Heavenly Quotes on Heaven! Pt. 11

Embedded image from another site

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 5:8 & 8:37-39

The Heavenly City -- Mansions, Children, Music, and Pets!

"The paradise that God has prepared for us, the marvelous Heavenly City, is clearly and explicitly described in His Holy Book, the Bible, in the last two chapters of Revelation, the prophecies of Saint John. It is so amazing, so breathtakingly beautiful, that it is almost beyond description!

It is the largest City ever built, built by God Himself! It is 1,500 miles wide and 1,500 miles high. It glows with golden light from its crystal golden beauty and is full of golden mansions for you and me!

The streets are made of scintillating crystal-clear gold. It is surrounded by a very high wall with twelve pearly gates. This is to prevent the entry of any who are not yet ready to enter therein.

Within its shimmering gates is the Paradise of God, where the River of Life winds gracefully through lush parks where laughing children and gentle animals play -- and where departed loved ones await our coming!--David Berg

"In Heaven, each of us will have a special place to live. Before Jesus left this earth, He told His followers that He would prepare a place for them and all believers in the hereafter. "In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also" (John 14:2,3). One of these days, we're going to own a mansion that isn't going to cost us anything -- no upkeep, no expenses!--David Berg

"It would be hard to imagine Heaven without children. It wouldn't be Heaven! It would be a pretty boring place without children. What are we going to do, all get to be old people and then stagnate and that's the end of it? Once all those that are already born grow up, the place would really lack life without new generations of children! If there were no children, it would be a dead society.--David Berg

"Heaven is the perfect place to raise children. Everything will be just the way it was intended to be in the beginning, a perfect environment without pain and danger, accidents and death and the horrors of this world. Babies won't have to cry. -- They'll have everything they need. We'll be able to read their little minds, and we won't have to wonder what they're needing. Just think of all the advantages of rearing children in Heaven. It will be pure pleasure!--David Berg

"[Heaven is] a land where children shall walk on cool springy turf, and among myrtle trees, and eat fruits that shall heal while they delight them, and drink the coolest of water, fresh from the River of Life, and have space to stretch themselves, and bathe, and leap, and run, and whichsoever way they look meet Christ's eyes smiling on them.--Thomas Moore

"Music will still be a big part of our environment. The Bible talks about choirs of angels and how there is singing in Heaven. We're going to have the greatest choirs, the greatest bands and symphony orchestras, the greatest music that the world has ever known. The world has never even heard music yet compared to what we're going to have there! If humans can make the beautiful music they have learned to make with these hand-made instruments, think what God can do supernaturally!--David Berg

Overcoming Past Hurts

The holidays are one of the most important and meaningful times of the year for families. There are periods of celebration, fun, worship, and connection. yay In addition, there are wonderful teaching times of reflection and appreciation of who God is and all of the good things He does.

At the same time, the holiday season can be accompanied by sadness and hurt feelings. moping Sometimes people can become depressed, moody, withdrawn, and unable to enter into the spirit of the season the way they would like.

Holiday and the past

Why are people sad at this time of year? It has to do with the nature of your memory and your heart. Holidays are anniversaries which occur on a regular, yearly basis. And during holidays, it is natural to review, remember, and reflect on what has happened in the previous year. You not only remember the good but the negative and painful as well.

For example, you may have lost a loved one. During the holidays, it is natural to find yourself remembering that person and wishing they were there in the celebration and festivities as in years past. Or a difficult circumstance might come to mind, such as moving the family to a new place, a financial burden, or a marriage problem. You may remember how hard past months were or the hurt someone caused you.

Most people do not dredge these memories up on purpose. It is natural that you remember reality-good and painful- during the holidays.

Expecting the ideal

On top of these memories or challenging circumstances, you may expect yourself to be happy and joyful during the holidays, sometimes to a fault. You think, "What is wrong with me? Don't I appreciate all that God has done for me?" So you begin to compare your feelings and experiences with the ideal and standard of the holidays.

The gap you see between how you really feel and what you think you should feel can make things worse, rendering guilt for not being happy enough. Often, a downward spiral then begins.

Unfruitful attempts

It is common to deal with these hurt feelings and memories as best you can, because no one wants to be sad on a holiday. However, your attempts do not always bear good fruit. For example, sometimes you may try to ignore your heart and get busy with the season. You hope that if you do not think about what you are feeling, it might go away. Unfortunately, that is not the way life works. What is inside of you does not disappear if you look the other way. In fact, it often gets worse, just like an infection in the body continues growing if you do not get an antibiotic.

Another strategy is to compensate. That is, you may try to act the opposite of what you feel, hoping that will balance things inside. So if you are feeling really depressed, you may try to act just as cheerful as you are depressed. This actually can make things worse, by simply pretending and not being honest.

