I've been doing some thinking over the last few days. I've been thinking about some
of the people that have wandered into and out of my life over the years.
And I've been thinking about some of the ones who have entered my life and have
not had the good sense yet to depart.
Some of the ones who have moved on I sincerely miss and would love to have them
back in my life.
But, here's the rub; Almost eyerybody that I know has a different perception of
themselves, so the ones that I don't want, will think they are the ones that I want, and
the ones that I want to keep will get angry and think that I want them gone, and the ones
that really annoy me will think that everything is just peachy fine and want to spend
more time with me......
How the hell do you win?

Feminism is a range of social movements, political movements, and ideologies that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the sexes. Feminism incorporates the position that societies prioritize the male point of view, and that women are treated unfairly within those societies. Efforts to change that include fighting gender stereotypes and seeking to establish educational and professional opportunities for women that are equal to those for men.




Throughout most of Western history, women were confined to the domestic sphere, while public life was reserved for men. In medieval Europe, women were denied the right to own property, to study, or to participate in public life. At the end of the 19th century in France, they were still compelled to cover their heads in public, and, in parts of Germany, a husband still had the right to sell his wife. Even as late as the early 20th century, women could neither vote nor hold elective office in Europe and in most of the United States (where several territories and states granted women’s suffrage long before the federal government did so). Women were prevented from conducting business without a male representative, be it father, brother, husband, legal agent, or even son. Married women could not exercise control over their own children without the permission of their husbands. Moreover, women had little or no access to education and were barred from most professions. In some parts of the world, such restrictions on women continue today.




Why do so many hate the term feminism and the feminist movement?
I believe there are five critical reasons behind this:

1. Feminism has been associated with strong, forceful and angry women, and our society continues to punishes forceful women. (So much recent data and research has proved this.)

2. Many people fear that feminism will mean that men will eventually lose out – of power, influence, impact, authority, and control, and economic opportunities.

3. Many people believe that feminists want to control the world and put men down.

4. Many people fear that feminism will overturn time-honored traditions, religious beliefs and established gender roles, and that feels scary and wrong.

5. Many people fear that feminism will bring about negative shifts in relationships, marriage, society, culture, power and authority dynamics, and in business, job and economic opportunities if and when women are on an equal footing with men.

How do you deal with people who simply talk too much?

Someone cuts you off in traffic, road rage incident follows with knives. Bullied in school, bring the artillery to school and kill a dozen kids and teachers. Travelling the seas in an old inexpensive sailboat, and too close to certain coasts, pirates kill you and your crew/family for a few shekels. The law arrives at a domestic call, and are killed in an ambush. Gang members angry at brave girl who reports them to school administration, and is beaten to death with baseball bats. Soon to arrive, ---court officials, town council members, many lawyers, and mental health professionals,--- will get the same attention. This last situation has already happened, where 3 lady therapists were allegedly just killed by a disgruntled Army vet. Many of these types have pissed off people from time immemorial. But now they are being killed in rage full acting out. What explains this? Probably many factors of modern life. Aa-V.

I don't see the point why you would share every step you do. I prefer to keep my privacy. It is crazy how addicted some people nowdays are. Families or friends would go out for dinner together and not even talk one sentence to each other but watch like monkeys on their phone screen

Yeah! Finally!!

For the last few months, I had been trying to get a very good friend of mine to join CS but to no avail.

Registered her numerous times, got rejected and I felt dejected! Yup, you read correctly, it's ME, yours truly, who feel dejected and not her because I oh so want her to be with me here on this site.

We have been friends since I was 13 and she was 14. High-school friends, spent a lot of time together and partners-in-crime too!

We always had each other's back throughout the years...

Once, we were late for an important English exam in another school and she got both us there in no time. That would not be consider a feat at all if not for the fact that it only took her 15 mins to reach the school when a normal driving would have taken half an hour!! The best part was......she hadn't even got her valid driving license yet that time!!

Apart from being one of the best female drivers I've ever known, she's also one of the most generous people have I the fortune to call my very good friend. Always there for her friends, always willing to lend a helping hand, an excellent mom, daughter, grand-daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt...etc..etc...etc..

So, ladies and gentlemen....may I present to you my fellow Malaysian Chinese friend, Jenny or as she was known as during our high-school days, Hui Ling


P.S Can't wait for her to meet someone great here on this site. Want her to join us on the blogs too ( she'd have to wait for at least 7 days before she could ). Challenged her to beat my high scores in some of the games here!

To you my dear friend, Hui Ling, I wish you all the luck in this world in finding that special someone. Someone who will treat you like how you deserved to be treated, like a Princess.. Someone who would love you and your 3 kids as well. It will take a very very special guy to win your heart and he would be the luckiest guy in the world

A couple of blogs ago, Kal brought up the issue of Muslim hating. This is a really big deal right now. And of course the Muslim world hates America and Americans in general.

Well, I'm sorry to disagree, but nobody hates anybody, in either direction. Yes, many people are very emotional and vocal lately, and some folks have even become violent and murderous. But it is a very tiny sliver of the populations on both sides.

The real problem is the few that have something to gain from all this chaos.

Whenever there is a large scale problem that needs to be resolved, I always look to where the money is flowing and who is standing to gain power or position.

It's not only the active characters that you have to watch, who are making money on selling arms, supplies, protection, and what have you, but also the people reporting and writing about it all. They are far from innocent by standers.

The media needs war and violence. The worse it gets, the more people tune in. The bigger the audience, the higher the price charged for commercial air time. The higher the profits for the media outlet, the higher the pay check for the news people.

Do you see the connection?

The average Joe does not care who you worship. The average Joe does not care what you wear or what you eat.

Most of the problems of our modern society are manufactured. Look beyond the headlines, and follow the money.

Maybe we will find something to hate after all.
