Twitch Suspends Trump’s Account For Violating ‘Hateful Conduct’ Rules
The Amazon-owned livestreaming platform said two recent streams on the president’s channel prompted the suspension.
Twitch, the livestreaming platform popular with gamers, has suspended President Donald Trump’s channel for violating its rules on “hateful conduct,” making it the latest social media platform to move against him.
The Amazon-owned site said Monday that two recent streams violated those policies. The first was a recent rebroadcast of Trump’s 2015 campaign kickoff speech, during which he suggested Mexican immigrants were criminals and rapists. The other offending stream was from Trump’s June 20 campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, when he spoke of a “very tough hombre” breaking into the home of a “young woman whose husband is away.”
“Hateful conduct is not allowed on Twitch,” a Twitch spokesperson said in a statement to HuffPost. “In line with our policies, President Trump’s channel has been issued a temporary suspension from Twitch for comments made on stream, and the offending content has been removed.”
Twitch’s community guidelines define hateful conduct as “any content or activity that promotes, encourages, or facilitates discrimination, denigration, objectification, harassment, or violence based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, s*xual orientation, age, disability or serious medical condition or veteran status,” and any such conduct is considered a “zero-tolerance violation.”
The move comes after the site pledged last week to increase its efforts to combat harassment and hate on the service after facing an outpouring of s*xual assault and abuse allegations involving Twitch streamers. The decision to suspend Trump’s account comes amid recent moves from other tech companies to take action against the president’s rhetoric online. Since last month, Twitter has started labeling his tweets with warnings when they violate its rules, and on Monday, Reddit banned a popular pro-Trump subreddit as part of its crackdown on hate speech.
Hopefully the hate on here by Trump's supporters will also be more closely modulated. It's time for change to a society, more accepting of cultural differences & ethnicities, and less accepting of hate, trolling & racial discrimination.

The best blog of the week... disappeared. I checked in Friday to see a blog (with video) about the residents of Palm Beach County in Florida appearing before the city council hearing to express (protest) their views ahead of the meeting to determine if masks will be required in public places. When I returned Friday night, the blog was gone.
Despite having their say, the measure was approved. Masks in public are mandatory.
The numbers of new COVID-19 infections are on the rise, especially in south Florida.
I had a conversation this morning with someone who claimed it was due to the additional testing. He blames the testing. My comment was testing didn't create the new cases, it only gave proof to those who already had symptoms. The serious part of this pandemic are the people who are asymptomatic and unknowingly carry the virus to others.
Here's (a short video clip) what some of the people have to say:
Black Brown White
All are Equal
The only difference is Character
Ego Discrimination.
If one suppress other he must retaliate.
Stay Safe and Blessed.
It seem like an ironic joke - climate changes because of our pollution, would wipe out life on earth, if we did not do some drastic changes. And from out of the blue, we are doing more drastic changes then we could ever have imagined, only weeks and months ago. The world will never be the same place again. Emissions are dropping because of this unprecedented lock-down. Out global traveling will be down for years, most likely. The birth of a new kingdom, Funny words to say, but Corona is Latin for crown, which is an emblem of a kingdom. So, how will this 'new' kingdom or this new world, look like ?
Social distancing, but as well closer ties to family. Less long travels, but perhaps more exploring of our close neighborhood. Food security may be more important, and perhaps there will be a boost in local farming, which will need more people. Closed down borders, so we may be more dependent on local resources and craftsmanship. The economy may force people to invest more locally.
Now, let me hear what you think may develop.....

