Time to take 'stock'?

Dear All
I tend to take life seriously. This applies to my job, relationships and all the dimensions I belief I can impact. This time of the year I focus very much on things I am grateful for and the things I could maybe have done differently. It gives me a sense of closure for this year and energy for the new year to come. Are there other people who also despite the festive atmosphere use this time to seriously take stock in order to prepare for the new Year?

‘People Would Go Crazy’: Meadows Says Trump Should Be Next House Speaker

Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows went scorched earth this week and offered an interesting idea if Republicans win control of the House next year.

Appearing on Steve Bannon’s podcast The War Room, Meadows suggested that if Republicans win control of the House in the 2022 midterm elections, the party should install Donald Trump as House speaker.

“I would love to see the gavel go from Nancy Pelosi to Donald Trump, talk about melting down, people would go crazy,” Meadows said.

There is no rule that says the Speaker of the House is a position reserved for sitting members of Congress.

If Republicans win control of the House next November, they can vote on and appoint Trump as House speaker, as NBC noted.

Who we are

In a previous blog I wrote, something funny took place. Watching the Trump go one-on-one with Laura Ingraham, he revealed to me, like a sort of regression, a kid not being appreciated by his father, a lot of pieces of the enigma fell into place. I shared the video, believing it would be plain for everyone to see. But it was not.

Why not ? Well, it resonated with some of my own battles in early childhood. I recognized something. For Trump, it is not about politics, it is not about doing something good for the American people. It is personal. He has been wronged.

Who are we ?

We all have a personal history. We seek support of our own beliefs. Trump supporters have a personal story that resonate with Trump, others have the opposite. If I say anything negative about Trump, a Trump defender takes it personal and react strongly, because his beliefs come under attack.

That is "who we are". We are our own beliefs and emotions. It is the lens we perceive the world through.

This is who we are. And we react. We fight each other - not because of Trump, but because of our own invested beliefs. But beliefs change. The beliefs I held as a child, did keep me safe, while they would not be appropriate today. Many beliefs may change because you get better informed. We are aware that our knowledge is not good in many areas. Because of goodwill and dependence on other people, we usually are a bit more reserved and careful or else we may loose those benefits. It is a bit strange that people so willingly seem to throw such constraints overboard and even provoke open conflicts for an untrustworthy individual in Washington that in any case will only be around for a numbered years.

Good and evil ? You shall know them by their fruits. So what does it taste like ?

Elizabeth Warren - Pocahontas at least since 1986

Seems Elizabeth Warren has been posing as an American Indian at least as far back as April 18, 1986.
Her registration card from the State Bar of Texas shows her signature on the form and claims her race as American Indian.

Covid spreading with unsecured Southern border, and Biden & CDC tell all to mask up

Biden is poisoning America, guilty of spreading Covid in America because his administration is telling illegals they are welcome at our southern border.

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) stated that the Biden administration is “trying to restrict us as Americans” while being “completely deaf, dumb, and blind to the problem created by COVID through illegal immigration.”

Graham said, “We have travel bans to some of our best allies with a very robust healthcare system. We have absolutely nothing in place regarding illegal immigrants coming from the most severe hotspots in the world with no health care. It doesn’t make any sense. And what I’m trying to do is ask the Biden administration to have an accounting for how they deal with the million coming across, how many are tested, how many are released in the United States. … It doesn’t seem to matter that the border communities are exposed to illegal immigrants. What matters is the Biden administration’s trying to restrict us as Americans and just completely deaf, dumb, and blind to the problem created by COVID through illegal immigration.”

Impeachment Is Nothing But Throwing More Dirt And Hoping Some Will Stick

The process the Democrats have employed to gin up support for impeaching President Donald Trump has been almost as long as Chairman Mao’s long march. It has also been tragically absurdist. It is filled with twists and turns as the Democrats slog through the muck they have raked up in their attempt to obviate the 2016 presidential election by overthrowing the will of the American voter and throwing out President Trump.

Their march commenced with Trump’s historic election in November 2016, which prompted a Texas Democrat to announce his intention to introduce Articles of Impeachment within months of President Trump assuming office.

Democrats have tossed every piece of dirt and dung at the president hoping that something would stick. Well, nothing has. People who just throw anything in the air end up covered with the stuff they are tossing. In other words, if you ever want to know what the Democrats are doing, just observe what they are accusing everyone else of doing.

The Russia Accusations Were Proven False
Take Hillary Clinton. She was so devastated by her loss to President Trump that she joined others to claim the Trump campaign had “colluded” with the Russians to affect the outcome of the election. After 22 months of the Robert Mueller investigation, even his team of politically biased investigators concluded that there had been no “collusion,” conspiracy, coordination, or cooperation.

But we did find the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee had engaged an opposition research firm with ties to Russia and the United Kingdom to dig up dirt on then-candidate Trump. The now-infamous Steele dossier was created out of whole cloth using those foreign sources to simply make up some of the most outrageous lies against Trump in the history of American politics.

And now Nancy Pelosi, who had attempted to slow down Democrats’ impeachment fantasies, has yielded to the pressure of her radical colleagues. She has spread this unauthorized “impeachment inquiry” among six different House Committees, ostensibly freezing out House Judiciary because Chairman Jerrold Nadler continues to embarrass Democrats with his pronouncements and ineffective hearings that have brought their less-than-stealthy intention to impeach President Trump to public disapprobation.

That leads us to the process Speaker Pelosi now wishes to employ—a process that betrays the precedent for these proceedings. Pelosi has gotten caught up in Trump Derangement Syndrome. During the Nixon and Clinton proceedings, the attorneys for those presidents could represent their clients, and in some cases, they were allowed to question witnesses. Not so in the 2019 political attack by Democrats.

Impeachment is “somber,” Pelosi says. If she truly believed that, then why would she select one of the most-virulent Trump attackers to lead the investigation? Of course, impeachment is a partisan process, but in the Nixon and Clinton cases there was overwhelming, bipartisan support for the investigations, confirmed by a vote of the full House to authorize them. Why so different now?

Because, in the aforementioned cases, there were allegations that many believed were, or easily could be, substantiated. Further, in the earlier proceedings, each side believed the rules of impeachment would be followed, but we haven’t even voted on such rules in President Trump’s case. And as I mentioned earlier, Democrats have hyped impeachment of Donald J. Trump since Election Day 2016.
