Cowboys Don’t Cry

I think we grew accustomed through the years to see blogs from time to time wherein people complain about abrasive blogs and/or comments.help

Yes, sure; sometimes it has merit. Some people are rather nasty with the stuff they post, but I cannot help to have very little sympathy when the complaints come from people who made it their mission in the past to ridicule visitors to their blogs.talk to hand

And then he cries wolf because he or somebody else is being ridiculed, complaining about true colors while his own true colors showed a long time ago. It appears that what goes around comes around and apparently some people don’t like the taste of their own medicine.tongue

To sum it up, in a nutshell: practice what you preach. You cannot expect a lot of sympathy from bystanders when you are beaten with your own whip. If you get a kick out of insulting people, then fine, it is your choice. Carry on cowboy; by all means. I think most of us have learned to handle it. But don’t complain when you get your own back. Cowboys don’t cry or, to put it more bluntly: If you don’t like the heat, stay out of the kitchen.cowboy

Never an answer back

Do any of you get a message or something in the flower box. And you answer with a polite thank you. And ask how there day is going. Then you never hear back. Does this happen to a lot of people here.

Chuckling!!!

As I've mentioned before I'm in the night shift. In the wee hrs this morning at the factory, a commotion ensued. Two ladies who are compatriots and who hailed from Latin America were getting physical. The JLeader helped pacify them and in so doing his white uniform was smeared with blood. Both are in their 40's and one had physically overpowered the other that after the commotion, the other one was left with one scratch near the nose bridge and another one at the cheekbone aside from a painful arm. I just can't imagine how in the name of job stress, one could go to the extent of incurring physical injury. Isn't it a crime? My take is if one can't handle the stress of the job, it's either she resign or limit her overtime work. When we left at around 8:30, the higher ups were having a meeting. Some who have stayed in a company for so long feel some kind of entitlement as if they become stockholders and own one wall of the factory. sigh sigh sigh

What should a ‘new’ year mean…

Nothing new, same old ‘stuffwink? Just a bit older and a bit closer to death? Another year of man-made and natural diseases and disasters? Another opportunity to begin again, to try to do better, to make new friends and meet someone that could be extra special?

Of course, it would mean different things to different people based on one’s hopes, and fears, too. The thing is, I think that this new year would probably be a mix of all of that and more, sadly with more of the negatives than the positives.

But… dwelling on the negatives is no way to start with anything that’s new. If I got a new house, car, job or boyfriend tomorrow I’d only be imagining the possibilities, not the unforeseen problems that could arise. I’d have a smile on my face and a skip in my step, in anticipation of the ‘what’s next’.

“New” usually means ‘better’, so… just maybe… this coming year will be better. If not as it relates to the current global situations, then at least for each one of us in our personal life. Fingers and toes crossedgrin.

Have a fantastic New Year, everyone. Blessings!wine cheering heart wings angel2

Can humanity be saved?

If so how?

Some think wars are made to promote greed. Some say it is done to resolve conflict. I say, it's because evil and good exist.

Meantime many innocent lives are lost.

Question is, when it's going to end?

Anyone?

A very sad world we live in. I wish all is peaceful and calm.

Do you? wave

Common Sense.

Now that is a scarce resource. Common Sense will even prevent you from making a fool of yourself when you believe that you are brighter and better than those around you; something that a high IQ and/or EQ apparently cannot do.uh oh

But either way, I have serious doubts about people propagating their superior IQs and EQs when nobody asked them for their CVs, especially when it is not verifiable by a reputable instance.blah blah

Socialism and Bernie

If Socialism is all about sharing then why won't Bernie share his fries?

Why does bad things happen to good People?

I need perspective...and I am therefore open to different opinions.
Background:
I'm a trained Industrial Psychologist and left a good job in Johannesburg to move closer to my folks last year December. My dad is bed bounded for the past 15 years and my mom had polio as a little girl. Most of my family is in Germany, I'm the only child, couldn't find a life partner as yet and do not have any children. Just as I arrived in the Northern Cape, my mom fell and I have two bed bounded folks I have to take care of.

Question:
Now, I need to know if there are any other people who also sometimes wonder as to why bad things happen to good People?
I'm not Miss Perfect, but I try to be good and do good where ever I go. So, tell me why does life have to be like This? Am I the only one who are maybe too critical when it gets to why things happen the way it Does?

PS: Remember to give the people you know who are caregivers a special hug this Christmas, as it could be very much needed.
