What I’m Trying To Say

When I first came here about three years ago, I did not attract much attention for a few weeks and everybody was friendly towards me. As I started to attract some attention, some of the older hands started insulting me. At first I took it as a joke but when it went on I started retaliating.frustrated

I was accused of being the same entity as the late Simmo, and also to be the same persona of an inactive blogger of long standing here. Now Simmo is gone but I’m still here. The other person is also still here, but I think that fantasy has also died an early death.tongue

I was called narcissistic. I cannot even spell it, I had to look it up in the dictionary because I spelled it so wrong that my spellchecker did not even recognize it.doh

Narcissistic. Ah, I got it right this time. Anyway, I sat down and wondered if all those people could be wrong. Incidentally, that was the problem with all my enemies. They said I was narcissistic. Hey, I got it right again. Apparently, being narcissistic was my only flaw.mumbling

And I started working on my problem. I’m taking about being narcissistic now. I sat down and practiced to be humble and modest. It was hard work, but it paid off in the end.professor

I am no longer narcissistic. I am humble and modest now. So if that was my only flaw, I must be purrrfect now.laugh

What I’m trying to say is that we all have our flaws, for instance I like to mock with myself and others but never know when to stop. People don’t always realize that I’m teasing and we have problems. Right now, we are only polarizing the blogs and it is not needed. The way we’re proceeding now, we are not going to end before some of us are suspended. sigh

Let’s stop the crap now. If we don’t like somebody, let’s just ignore him or her. We are grown-ups and should behave like that. We don't have to read blogs that we don't like.wink

A Special Gift… Or Is It A Curse.

Ever since I was a child I had the unfailing ability to annoy and irritate the hell out of some people; and the worst of it is that I enjoy it. As with all other things that I enjoy, I practice it well and through the years I had honed it into a fine art.

When people use resources and dedicate blogs to me in revenge, so much sweeter it becomes for it only underlines how effective I am. As they say in show business: There is no such thing as bad publicity. The worse it is, the more people will get to know about it and thus the better the exposure.dancing

And being the vain bastard that I am… Ah shut up, Catfoot! That is enough of that for now.

Oh me, oh my! My dear friend Simmo, you cannot just shift your responsibilities down onto me. I do not merit such honour and do not have the expertness or the experience for such an honoured position. The only experience I have in any sort of a leader’s position was when I was class captain in grade 1 and I have a notion it was only to stop me from crying for my mother.

But while we are at the topic of humus excreti, we also have these surfboard riding fossils in my country, but luckily - due to a lack of decent waves - they are in the minority.

Anyway, as per usual, I’m talking too much again. So to all you fellow trolls and mobsters out there - look around, stay alert and remember to take your little pink pills. Those leprechauns are lurking everywhere; just waiting to strike.

Parable of the Blind and Deaf.

Once upon a time there were two men.

One was blind and the other was deaf and dumb.

( I am fully aware of my political incorrectness. I spare the terms visually impaired and speech and hearing impaired for real disable people with all due respect. )

Getting back to the story..

The deaf and the blind meet at a pub called CS on a daily basis for socializing.

Politics is their main topic of discussion, but their disabilities have limited them in many ways to understand the true nature of politics.

The blind man shouts from one side about the stuff he read only available with braille language made available to him by Fox.

The deaf and dumb can't hear what he says. He knows only things that had sign language translations by CNN. He vigorously argues with sign language from another corner. But the blind can't see.

Rest of the pub watch and watch and watch. ( SICK AND TIRED)

Some call for the bartender to throw them out.

Some ask them to shut up.

Most have avoided the pub altogether. (This is the sad part)

The moral of this story is.... who cares.

In honour of Biff and Harbal. I hope they will be free to blog again.

