Judas Iscariot and Free Will

During the recent Easter season, there was a focus on the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.
According to the Biblical account, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot.
Jesus, who is also God, (being part of the Godhead or Trinity), knew beforehand that Judas would betray him.
God is said to be infallible, that is, he can never be wrong or mistaken.

To have free will, one must be free to do how one chooses.
Judas was not free to avoid betraying Jesus. If he did not betray Jesus, then it would mean that God was mistaken.
But God is infallible and can never be mistaken.
Therefore, in the context of God's infallibility, Judas did not have free will in the matter.

What do you think?

(I look forward to any relevant comments, criticisms, etc.)

Kill all Indonesian muslims

What an idiot you are.

I'm the one who's laughing.

Why would I make the suggestion of killing you all, when your muslim story says you're already killing each other.

You should have read the whole context of the post before you present your moronic opinion.

My thread reads like this: why Shias and Sunnis are killing each other.

who will be in the left side of Jesus and who in the right side?

Those christians who seems to believe in Jesus but disobey his commandments, will be in the left side,
And Jesus will say to them: i don,t know you, depart from Me!And they will be so disappointed,
they are the wolves in sheep clothings!
But those who obey commandments of God,they will be in the right side of Jesus and Jesus will love them.
So there are two greatest commandments to obey:1.Love God with all heart, with all mind ,with all spirit,
and with all strength.2.Love your neighbours as yourself.neighbours are people you see daily.
And then are ten commandments in exodus 20:2-17.
So those who obey commandments will be saved.
Those christians who don,t obey the commandments, they seem to believe in Jesus, but is false their believes without obeying commandments.
They are the false prophets who do against truth of God and against men, they let people not to go in heaven with their teachings that says to not obey the law and commandments!
So wake up and don,t be misleaded and deceived from their teachings!
nice day.

Atheists are the most generous

Atheists are the most generous—even without heavenly reward!

Who gives the most to charitable causes? Those who believe in gods or those who don’t?

“Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven…” (Mark 10:21)

“Any charity you give is for your own good. Any charity you give shall be for the sake of GOD. Any charity you give will be repaid to you…” (Koran 2:272)

Charitable behavior gets big perks in the afterlife, according to Christian and Islamic theology. Philanthropy, in these creeds, is a highly profitable long-term investment, a down payment on ecstatic immortality. Quite the bargain!

But atheists? No heaven awaits them. No pearly gates, eager virgins, harping angels, fluffy clouds, or succulent oasis. No reward whatsoever. Atheists have no faith, no expectation of benefit from a deity. So, atheists are probably selfish, right? Pitiless, parsimonious. Totally stingy misers, not passing a penny off to the poor…correct?

WRONG! Atheists, non-believers, secular humanists, skeptics—the whole gamut of the godless have emerged in recent years as inarguably the most generous benefactors on the globe. That’s right. Hordes of heretics are the world’s biggest damned philanthropists. Both individually and in groups, heathen infidels are topping the fundraising charts.

First, the facts.

The current most charitable individuals in the United States, based on “Estimated Lifetime Giving,” are:

1) Warren Buffett (atheist, donated $40.785 billion to “health, education, humanitarian causes”)

2) Bill & Melinda Gates (atheists, donated $27.602 billion to “global health and development, education”)

3) George Soros (atheist, donated $6.936 billion to “open and democratic societies”)

A century ago, one of the USA’s leading philanthropists was Andrew Carnegie, atheist.

to kill is against human law is it not?

Then why on earth do we allow religion in our realms that incite to murder us all?

Now you'd say they're only fanatics yet we see hundreds if not thousands of them trained to do just that.

Again I'm not here to say that all muslims are killers not at all.

I do know for a fact that there are good ones yet out of 1.3 billion and 3 percent of them visibly out to carry that provision, what guarantee do I have that this number doesn't get to a point where all of them will wake up and become a true follower and do as incited and ordered?

Note : San Bernardino is an example of those that have underestimated such notion.

STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BIBLE;or,all things religious

A venue for discussing all things religious. The intent of this discussion group is to explore all things religious.I am a non-denominational Christian who believes in the inspired Word of God,The Holy Scripture. My reference Bible is the King James Bible, which,in spite of its flavorful Olde English wording,I believe is STILL the most accurate translation to date.I know there are those who would disagree with me but for the sake of argument lets say that whatever Bible you are comfortable with,if you truly are a committed Christian searching for the Truth I believe God will reveal to you what you are ready to learn! Since this is a religious blog I would have to ask all of you to please observe decorum in language and references at all times please. I welcome any and all commentary whether one is a muslim ,agnostic,athiest,non-beleiver,Minister etc..... I don't for one second proclaim to know everything and if someone has a more factual take than I and can prove it through the pages of Holy Writ then by all means......prove me wrong, this blog isn't about me or my views so much as it is an effort to spread the message of God's love for us all and His SINCERE desire that we ALL escape the fate worse than death...…. THE FLAMES OF HELL!

Put God First

If you have a woman or a son or daughter you can not put them above God. If you do you are guilty of idolatry. In our society it is noble to be a selfless man who does everything for his loved ones and puts himself second. Take a step back and think about what is correct. God must be put first. If you are doing something that shows you do not trust God or that you approve of someone who is going against God you are headed for possible damnation. Look at what happened to Job. If everything and everyone is taken away from you what will you have left? Answer your relationship with God. If you put people or things above God you are not worthy of the kingdom of heaven It seems many are afraid of suffering. It is better to be faithful to God and suffer than to be a self pitying victim.! With Jesus you can get through anything and have a peace which transcends all understanding !

