MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGEMENT

Message from the management

Dear employee,

At the General Management Meeting the following has been decided:

1. Clothing:

The clothes you go to your workplace with must be adapted to your salary:

When you walk around with Prada footwear and Gucci clothing, we will that you earn more than enough and therefore do not need a salary increase. When you are poorly dressed, you need to learn how to handle your money better, so that you can afford better clothes. We can not therefore allow you to increase your salary in this case.

When you wear Jan Modaal's average brand clothing, you are in the middle class and you are fine. You therefore do not have to pay a salary increase.
2. Family days and allowed absence:

Every employee is entitled to 104 days a year from now on. They are also sometimes called "Saturday" and "Sunday".

3. Lunch break:

Skinny people are entitled to 30 minutes, because they have to eat more to look healthy.

People with a normal weight are entitled to 15 minutes to eat a balanced meal and thus stay on their weight.

People who are overweight are entitled to 5 minutes, they do not need more time to drink a bottle of "Slim Fast" and take a diet pill.

4. Sick leave: Doctor's notes are no longer accepted. If you can go to the doctor you can also go to work.

5. Use of the sanitary facilities:

Too much time is spent on the toilets. That is why a time limit of 3 minutes has now been introduced. After 3 minutes an alarm siren will be opened, the toilet paper will be locked, the door will be opened and a picture will be taken.

After 2 offenses your photo will be posted on the Information Board under the category: "Chronic Offender of the Work Regulations"

6. Medical interventions: As long as you work here, you need all your organs. Do not even think about removing one or the other. We have assumed you intact, so any subsequent operation will be considered a form of breach of contract.

We thank you in advance for your loyalty to the company.

It is our intention to conduct a positive labor policy.

May we therefore ask you to address all your questions, comments, concerns, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggressions and accusations to someone else than to us. With kind regards,

The management.cheers

You have to find yourself very important if you think others are waiting for it.

But what do I have to do with a picture of someone's roll or the message that they have missed the bus? .............You have to find yourself very important if you think others are waiting for it.cheers laugh

Tis the season for phishing...

I rarely answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, however I did put out a few bids and customers have called to discuss prices. I'm also working on a large renovation and the contractor has me in touch with some of the trades as I need specific placement of walls, plumbing and electrical.
A call came through and I answered without saying anything. The guy on the other end spoke first and knew my name. He started into a sales pitch for some computer service. I stopped him cold and told him to remove my number from his list.
Hanging up, I placed his number on my blocked number list.

I've been using the same phone for a few years and plan to upgrade sometime next year. Normally, I clone all my contacts and data from the old phone to the replacement phone. Having repeated the same procedure for at least 5 phones. I'm curious now if the new phone will receive the blocked list in the transfer. I've never seen a blocked caller list to verify who's on it.

Last night, I received a text message from an unknown number stating my Citibank account has been put on hold due to recent activity and to restore the account, visit the link provided to verify.
Thanks but no thanks. That's a 100% phishing scam in an attempt to get my banking information. The beauty is I don't have a Citibank account.

If I did, I would call my bank to verify and not click the link in the text message.
I reverse Googled the number but it turned up nothing. There's a good chance it was spoofed and not really assigned by a phone carrier.

Be safe, tis the season as scammers are in high-gear.

Human Rights

Coming from Ireland, I have to say that from a human rights point of view I am very proud of how we recently passed the legislation on the allowing of gay marriage,

The Vatican's reaction was the Popes right hand man
Cardinal Pietro Parolin stating that this was
"a defeat for humanity"

on the other hand
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin of Dublin Ireland said
"It is very clear that if this referendum is an affirmation of the views of young people … [then the church needs] a reality check."

This leaves me very unresolved on where the Catholic church stands on the issue.

Are other church leaders as well as catholic ones divided on the issue. ?

Slippers... they're not just for the bedroom anymore!

...or are they?
I have some clients who won't let people in their house wearing street shoes. That's difficult for my servicemen as OSHA requires workers to wear steel toe safety shoes. To get around this, we all carry disposable booties to cover our shoes. One customer wouldn't allow me in their house with booties... everyone left their shoes by the door and walked around barefoot. I did it once and won't do it again.

House shoes or as they were called (when I was young) bedroom slippers, are only for the house, but some people no longer have rules like that... people on the street are wearing house shoes and a small percentage wear pajamas in public too!