Becoming real and loved

The best solution is God's solution. hug He never says to ignore reality or to compensate for a real hurt. Rather, He validates that you have been hurt and have had difficult times, and He wants to help you.

During holidays, you need two things.

First, you need permission to be honest about what you are remembering and feeling. Sad things do happen to people, and God knows and cares. This process is called confession, and simply means to agree with the truth. Confess your mistakes, hurts, past, and sins in order to be healed (James 5:16).

Secondly, you need love and comfort. When you are real about a pain, God brings you His grace and comfort to console and heal you. He does this directly, and He does this through His people: "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in it's various forms (1 Pet. 4:10).

Mathematical equation...

According to estimates, there are roughly 4,200 religions in the world. The word religion is sometimes used interchangeably with "faith" or "belief system", but religion differs from private belief in that it has a public aspect.

So using simple math we can calculate that the odds of you picking the correct one are :

4200 to 1

Or

A 1 in 4200 chance of picking the true religion

Or 0.0002380952%

So putting 4200 people in a room everyone with God in their heart (just a different interpretation of that god) would be most entertaining ...

God is always perfect.......

A king who did not believe in the goodness of God, had a slave who, in all circumstances, said: “My king, do not be discouraged, because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes!”

One day they went hunting and along the way a wild animal attacked the king. His slave managed to kill the animal, but could not prevent his majesty losing a finger.

Furious and without showing his gratitude for being saved, the nobleman said “Is God good? If He was good, I would not have been attacked and lost my finger.” The slave replied: “My king, despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good, and he knows “why” of all these things. What God does is perfect. He is never wrong!” Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his slave.

Later, he left for another hunt and was captured by savages who made human sacrifices. In the altar, ready to sacrifice the nobleman, the savages found that the victim had not one of his fingers, so he was released. According to them, it was not so complete to be offered to the gods.

Upon his return to the palace, he authorized the release of his slave that he received very affectionately. “My dear, God was really good to me! I was almost killed by the wild men, but for lack of a single finger, I was let go! But I have a question: if God is so good, why did he allow me to put you in jail?”

The slave replied: ”My King, if I had gone with you in this hunt, I would have been sacrificed for you, because I have no missing finger, therefore, remember everything God does is perfect. He is never wrong.”

Often we complain about life, and negative things that happen to us, forgetting that nothing is random and that everything has a purpose. Every morning, offer your day to God, don’t be in a rush. God is the perfect father.

Ask God to inspire your thoughts, guide your actions, and ease your feelings. And do not be afraid. God is never wrong! You know why this message is for you? I do not know, but God knows, because he never makes mistakes.
The path of God and his word is perfect, without impurities. He is the way of all those who trust in Him.

"Relating again"

Forget relationships and learn how to relate. Once you are in a relationship you start taking each other for granted – that’s what destroys all love affairs. The woman thinks she knows the man, the man thinks he knows the woman. Nobody knows either! It is impossible to know the other, the other remains a mystery. And to take the other for granted is insulting, disrespectful. To think that you know your wife is very, very ungrateful. How can you know the woman? How can you know the man? They are processes, they are not things. The woman that you knew yesterday is not there today. So much water has gone down the Ganges; she is somebody else, totally different. Relate again, start again, don’t take it for granted. And the man that you slept with last night, look at his face again in the morning. He is no more the same person, so much has changed. So much, incalculably much has changed. That is the difference between a thing and a person. The furniture in the room is the same, but the man and the woman, they are no more the same. Explore again, start again. That’s what I mean by relating

The Prayer of Jesus (part 6)

And Lead Us Not Into Temptation, But Deliver Us From The Evil One.

Memo

From: Lord Lucifer

To: All Minions-of-Evil

Subject: Performance Review

Get with it, guys! Our objective of world domination- while making major advances- has not yet been met!!!

Yes, we have pulled off some good ones- my performance in the Garden of Eden was especially brilliant-and much remains to be done. Never forget: Mankind has a great Champion...and a powerful Secret Weapon. I remind you again: Beware of the Armor of God!

Preparing for Battle

Okay, maybe it's not polite to read other people's mail (even the fictional letter mentioned above). On the other hand, it is an excellent idea to remind ourselves- often!- that we are targets of a great plot. And the stakes are nothing less than our immortal souls!

We live in the middle of the greatest war of all times...Good vs. Evil. God the all-powerful Creator, on one side. Satan on the other side. And us in the middle...with an obligation to choose sides, and join in the battle.

However, God has not left us unprotected. He sent His Son to weight the balance in our favor. And He has given us powerful weapons to use everyday of our lives, to defeat the powers of darkness.

