Getting on a plane with bedroom slippers...

I saw a video tonight with a woman throwing a temper tantrum at the airline ticket booth. That's one problem to itself. The other problem is she was wearing bedroom slippers.
I'll wager that airlines have listed what can and cannot be worn when attempting to board a plane and it wouldn't surprise me if wearing flip-flops, thin lace-up sandals or bedroom slippers makes it to that list. Passenger comfort is one thing, setting yourself up for failure is another.
The movable ramp that leads to the plane often has carpeted flooring and a good place to catch your shoe when there is a height difference from adjoining sections and I recall one woman had her sandal catch and break off as she boarded the plane. Her other shoes were in he luggage probably in the belly of the plane waiting to take off. Think ahead lady.

People don't consider panic and 'push-comes-to-shove' crowd situations. They are probably the ones who complain their freedoms are being taken away when that are forced to wear closed toe shoes. That's a cousin to wearers of tank-top shirt...

Biden - Harris Embody The Ideals Of Democratic Party Founder Andrew Jackson

"Mr. Biden reminded his audience of his slave-state heritage and hinted that Delaware's alliance with the North was merely an accident of geography. Delaware was a 'slave state that fought beside the North,' he said. 'That's only because we couldn't figure out how to get to the South. There were a couple of states in the way.'"

Earthquake

Disasters happen. We still have no way to eliminate earthquakes, wildfires, hurricanes, floods or droughts. We cope as best we can by fortifying ourselves against danger with building codes and levees, and by setting aside money to clean up afterwards.
Seth Shostak.

...We have multiplied our possessions but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We’ve learned how to make a living but not a life. We’ve added years to life, not life to years.” – George Carlin..

The Blue And The Gray: An Inspiration For Memorial Day --

Poem By Francis Miles Finch, Set To Music & Performed By Jim Remington

"The famous poem by Francis Miles Finch entitled The Blue and the Grey commemorates soldiers who fought for both sides during the Civil War. The Planters' Banner, a local newspaper of Franklin, LA, published this poem on September 14, 1867. William T. Palfrey included the memorial poem in his plantation diary. The poem contrasts the North and the South, the robings of glory (the North) and the gloom of defeat (the South), and the dead and the living. Images of death and the grave beneath the sod and the dew run throughout. The poem also paints the vivid, gory picture of warfare, describing the flow of inland river where the iron fleets had once traversed and the grass beneath which soldiers lie in their graves. The rivers are no longer sullied by the red flow of soldiers' blood, and now flowers bloom around the scenes of battle. The poem shows life after war: It transitions from the gloom of defeat into a sunny spring day full of blossoms blossoming for all. While the seasons change and the weather varies, the Love and tears for the Blue, Tears and love for the Grey remain.

"The poem memorializes the soldiers who fought and died for both sides; sentimental poems remember these fallen heroes. Yet, The Blue and the Grey challenges the pointlessness of the war itself, probing, Sadly, but not with upbraiding, The generous deed was done, In the storm of the years are fading, No braves battle was won. To Finch, little honor came from the Civil War, merely death for soldiers fighting for their causes. The poem paradoxically and simultaneously eulogizes and glorifies the Civil War in its pointless destruction and its grandiose battles. In memoriam of these soldiers of both the Union and Confederate armies, Finch paints a picture of common loss, equal splendor, and the remembrance of soldiers by visiting their graves."

The Scar

Once I witnessed this incident ... Which raised some questions in my mind...

I went to visit a lawyer for some official purpose some times ago...
While I was in the chamber talking with the lawyer , suddenly another man came ...

He was an elderly person... He looked really anxious and upset... Even though I was there talking to the lawyer , he did not even care ...

He came right away and asked the lawyer to help him...

Seems he knew the lawyer very well , most probably he was like a personal friend or something like that more than an ordinary client...

So the lawyer asked me to wait a little bit and went outside of the room to talk to that man... The man was very upset and so he did not even bothered that I was present there and was listening to them... Or may be he just did not care about me because of my age...

Anyway... The door of the room was open.. So I was able to here them... And that's how I came to know about all the matter...

The son of that elderly person got just married a few days ago... It was an arranged marriage ... Which means , the match was made by the family of the bride and groom...

Everything was perfectly fine... They checked about the bride and her character as well as family background etc... The groom and his family visited the bride and and her family personally... After a few meeting , both bride and groom and their family agreed for the marriage ...And they got married happily with a social ceremony ...

Everything was going all right...
After marriage reception newly wedded couple spent their 'First Night' together...
And then
BOOM !!!
Next morning the groom was very upset .. Why !! Cause he came to know that his mewly wedded wife has a 'deep Scar' on her body right under her neckline .. It was from an old accident.. The deep wound healed but left an ugly scar... As it was under the neckline , so it was easy to cover with cloths ..
That's why nobody from outside can not see the scar ... As well as the groom and his family never saw it before...

But now after seeing it , the newly wedd groom and his family just burst into anger and blamed the bride and her family as 'Cheater' because they never talked about this 'Scar' before and also been hiding it under the cloths all the time..

So now the father of the groom , that elderly person , came to his lawyer friend for asking legal guidance to file a 'Divorce' immediately based upon the ground of 'Cheating' as he claimed that the bride and her family 'Cheated' them by Hiding the facts about the Scar Intentionally and Deliberately ...

Now... From what I heard from the narration of that elderly person , it was clear , that , there was no other problem with the bride ... She looks just fine from outside as long as her scar is covered and there is no chance for other people to see the scar because it supposed to be under cover normally...
Except only during intimate times with her husband...
There was no other issues about the girl's character or personality or anything ...

Still only for that 'Scar' the groom and his family were determined and desperate to go for a 'Divorce' .....

So the question came to my mind ...
How much the physical appearance (specially when it comes to a Scar) can be important to our society for having a successful relationship or marriage !!???
Can just a 'Scar' be potential issue to Break a Marriage/Relationship ??

Note : I don't know the final outcome of that incident..
As the lawyer somehow managed that person to wait outside , while he attended me first... So I could not follow what really happened at last..
