God’s Law of Love

Embedded image from another site

We believe that God’s Law of Love as explained in Matthew 22:35–40 should govern every aspect of a Christian’s life and interactions with others. An expert in the Mosaic Law tested Jesus with this question: “‘Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” We therefore believe that a Christian’s actions should be motivated by unselfish, sacrificial love—the love of God for our fellow man.

God’s Law of Love is the ultimate fulfillment of Biblical law, including the Ten Commandments, as it fulfills the intent of such laws. “All the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Galatians 5:14). We therefore believe that through Christ’s salvation and His Law of Love, Christians are released from the Mosaic laws in the Old Testament and are no longer required to observe them. Instead, they are held to a higher law—Christ’s Law of Love, which should guide all their interactions with others.

Romans 13:8–10 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

James 2:8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

Galatians 3:23–25 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Matthew 5:38–46 You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?

I realise it's very hard to understand if you've never had the 1 on 1 contact with a narc, but it's as real as..wait let me think of a comparable ...Trump and Hillary.....both with compromised souls....

It's a ten minute video (from a narc's perspective) that will be invaluable to all of you in your lives...

Spiritual Power

Embedded image from another site

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:10-12 KJV

Power from God makes possible things that are beyond our human capabilities. This power can manifest itself in many ways: a miraculous healing; an easing of stress and emotional pressure; a change in circumstances that couldn’t be brought about through human effort; insight that transcends earthly wisdom, knowledge, and experience; the capacity to love sacrificially and unconditionally, as God loves us. From simple solutions to outright miracles, all come from a force outside of us. It is the power of God.

There is tremendous power in God’s love. It forgives sins, changes hearts, renews spirits, restores health, gives hope to the despairing and strength to the weary, and brings sunshine where there is darkness.

God is all-powerful, and all things are possible for those who tap into His power through faith and prayer. With faith no bigger than a mustard seed, anyone can cast mountains into the sea, (Matthew 21:21) heal the sick, raise the dead, and give new life to the desperate and needy (Matthew 10:8).

Do you think millions of people throughout the ages would have believed in prayer if it didn’t work? Discover the power of prayer for yourself. It’s no secret.

God knows each person’s heart and innermost needs, feelings, and fears, and it’s in His power to give each person exactly what he or she needs.

The secret of spiritual power and victory and overcoming and fruitfulness and fire and life and light—the secret to everything good—is found in God’s Word!

God has unlimited power, but to tap in to that power you need a conduit, a line. Faith is like a cord that carries God’s power from the source to the appliance.

We’ve all seen superhero comic books and movies like Superman where people had supernatural powers. Though they lived in the physical world, they had powers that enabled them to defy its limitations and to do things that were impossible for mere humans. That’s how it is in the spirit. God’s Spirit in you gives you power to break out of the problems and despair of life by bringing you happiness, hope, courage, and new strength that is unquenchable and unstoppable.

Including God in everything adds a whole new dimension to life. It’s like stepping into a new world where even things that used to be mundane can become extraordinary.

EVERY TIME OF TESTING AND TRIAL, EVERY TIME OF SUFFERING, IS A TIME OF DECISION!

Suffering is a catalyst, it's the test-tube-time to see whether you already have the grace to take it by faith, or if it can turn you to grace and cause you to call upon God.

Suffering always does one of these three things: It purifies and humbles and cleanses the saved and draws us even closer to God; it turns some of the unsaved to God and brings them to repentance and Salvation as in their suffering they cry unto the Lord; and then, finally, it causes some to curse God all the more and therefore be all the more deserving of His judgements.

The Lord allows the Enemy to test people and often the Devil brings suffering on people hoping they will blame it all on God and turn against Him. The Enemy tries to point an accusing finger at the Love of God, hoping they will "curse God and die" as Job's wife advised him to do. But the Lord is hoping that they will endure in faith and trust Him anyway, and say with Job, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him!" (Job 13:15).

Give us joy in our labors and glory in our tasks, Lord.

Thank the Lord for the oil of His Spirit! -- That vital touch with Him -- His Divine Life, Beauty, Power and Wisdom!

If you've got that divine anointing, it makes every little task wonderful! Anything you do, no matter what it is, you can do it in the Spirit! But if you just have the letter of the law of duty only, it drags you down and turns you off. -- "So, you gotta have a glory in the thing you do; oh, you gotta have that somethin' thrills you through and through; cookin' taters, washin' clothes, or blowin' baby's nose; you need that certain somethin' that will see you through!" Call it what you like: inspiration, charisma, talent, personality, or the Spirit -- you've gotta have something that brings you to life, spurs you to action -- emotion that moves you into motion!