When we pray, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one," you should immediately remember to "put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against he devil's schemes."That of course, means you are not only intimately acquainted with each piece of the armor described by Paul in Ephesians 6, but you understand what each piece represents:

"So stand strong, with the belt of truth tied around your waist. And on your chest wear protection of right living. And on your feet wear the Good News of peace to help you stand strong. And also use the shield of faith. With that you can stop all the burning arrows of the Evil One. Accept God's salvation to be your helmet. And take the sword of the Spirit -that is the teaching of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times. Pray with all kinds of prayers, and ask for everything you need. To do this you must be always ready. Never give up. Always pray for all God's people" (Eph. 6:14-18 ICB).

When we put on God's armor we are ready to face Evil...and win. We have God's word on it. Without God's full armor of protection from evil, "You are a Guaranteed Casualty" in the invisible war, but with God's armor you are "invincible."

In the context of spiritual warfare, we must neither overestimate nor underestimate the power and province of our adversary. No doubt to his delight, we often depict the Devil as the author of darkness in much the same way that God is described as the Author of Light. That, however, is far from true. God is the sovereign Author of all creation; Satan is but an angel that He has created. Satan is not the opposite of the Creator. Rather, as a fallen angel, he is the counterpart to the archangel Michael.

While it is fashionable to credit the Devil with every temptation we face, we must be ever mindful that spiritual warfare involves the world and the flesh as well. As Jesus makes clear in the parable of the Sower, we are often fruitless because of "the worries of this life, and the deceitfulness of wealth" (Matt. 13:22).

Just as we should never overestimate the Devil, we would also err greatly in underestimating his cunning craftiness. He is a malevolent being, the vastness of whose intellect exceeds that of any human who has ever lived from Solomon to Socrates.

GOD IS STILL TALKING TO US TODAY AS IN THE PAST

Yes, GOD is still talking to many people today, just as HE did in the past. The same way GOD spoke to people in the past, as written in the HOLY BIBLE, GOD still talks with HIS people today.

But most people are using the name of GOD to spread lies, and deceive many people in the name of GOD.Thus breaking GOD'S commandment which says thou shalt not call the name of GOD in vain.

GOD IS STILL SPEAKING TO HIS PEOPLE TODAY! IF YOU HAVE NOT YET LISTEN TO THE WORDS AND THE INSTRUCTIONS OF GOD, THEN YOU ARE NOT HIS PEOPLE!

Some people say, life is too short, they wish to enjoy! Well guess what! one of the longest thing GOD created was life. Life only transfer, so life doesn't end, because there is a continuation in the KINGDOM OF JESUS CHRIST! or in dark hell full of heat and sufferings!

The "defects" of Jesus (part 1)

Hi everyone!wave

I still remember I once told you that humans are not anyone is perfect, but Jesus! However, recently I have discovered some things that can be said is quite interesting to know: there is a person who has studied the Bible in a very thorough and he raised a number of things that he declared that Jesus had ... some of weaknesses.
I would like to tell you about the interesting things, which I've read. And this blog is to talk about one of the weaknesses of Jesus.

"JESUS WEAK MEMORY"
Near the death, Jesus had the last conversation with the two thieves, who was hanging on the cross next to Him. One of them had uttered these words with Jesus: "Jesus, when you come into your kingdom you, remember me." And Jesus said to him: "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in Heaven" (Luke 23, 42-43).

Jesus did not examine his background to remind how much was the extent of his wickedness. Also Jesus did not consider serious offenses, or misdemeanors of him to just tolerated or temporary punishment somehow that appropriate for him. The thief has appealed His mind, then He was just "remembering" something that he was seeing him in front of His Face, and all unrighteousness before of the thief, Jesus had forgotten!!! The "forgetting" of Jesus reached level: immediately that day, He promised kingdom of heaven right for him (the thief)!
How funny that the Saints said: "This guy, he was a lifelong thief, and until his death, he also stole the Kingdom of Heaven, too!!!"

In the Gospel we see more evidence of a Jesus, Who had such bad memory. And so, through the fable "The merciful father", the event is clear. Luke says that the youngest of two children of the father had taken away the part of its heritage, to run away from home to live a life of dissipated, forgot his father, forgot his brother. But when money runs out, meet in hunger, he returned home to confess sins and did beg to the father gave him forgiveness ...

The father (the image of Jesus), not to mention the old sins, but only looked forward, waiting for the prodigal son to return home. As soon as he saw the boy from afar, he was overjoyed and he ran to catch the child, whom he thought is lost, but now has returned. The father was not bigotry to heckle old sins, but he had ordered servant: "Let get nice clothes, good shoes, precious ring for him, let do calf fat meat to feast, because my son is dead but now it's alive."

Luke. 15, 20-23
He was in the distance, the father saw his son. He had compassion, and ran and embraced his neck and kissed him. Then the son said," Father, I actually obtained crime against God and Father, I do not worthy to be called your son ...." But the father said to the servants, saying, " Bring quickly the best robe it on him, put a ring on his hand, and shoes at his feet, and then go catch the goat was slaughtered fattening we opened celebrations! ...".