If I offended anyone I am sorry to say I am not sorry. grin

The F-Word Again

I have read some hilarious write-ups about the various uses of this poor abused word. When you walk in the street or watch a movie, you hear it in almost every second sentence, but it is seldom used for its real purpose.doh

When you disregard the actual meaning of the word, you can usually replace it with more acceptable words, like bloody, blooming, frigging, damn, hell, spoiled, broken, or something similar.thumbs up

But when does a word become bad? If I say I want a bloody steak, it may mean that literally or I may simply be using strong language. So, the word per se is not bad, but rather the way we use it. But then again, if I call somebody a stupid fool, it is merely an insult and I will still get away with strong language if I call him a bloody fool, but if I should dare to replace stupid or bloody with the overworked F-Word, it is deemed as vulgar, and yet, I said the same thing in each instance.dunno

We have an Afrikaans version of the word as well. It sounds very much the same but it does not have the same meaning of the (real) F-Word. We have another word for that, which causes even more confusion at times.laugh

In my sixty-three years, I have never heard the word ‘fok’ being used in the s*xual context. It just does not have that meaning. Yet, it is an undesirable word and we teach out children not to use it.confused

I wonder what is so magic about the s*xual act that people are so fond of replacing dead normal words like broken or spoiled with it. Why would people take a normal sentence like ‘Who the heck broke my confounded watch?’ and replace three words in it with the F-Word?hmmm

Don’t they know other words to use in the stead? I’m sure that with all the English ‘strong’ words available, we can give our favorite F-word a well-deserved break.giggle

A Nickname, You Say?

Nicknames are special. Not everybody gets one. It is not something you can buy or order. It is awarded to you like a medal or a dunce cap and the more you try to get rid of it, the longer it will linger. When you get a nickname, you have no choice. You will be stuck with it for as long as the people around you find it appealing, be that straight to your face or behind your back. stuck

I’m not talking about pet names that lovers call each other or shortened versions of your name. When Kimberley and William shorten their names to Kim and Will (or Bill), they don’t have nicknames. It is merely shortened versions of their real names.confused

A nickname can be given to you by your friends, family, enemies, colleagues, juniors at work, seniors at work, students, or just about anybody else. It can be inspired by affection, admiration, respect, contempt, of just plain mockery. It captures something about your person that people identify with you. It could be a sexy butt, facial feature like large ears, or something in your mannerism, even something about your character or occupation.wow

I had nicknames all my life. My parents called me Tawsi (whatever it may mean) and it lasted well into primary school until somebody named me Sywurm (Silkworm) which lasted until the first day of high school when one of the seniors discovered that my first and last names sound like Polar Bear. It stuck. There I sat, an Afrikaans speaking boy in an Afrikaans medium school, sporting an English nickname.doh

But the name evolved somewhat over the next five years. Midway through high school, I was simply ‘Die Beer’ (The Bear) which raised some eyebrows. As the youngest boy in the grade, I was not counted among the heavyweights. By the time I reached my final year, the name was refined to a more appropriate ‘Beertjie’ (small/baby bear).teddybear

Then, after I left school, ‘Catfoot’ was born. How that came about is another story. Today, 43 years later, the name is still with me; so deeply entrenched that people who have visited me at my home, who know my address and phone number, do not know my real name. I have received many a Christmas card addressed simply to ‘Katvoet’.

Of course, the real form of my nickname is the Afrikaans ‘Katvoet’ but Cat, Cattie, Kat, and Katjie are used also used from time to time. I still find it amusing that people who have known me for many years can come to me, very embarrassed, to ask my real name. Such action usually precedes a formal invitation to a wedding reception or an anniversary of some sort.giggle

So, if you have a nickname, treasure it. It is a part of you, even if you don’t like it.uh oh

For some reason the angel of the morning blogs call me Bob (another nickname?laugh). So much so that some people on CS thought my real name was Bob. Not So. My real name, when it pronounced in Afrikaans, sounds much like ‘Polar Bear’.rolling on the floor laughing

Have a great day out there, will you? And don't be shy of your nickname.wave

America vs. America

Think we will hear some of the defense today, it can be interesting.

In what ever I have written about Trump, a main question for me have to do with the polarisation of the people. You have two main parties in battle over different politics. You have strong opposition to the impeachment. For me it has become a bit clearer now.
There are two oposing narratives, which is like taken out of a spy novel. There are Fox, CNN, RT news, CBS, etc.

It is pretty strange that Trump have had that many phone calls with Putin, and some have wondered about that connection. It may very well be very simple - he may believe the Giuliani thread of stories. Giuliani may believe Giuliani. And opposed to this, you have what the House investigation believes.

In any case, it should not be all that difficult to present the opposing camps of beliefs and flesh out what is true or not. The President have some explaining to do. If he cannot explain what the facts are, then he is deceiving the nation.

Present the facts.