The Spirit can make every task, whatever it is, glorious! -- In the Spirit, in the Spirit, all my life is like a song; in the Spirit, in the Spirit, I am happy all day long! In the Spirit, in the Spirit, there is much more right than wrong; in the Spirit, in the Spirit, you can really kick the gong!

Have you got the Spirit? Has whatever you do got the power and the fire of God? -- If not, it's dead works! God help you to have the fire-power of God's Spirit in all you do! Amen? Hallelujah!

Heavenly Quotes on Heaven! Pt. 2

Embedded image from another site

For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren... Hebrews 2:11(KJV)

We can enjoy Heaven now. We can have half of the enjoyment ahead of time by looking forward to it, thinking about it, reading about it and anticipating it.--David Berg

ON THE JOYS OF HEAVEN. There is no good in this life but what is mingled with some evil; honors perplex, riches disquiet, and pleasures ruin health. But in heaven we shall find blessings in their purity, without any ingredient to embitter, with everything to sweeten them. O! who is able to conceive the inexpressible, inconceivable joys that are there? None but they who have tasted of them. Lord, help us to put such a value upon them here, that in order to prepare ourselves for them, we may be willing to forego the loss of all those deluding pleasures here.

How will the heavens echo of joy, when the bride, the Lamb's wife, shall come to dwell with her husband for ever! Christ is the desire of nations, the joy of angels, the delight of the Father; what solace then must that soul be filled with that hath the possession of him to all eternity? O! what acclamations of joy will there be when all the children of God shall meet together, without fear of being disturbed by the Antichrist and Cainish brood! Is there not a time coming when the godly may ask the wicked what profit they have in their pleasure? what comfort in their greatness? and what knit in all their labor? If you would be better satisfied what the beautiful vision means, my request is that you would live holy, and go and see.--John Bunyan, author of Pilgrims Progress

"Heaven is a city without a cemetery--Anonymous

"Heaven is something that we can easily get excited and thrilled about and look forward to. It will be like Christmas is for children, only it will be the greatest Christmas we've ever had!--David Berg

"Heaven and the spirit world are much more real, beautiful and lasting than the world which you can see with your natural eyes at this very moment.--David Berg

"Where is there a country without sin, crime, lawlessness, bloodshed, disease, death, sorrow and heartache? Heaven is a country in which there is the absence of all that is common to any land, for in God's country there are no barriers, no walls or curtains to divide; no race barrier; no soldiers because there are no wars; no policemen because there is no crime or sin; no undertakers because there are no graves; no physicians because germs, fevers, pestilences, diseases are unknown; no thieves because there is no darkness. Who would not yearn for this better and more desirable country in which there are no separations, no broken homes, no drunkards, no prisons, no hospitals, no beggars, no persons who are blind, deaf, dumb or destitute? What a country! Are you not homesick for Heaven?--H. Lockyer

"Heaven is going to be like this life, only better. It will be like this life with all its joys and beauties and pleasures, but without the drawbacks -- with all the assets but none of the liabilities.--David Berg

"In Heaven, you're going to get just about whatever you want. Heaven's the place where all your heart's desires will be fulfilled -- if they're good ones. Put in your order now!--David Berg

"The more of Heaven we cherish, the less of Earth we covet.--David Berg

"If we really understood Heaven, we would be most unhappy and unsatisfied with life on Earth. We would rebel against our earthly limitations. If we saw Heaven, we could not bear this earth. That's why Heaven is forever: we cannot bear to leave it after we get there.--C.L. Allen

Biblical Faith: Rational/Irrational? - 'God, I don't want to die,' U.S. missionary wrote before he w

An American missionary trying to meet and convert one of the most isolated hunter-and-gatherer tribes in the world offered them fish and other small gifts before the tribesmen killed him and buried his body on the beach, journals and emails show.

John Allen Chau, 26, of Vancouver Washington, an Instagram adventurer who also led missionary trips abroad, traveled to the Andaman Islands - an Indian territory in the Bay of Bengal - this month to make contact with members of the tiny Sentinelese tribe, police said. The tribe, who have remained alone for centuries, reject contact with the wider world and react with hostility and violence to attempts by outsiders to interact with them. The island is off-limits to visitors under Indian law.

Chau's riveting journal of his last days, shared with The Post by his mother, shows a treacherous journey by dark in a small fishing boat to the area where the small tribe lived in huts. The men - about 5 feet-5 inches tall with yellow paste on their faces, Chau wrote - acted angrily to his presence as he tried to attempt to speak their language and sing "worship songs" to them, he wrote.