We can see in these cases that the memory of Jesus seems to not work anymore!!!!!confused grin wave

A place of rest, disturbed.

Went to the graveyard this afternoon, not been there since my sisters ashes went down with mother, in December gone. Plan was to remove withered flower's, tidy up the grave and get it ready for spring bloom. Among the usual bits and bobs already on the grave was heart stone with the words MUM engraved along with a sentimental verse, the moment I seen it, I had a bad feeling about it.

I am the main keeper of the grave, the others never visit but nevertheless I asked my siblings all the same if any had left the stone there recently, and like I guessed, neither of the three had which means there is one remaining ... he being the prodigal son, my youngest brother.

It's a real stone/rock, heart shaped, nice imprint of the image of Jesus along with lovely words...
" two tired eyes are sleeping"
two willing hands are still
the one who worked so hard for us
is resting at Gods will.

The end of the heart is flat, designed as if to go in soil, I picked it up, there was a very rusty stand at it's back to stand it upright, it looked old and the flat part looked discolored, as if it were in the ground, but on my mothers grave it was not.

I can't prove it but I know it was stolen from another woman's / mothers grave and and that bothers me BIG TIME, not just because my own mother was very superstitious about stealing from graves but in my eyes, it's morally wrong very mad

Now I've the task of trying to find the lady's grave the stone should be resting on...
I've no idea how the heck I'm going to do that, but I'll try help
but regardless of whatever, I'm not going to be leaving the stolen stone on my mothers grave.

Just out of a matter of interest ....
Is what my brother done, forgivable?

Story of Neng Kuei the basket-maker Pt. 1

Neng Kuei the basket-maker in Ning Po.

By PowerPointParadise 07/10

In the year 1858, Hudson Taylor’s mission in China was beginning to reach some of the Chinese people with the gospel. There was Neng-kuei the basket-maker, Wang the farmer and Tsui the teacher.

One evening, a Mr. Ni passed by the open door where the bell was being rung to announce the time for Bible services to begin. Mr. Ni had never heard the gospel, but he had searched all his life for the truth. He had studied Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism and had found no rest.

He stepped in to hear the religious message. As he listened to the message taken from John 3:14-17 about how Christ became sin for all, he understood many things for the first time.

At the close of the service, he arose and announced that he had finally found the peace he had long sought for and that from henceforth he would be a believer in Jesus. He proved true to his word and became one of the most faithful workers in the mission.

One day, he asked Hudson Taylor, “How long have you had the Glad Tidings in your country?” The missionary reluctantly told him, “Some hundreds of years.” “What!” replied Mr. Ni, “My father sought the Truth and died without finding it. Oh, why did you not come sooner?”

Ad. from Hudson Taylor’s Spiritual Secret by Dr. & Mrs. Howard Taylor.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
“As a poor helpless sinner,” Hudson Taylor wrote, Neng-kuei cast himself upon God’s forgiving mercy, and found peace in believing. His love for the Bible was great, and he spent every available moment over its pages. Perhaps it was this that made his Christian life so restful. Wherever he went he carried a blessing with him and many a woman on a back street first heard the message of redeeming love from his lips.

Neng-kuei, too, from the very first was a soul-winner. Not unlike Peter in his fervent, devoted spirit, he also was used to bring the message of salvation to seeking souls whose prayers were known to God alone. One such was daily traversing the streets of Ning-po at this time, in search of a religion of which he knew nothing save that it would bring him peace; and but for a great trial coming into Neng-kuei’s life, he might have been long without finding it.

It was the busy season for basket-makers, and Neng kuei’s master insisted that he must work on Sunday. It was no use reminding him of his agreement, or suggesting that he should call in additional help. No, this idea of resting one day in seven was all very well for foreigners. but, now there was work to be done, Neng-kuei must be broken of it.

“Come to-morrow, or not at all,” was his ultimatum. And the Christian basket-maker knew himself dismissed.

Nor was this the worst of it. For on Monday morning, when he set about seeking other employment, every door was closed. No one wanted workmen, busy season though it was, and Neng-kuei tramped the city in vain.

“The devil is having hard at me,” thought he at last; “but I must and will resist him. If he will not let me have other employment, I will give my time to plucking souls from his kingdom.”

And this he did by spending the rest of the day in distributing tracts, and talking in the streets amid tea-shops with all who were inclined to listen.

Far away from Ning-po, in the beautiful valley of the Feng-hwa river, lay the farming district from which Neng kuei himself had come. There he had learned his trade and married the young wife from whom he had been parted in little more than a year. Her death had been terrible— a death in the dark, like so many thousands, alas, in China every year! Poor Neng-kuei could speak no word of comfort as she was passing from him in anguish and fear. And still there was no voice to tell among all those hills and valleys of Jesus and His redeeming love.