I have no explanation for this behavior!

With 4 kids home watching TV, this woman doesn't have time to change into street clothes!

Poetry

I was reading ‘Do not go gentle into that good night’ by Dylan Thomas. It’s a poem about an old man who seems to have had his electricity cut off, and his son is imploring him to do something about it. To pay his bill, presumably. I prefer poetry that talks about the small, everyday matters of life; I find the more lofty themes tend to go over my head. I am a late comer to poetry -over 60 years late. For me, the purpose of poetry is not to teach us things we don’t know, but rather to bring more into our consciousness things we already know but haven’t paid enough attention to. Things like the importance of paying our bills on time.

Gold wedding band...

Weekends, mean the guys meeting at the model aircraft flying field. The weather was windy and rain approaching, so we broke and went for lunch. While we were, there it poured down rain and an hour later the sun started coming out. Everyone went their way and I returned to the field. Not long after, one of the other guys shows back up... not to fly. He came looking for his wedding ring. He put it in his pocket when he flew as it clacks against the controller.
Now, it's gone. So we did a search of his path to and from his car, but no luck.
I was ready to suggest he check back at the restaurant. He calls and they have his missing ring at the front reception. Awesome!

He was worried should someone find it they would keep or put it online to sell...
My superstition is keeping a wedding ring (even if you found it) would bring bad luck.
Get it back to the original owner...

Today’s fake feminism movement

In my opinion God has created men superior than women in every aspects, men’s vision are more broader than women, if we talk about past two centuries regarding women rights so they were somehow genuine if we compare today’s feminism movement which is totally fake based on the agenda of insulting of men only ,women who think that they are superior to men they are making them selves foolish because they are not mentally or emotionally strong than men ,first of all men and women bodies are different so how they could be equal?? I have seen many men are also victims of violence of women too but I’m surprised that why there is not “men too movement like me too movement “? Obviously new directions are giving to society which will lead to destruction only

The last villager

At the beginning of 1943 the Derbyshire village of Derwent stood abandoned by all but one remaining inhabitant. By the autumn of that year the village would be demolished, and waiting to be swallowed up by the rising waters that would inevitably follow the completion of the new dam, further down the valley.

Dalkin Barleythwaite had lived all of his seventy-three years in Derwent village, and he had no intention of living out his remaining time anywhere else. He stubbornly refused to be moved. One crisp, March morning, Dalkin was spotted by a fellow villager, striding out across the moor with his spaniel, Raif. The next time Dalkin was seen, he was lying lifeless at the foot of the steep crag that bounds one side of the natural rocky feature known as Alport Castles, a couple of miles North West of the village. One hundred feet above him, on the edge of the crag, a forlorn dog broke the morning stillness with echoing howls of anguish. The coroner’s verdict was “accidental death”, but Dalkin had been wandering that landscape since he could first walk, and no one who knew him believed for a moment that he went over the edge of those rocks by accident.

Ladybower reservoir has since become a very popular tourist destination, and, in the summer, the area is alive with walkers, cyclists and picnickers. Most visitors are unaware of the story of the village’s last occupant, but he is a familiar character to some of the keener enthusiasts for the outdoors. The hills and dales surrounding the Derwent valley can be bleak and inhospitable in winter, and only the more dedicated hiker is to be seen there during that part of the year. Those who do venture out onto that harsh landscape on a frosty morning, when a thin mist hangs over the valley and an eerie silence haunts the air, are apt to become aware of an extra presence among their number.

John Lampfoot, from the nearby village of Bamford, knows the area like the back of his hand; he also seems to have a sixth sense. He has an uncanny knack of knowing just where and when Dalkin will appear. From mid-December to the end of March, John takes small groups of walkers up onto the moor, where they will follow the path that Dolkin took on his last journey to Alport Castles. At some point along the way, John signals the travelers to stop, and there they will stand and wait. How he knows where to stop is a mystery even to John, but he is never wrong. The wait can be long or short, but, in time, a mist will start to form close to the ground and slowly rise upwards, then out of it will trudge Dalkin, looking purposeful and grim. On John’s signal the party will resume their trek, alongside their extra member. They carry on right up to the crag; coming to a stop just a few feet from the edge; except for Dalkin, of course.