I Cannot Understand It

I’m starting to believe that I do not have a proper grasp of the English language. Some people simply cannot or will not understand what I try to say. This happens in real life as well.help

If I said: ‘All the people who arrived with the first bus, are now seated’, somebody is bound to quote me as having said: ‘All the people who are now seated, arrived with the first bus’. These two statements are not mutually inclusive. To make the second statement true, you have to replace the word ‘All’ in the first statement with ‘Only’. I can understand if the person doing this is still learning to speak English, but these are native English speakers. doh

And then there are the people who drag things out the context of the blog or paragraph. One has to be so careful of what you write or it may explode in your face. Each word has to be vetted and reevaluated before use. It takes a lot of the pleasure out of blogging. It is as if some people scan the blogs just to find something to criticize, regardless of the context or the spirit of the blog and paragraph. They are easy to recognize, it is the same people all the time. They do nothing but criticize. Never a positive comment.frustrated

I think some people simply fail to see the humor in apparent serious situations. Looking at something from the funny side of it, does not make it less serious, nor does it ridicule the ‘victims’. It is the situation and the circumstances, sometimes riddled with inconsistencies, which are being mocked with. There is humor in the most serious of events and I somewhat pity those who cannot see it. They miss a lot. We cannot go through life with long faces.grin

And maybe it is time to be less sensitive and to start laughing at ourselves. We, as individuals, are the funniest creatures on this planet; if only we could see ourselves the way others see us. Laugh a bit more, even if it is at your own expense. Life can be such fun.cheering

You Already Have It All!

I fail to understand why some women (always the same few) bítch about equality all the time. Why would any woman by her full senses, want to relinquish the upper hand for the sake of equality?giggle

It is the men who should be fighting for equality. But we don’t bítch about it all day long because we don’t feel inferior about being men. Just like most women don’t feel inferior about being women.thumbs up

For sucks fake! You are a woman; be proud of it. Is it so unpleasant to have sex with a man that you see it as if you’re doing him a favor? I always thought it was a mutual pleasure. Maybe you just did yourself short too many times by faking an o*gasm. And is it such a disgrace to be able to bear children? Now that is something us men folk cannot do! Maybe you don’t like being a woman.doh

Yes, I think your problem is that you want to be a man, but not having the right tools, you tried to compensate for it by dominating all the men in your life. No man worth anything will sit for it.thumbs down

The best advice I can give you is to get yourself a prissy sissy, tie him to the bed, blindfold him, stick a pencil into him to keep him up and screw his ears off. Maybe that will make you feel superior.idea

Failing that, go for the change, but be careful, the male tools are a bit more complicated to construct. From what I read, it is easier for a man to become a woman than what it is for a woman to become a man.dunno

Men and women are of equal importance; we just have different parts to play. If you remove any one of the two genders from the planet, it will be the end of the human species. In just a few decades there will be nobody left. Is that what you want?confused

Very Very disturbing....

I watched a link that Bali provided and as I watched it, I felt a cold shiver down my spine. Now, before I get deeper here let me say my knowledge in this area of the Muslim world is as close to my knowledge as performing brain surgery. I've never been to the ME never knew or met a Muslim so my information base as I said is severely limited.

Listening to this video created many thoughts in my mind. One of which is an area that I thought was a holy sanctum 'the Mosque' was a place to learn about their God. This video proved otherwise, it reminded me of the beginning as Hitler was assembling his army of terrorists.

I also thought that having Saudi Arabia as a USA ally was a good thing for the aid in keeping peace in the ME. I no longer think this.

As the video describes that they are promoting the s*xual intercourse of 9 year old girls and hitting them and their wifes for not wearing the proper clothing etc.....wow....just plain wow.....who would have known this is what is being taught in addition to the acts of terrorism.....

Now, like in Germany during WWII there were good Germans and bad ones. Millions of people didn't die at the hands of a few. The same thing holds true here, I guess, there are good Muslims and bad ones. But, if they're teaching the young these types of uncivilized behaviors someday in the future all hell will break loose.

I will not comment here, as prior stated, my knowledge is limited and I don't have the time.....but it was quite an awakening for me, thank you Bali..

Here is Bali's link..http://www.israelvideonetwork.com/the-film-that-uncovers-what-is-really-happening-in-mosques-across-the-uk/