Submit Yourself to God - Final

He wants us to be His friends, who do His will not just because we have to, but because we want to, because we love Him. In fact, He not only wants us to be His friends, but His beloved, His Bride. “That we should be married to Him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.”10

He wants a Bride who can bear everlasting children for the eternal kingdom of God. “For herein is My Father glorified,” Jesus said, “that ye bear much fruit.”11

Give God a chance

The Lord knows that the more yielded and obedient we are to Him, the more He can then use us, and the happier we will be and the greater blessing we’ll be to others. He’s more willing to use, empower, anoint, and pour His blessings out upon us than we are to receive them.

The whole experience of our existence in this life is like a schooling to teach us what we need to know about the Lord and salvation and about service to the Lord and others, submission and obedience to Him and keeping His loving rules and His Law of Love. The Lord “loves a cheerful giver,”12 and He never forces anyone to do His will. In fact, if we won’t do His will for love, because we love Jesus, He’d just as soon get somebody else who will. He wants volunteers who freely and willingly submit to Him and His slightest bidding.

It reminds me of what an unknown Sunday school teacher said to a lowly teenage shoe salesman that he had led to the Lord in Boston. He said, “Dwight L. Moody, there is no limit to what God can do with a man who is yielded and willing to do His will.” Moody looked him in the eye and replied, “By the grace of God, I am determined to be that man.” And he was!

A short while later he moved to Chicago, where he began preaching the Gospel and witnessing to others, and was soon so thrilled to be able to lead other folks to Jesus that he quit the shoe business and began serving the Lord full-time. He went on to become one of the world’s greatest evangelists, with tens of thousands of eternal souls won as a result.

What a sad loss it would have been not only to him, but to the millions who heard the gospel through his ministry, if Moody hadn’t determined to commit his will to the Lord. “But,” you may argue, “I could never do anything great for the Lord like Moody did. I’m no flaming evangelist or outstanding soul winner.”

Neither was Moody to begin with. He was just a poor farm boy and a below-average student who became bored with life on the farm and moved to the big city. After several weeks in the city, he set a new goal for himself—to become a big businessman and to make $100,000. Giving his life to God’s service was the last thing on his mind.

In fact, when Moody was first saved, he was so completely ignorant of God’s Word and truth that when he went before a church committee to see if they would accept him, he was refused membership. His Sunday school teacher later wrote of him: “I can truly say (and in saying it I magnify the infinite grace of God as bestowed upon Mr. Moody), that I have seen few persons whose minds were spiritually darker when he came into my Sunday school class, or one who seemed more unlikely ever to become a Christian of clear, decided views of Gospel truth, still less to fill any sphere of extended public usefulness.”

So present your life on His altar today, ask Him to take and use you for His glory, and He will—as much as you will let Him. You are His child, and He loves you and will always do His best for you to make you useful and happy in His loving service for others, so that you may bring them the same life and happiness that you have found in Jesus. He never fails!

Three-in-One Relationship - Final

Embedded image from another site

"You heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I,'" (John 14:28 Heb. 2:9).

Phil. 2:5-8, it says that Jesus "emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men . . ." (See also Gal. 4:4-5)

But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. Revelations 10:7 KJB

The relationship of the Son to the Father is always as Son. The Father is not begotten by the Son, and He does not proceed from the Holy Spirit. Rather, the Son is begotten of the Father, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son. The relationship of the Son to the Father is such that the Father directs and the Son obeys and is responsive to the will of the Father. The Holy Spirit responds to the directives of both the Father and the Son. They all are exactly the same in being, essence and nature; they are all fully and completely God, but they are different in relationship and in their roles.

In the way of analogy, this could be looked at as two football players who are a) both human and b) both football players on the same team but who play different positions. They are both human, so they have the same essence; they are both equally human. On the team, though, one may be the quarterback who calls the plays, and the other has a different position and thus a different job on the team. His position on the team means that he obeys the plays the quarterback determines. He obeys the quarterback because the position he holds requires him to follow the quarterback’s instructions, but in essence there is no subordination. This is similar to the Trinity; it’s like a team, and they each have their roles to play, but they are all equally God in essence.

The begetting of the Son and the proceeding of the Holy Spirit happen in eternity. There was never a time when the Son wasn’t begotten, nor that the Spirit didn’t proceed. The Father would not have been eternally Father without the eternal Son. This generation of God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit proceeding from the Father and the Son, is not something we can fully comprehend. It is part of the mystery of the Trinity, something beyond our full comprehension, considering that we are material creatures living in time and space, and God is the eternal Creator who is the source of everything. While we can understand the concept, the mechanics of it are a mystery.—Peter Amsterdam

Three-in-one redemption

Who was God loving before He created the world? Who was God speaking to before He created the world? If love is the heart of existence, and God is love, it is within the Trinity itself that we hunger for relationship. You hunger for relationship, I hunger for relationship, and existentially it is revealed in the Trinity itself where the Father loves the Son, where the Father and Son send the Holy Spirit. There must be relationship in the First Cause in order to explain it in the effect.—If God or Allah is a monad, there is no foundation for relationship, no community in the First Cause. For God to have no lack in relationship, to have no lack of love or the expression of it, He must exist, from eternity, as a being in community. Is it one and three? No. It is one in one sense, three in another—it’s not a mathematical issue, it is the very nature of being, unity and diversity in the community of the Trinity. There is both majesty and mystery.—Ravi Zacharias