"I hollered, 'My name is John, I love you and Jesus loves you,' " he wrote in his journal. One of the juveniles shot at him with an arrow, which pierced his waterproof Bible, he wrote.

"You guys might think I'm crazy in all this but I think it's worthwhile to declare Jesus to these people," he wrote in a last note to his family on Nov. 16, shortly before he left the safety of the fishing boat to meet the tribesmen on the island. "God, I don't want to die," he wrote.

Fishermen saw the tribe burying his body on the beach the following day, a fellow missionary wrote in an email to his mother, Lynda Adams-Chau of Vancouver, Washington.

What is a Soul?

It cannot be seen or measured and there are no scientific instruments that can observe it. So how do we know we have a soul? Well we’ve been told so, that’s how. But is there anything about the soul that we can work out for ourselves?

Well a soul can’t be the same thing as consciousness because our consciousness can undergo changes that a soul cannot; or at least I presume it cannot. Is a soul susceptible to dementia, or the same kind of changes that the consciousness might face after a brain injury? If so, it seems a depressing thought that the soul could spend eternity in that state. Although I can’t say it with certainty, I’m going to conclude that the soul is not the same thing as consciousness.

Is it safe to assume that consciousness ceases to be after death? Consciousness certainly seems to be very dependent on brain function so it probably is safe to assume that it vanishes when the brain stops functioning. Consciousness, then, must be purely a mortal phenomenon, while the soul, it is said, is immortal. We can now then say that only the soul is subject to anything that might happen after physical death, and that consciousness will not be involved.

But what is the connection between consciousness and soul? Well we know that the soul will be held responsible for the choices we consciously make so our soul must be constantly influencing us, even though we don’t seem to have any insight into its process of doing so. It would seem as though we are merely vehicles being driven by our souls.

When I think about what the entity me actually is, obviously my physical body plays a part in my concept of self identity, but primarily I am thinking of my attitudes and opinions, my likes and dislikes, my emotions and what gives rise them, my memories; my personality and character. Are all these things mirrored in my soul? If so, I can’t imagine what the reason for this duplication might be. In the light of the conclusions I have already come to, I can’t seem to avoid the further conclusion that my soul and I are two separate entities that have an intimate coexistence but will, at some point, go our separate ways. This controlling thing I call the soul may well be accountable for its actions once we have parted company, but, during our coexistence, it seems to consider itself completely unanswerable to me.

While I might not have fully answered the original question, ‘what is a soul’, I have come up with perhaps a more pertinent question; why should I give a toss what happens to it after it has left its mortal coil?

speaking of God...and what about forgiveness

I had a friend a few years back that told me he was seeing this woman. This woman was a Christian and cheated on her husband countless times, eventually divorced, she lied, she stole, she dated men after men after men, cheating on countless boyfriends. My friend asked her, aren't you a Christian? What do you think God will think of this? Her reply was, the Bible says he will forgive me.

Another Crusade To The Holy Land?

If CS was a geographical region and not a site in the cyber world then surely it would have been the Holy Land of the Internet.doh

We have been invaded by wave upon wave of crusaders waving the banners of their religion; some not even understanding the religion that they promote well enough to answer simple questions regarding the specific religion. I wonder if the Pope approved and blessed this crusade? I have lost count of the exact number.frustrated

Talking about the pope, what happened to our own pope? I have not seen him since my return.sigh

But these are not the Templar, Hospitaller or Teutonic knights of old who tried to make the Holy Land accessible to all. These crusaders try to promote their own religions as being superior to the rest while other have a (not so well) hidden agendas to promote their warped racial or political views, thus using religion as a vehicle to spread their own views.help

Methinks they all wanted to be preachers or politicians (same thing) but probably failed the test and now seek different stages for their plays.dunno

It reminds me of an old man that used to stand on the corner with a bible, a portable amplifier, and a guitar. He never had much of an audience as most people just walked on and the surrounding residents found him a nuisance.dancing

I understand that they have a mission to spread the news about their God, and don't complain about that but why bombard us with their own views and agendas.

There is a time and a place for every thing and a dating site does not strike me as a pulpit. I’m sure there are thousands of religious sites where this sort of writings will be more than welcome.hmmm

I seldom read blogs with a religious content and lately that leaves me with very little to read and causes me to yearn back to some other nasty or weird characters who have disappeared over the last year. At least I used to read their blogs.giggle
