.
Have a great day and don't try to move mountains; it is impossible.