N.Y. Bans Chokeholds and Approves Other Measures to Restrict Police
The state became one of the first to make major changes in police practices in the wake of George Floyd’s killing, which has spurred nationwide protests.
June 12, 2020 Updated 10:35 p.m. ET
New York on Friday became one of the first states to take meaningful action to restrict police forces after the killing of George Floyd, banning the use of chokeholds by law enforcement and repealing a half-century-old law that has kept police disciplinary records secret in the state.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signed the expansive package of bills less than three weeks after Mr. Floyd’s death at the hands of the police in Minneapolis, which has since sparked widespread civil unrest and demonstrations against police brutality and racism.
New York City also took tentative steps toward meeting protesters’ calls to “defund the police.” On Friday, the City Council speaker, Corey Johnson, said the Council had identified $1 billion in cuts to the Police Department’s $6 billion budget, and would urge Mayor Bill de Blasio to agree in advance of the July 1 budget deadline.
Mr. de Blasio quickly rejected the proposal, while indicating that he was open to further negotiations over the size of the Police Department. “The mayor has said we’re committed to reprioritizing funding and looking for savings, but he does not believe a $1 billion cut is the way to maintain safety,” said Freddi Goldstein, Mr. de Blasio’s press secretary.
A similar reckoning is occurring across the nation, as lawmakers are weighing various changes to police tactics that may have exacerbated racial disparities in law enforcement. In California, Gov. Gavin Newsom called for an immediate end to the use of “strangleholds” last week, saying such use of force had “no place any longer in 21st century practices and policing.”
In Washington, where authorities used tear gas and rubber bullets to clear peaceful protesters from Lafayette Park for President Trump to stage a photo op at St. John’s Church, the District of Columbia’s Council unanimously passed a sweeping series of changes earlier this week, including prohibiting the use of chemical irritants, riot gear and stun grenades on demonstrators exercising their First Amendment rights.
A few hours after Mr. Cuomo signed the bills in New York, Gov. Kim Reynolds of Iowa signed a similar measure into law on Friday. The bill, passed unanimously by the Iowa Legislature the night before, also included a ban on most police chokeholds and empowered the state attorney general to investigate police misconduct.
And in Minneapolis, where Mr. Floyd was killed on May 25, the City Council voted on Friday to seek “a transformative new model for cultivating safety in our city” just days after vowing to dismantle the city’s police department. But even there, change would take time — months if not more, and not before a citywide vote and rounds of bureaucratic wrangling.
The obstacles to the kind of sweeping and immediate changes made in New York could also be seen in Minnesota’s State Capitol, where an ambitious package of police reforms proposed by Democrats faced an uncertain future.
Republicans who control one legislative chamber said they would oppose some of the most far-reaching changes, including restoring voting rights to felons or putting the state’s attorney general, rather than local prosecutors, in charge of investigating killings by the police.
The clash over how much change lawmakers are willing to accept in a state that has become ground zero of a new movement to address racism and police brutality shows how difficult it may be to bring real changes across a patchwork of state governments and in a divided Washington.

It’s probably my own fault that I don’t know the reason why. If I could be bothered to actually read the entirety of the blogs it might possibly give me some insight into the motivation behind them. The blogs I refer to are those posted by that group of bloggers who have become collectively known as the lying bastards. Unfortunately, and I wish it were otherwise, they seem to have only become known as that by me.
Anyway, back to the why. So why do the lying bastards want as many people as possible to believe the lies that they, the bastards, are going to great lengths to propagate? While my current obsession is with the lying itself -I hate lying- I also have some curiosity about the reason for it. It isn’t burning curiosity, but, nevertheless, even mild curiosity can cause an annoying itch. So here are a few whys:
Why are the sycophantic Trumpsters so intent on discrediting Obama and Clinton? They are gone, aren’t they? They may still have a voice, but are they still influential enough to pose a threat to the Orange buffoon? I don’t know, but I wouldn’t have thought their influence significant enough to warrant all the effort being put into blackening their names.
5G. Now who’s interests are really being threatened by 5G? The interests of all of us, apparently. The motivation behind the campaign to derail 5G is concern for public health. Bollocks; anyone who believes that will believe anything.
Bill Gates. The man is instrumental in channelling millions of dollars into philanthropic projects in deprived areas of the World, yet there are dark forces determined to have us believe that he is the personification of evil. Why, for God’s sake!
The covid restrictions: Governments all around the World are imposing rules and restrictions in response to the virus crisis. The explanations for doing so seem perfectly sensible and logical, yet people are screaming out about their freedom being taken away. This is all temporary, things will go back to normal. Who is fuelling this fire? The capitalists perhaps, who are horrified at seeing their cash flows not flowing?
I’m not even going to bother with all the things the satanists are being blamed for, although it does upset me a little, this particular group of scapegoats being rather close to my heart.
I could go on, and I normally would, but my attention span is flagging for some reason. Perhaps I will add more things later as a means of bumping a blog suffering from disinterest back to the top of the page.

Iggy was hanging out in a tree on the canal by the warehouse. It was a sunny day and he was enjoying himself. Out of range for my camera to take a clear picture, but you get the idea. Not a pretty sight.
Later in the week he was on my side of the canal, much closer. Easily six feet long from tip to tail. When he saw me, he did the 'neck flash' routine as though to dare me to walk over.
No thanks Iggy, I know one strike from your tail could inflict some serious pain.
You go your way and I'll go mine!
