Bill Cosby's new apartment...

On Tuesday, actor Bill Cosby had moved to a new apartment at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. He was found guilty of 3 counts of aggravated indecent assault and sentenced to 3-10 years in prison. Some say his stay will be a short one. Some say his sentence should have been greater.

I read a fellow inmate greeted Cosby with a stale hotdog bun to the face. Reading comments to the news story, I believe someone said 'bun today... hotdog tomorrow...'

Well Bill, payback is a bit*ch.

Free cable TV so you can catch up on reruns of The Cosby Show.

Hypothetical situation.

Hypothetical situation.

A man, lets say James and a woman lets say Carol are in a bar and enjoying each others company. They both get a little tiddly and end up leaving the bar together. We don't know what happens next but Carol claims James raped her. There are no witnesses and the police have to make a case. There is a trial and James is convicted of rape. He is given a 20 year sentence and begins serving.

James claims he is innocent. The charges against him are allegations and there is no proof of the crime ever being committed. James goes through the humiliation of the ordeal and knows he is not guilty.

James gets a lawyer and fights the charges that he is a sex offender and actually wins his argument.

James is set free. He is exonerated.

My question is this. Does Carol need to be imprisoned for falsely accusing James of a crime he didn't commit? Also how much time should she serve if she is found guilty?

My 2 Weeks Behind The Iron Curtain

It was about this time of the year in 1985 that I went to Poland. Poland was still behind the Iron Curtain.
I was picked up at the airport in Warsaw by my host family. We drove about 4 hours south to the town of Nysa. Along the way we got low on gas so we stopped at a station. We banged on the door and awakened the fellow working there. He told us come back in the morning. I flashed an American 10 dollar bill and he couldn't pump the gas fast enough. I stayed on a farm. When it was dinner time they grabbed a chicken, chopped his head off and plucked it then cooked it. Every meal had potatoes. Everyone bathed while dinner was being cooked because the hot water pipes were run through the stove. That was the only way to get hot water.

I toured the Auschwitz concentration camp. I was told that I would still smell the stench of death, but that was not the case. I was able to visit the barracks that the interred were living in. Several of the hallway walls were removed and replaced with plexiglass walls and was able to see inside. In one room there was a mountain of shoes, from the deceased. In another room, there was a mountain of eyeglasses. In another room there was a pile of false teeth. In another room there was a pile of prosthetic limbs. It was truly the most profound experience I have ever had in my life.
I was able to walk away from a place that thousands were not. My life changed.

Skinning Cats...

If I had a dollar for every time someone told me "There's more than one way to skin a cat" I'd be retired and living off the profits of my investments. Well, I'm not collecting dollars and it's true, although I've never skinned a cat, I'm sure there is more than one way to do it.

So, let's say I really did work for a place that skinned cats... Taxidermy perhaps?
Right answer. It was my summer job... lots of cats came in and I got them all. The boss told me he's never seen someone work so quickly and paid me extra if I could skin them in a way that required less time to stuff them (that was his job) because I skinned them and he stuffed them. What a great job, but many things come to an end and I found another job.

Later in life, I got to talking at a pub and the subject came up about skinning cats. Okay, I skinned a few... hundred and described how I developed some different ways to skin cats. But... it sounded so over the top that no one believed me. I really was telling the truth and someone at the end of the bar went around telling people I was a BS'er simply because in his neck of the woods no one had accomplished what I said I had done.

Trump fabricated a story/lie about Obama that people believed. Millions of dollars were wasted on finding the truth. Years later, he admitted it was a farce but people to this day believe the lie... it did sound convincing. If you are convinced that the lie was true chances are the person who started the lie would be unable to change your mind.
That's human nature.

So any time I went into that bar I was perceived as a liar simply because of a person who fed people BS about me. Then one day, the best customer of the taxidermist happens into the pub. He recognizes me from years past and mentioned how much money he made selling stuffed cats that he knew I had skinned. Some of the people stood around with mouths opened... "You mean he was telling the truth?" one of them said...

I've seen some YouTube videos uploaded by Dude Perfect. It's a group of guys who document some amazing stunts, some have been entered into the Guiness Boooook. Anyway, their videos are really cool... I've seen an outtake of the amount of failures it takes to get one successful stunt. Hundreds.

What sticks in your mind is the 'first try' success these guys have on video...

Sometimes a person, a name, personifies a whole time of your life

Sometimes, you don’t even realize until you hear their name years and years later and it is a TARDIS moment, you suddenly see people you’d forgotten, hear voices as though they were still speaking, you are scooped back in time and it is magical

It also destroys you a little.

This is not an interactive blog, but if you have had a similar experience, and if you are moved to share it here - sawubona. I see you.

Guilt feelings about ageism.

Hello guys.
Just want to share some thoughts about ageism, that keeps on coming back and forth in my mind since 4 days.
There's been an uproar lately with the launch of dating apps, that would popped up on our widow, so not bad to be relieved from curiousity, and communicating with people all over the world is beneficial too, just travelling around the world with less expenses.lol
Building a profile sounds like..I have to attract people on here. Here comes the age range..50 to 60 only, I don't need a father, as nobody could replace my father. Needs a caregiver? I could be, just hire me then. I did not realized I feed ageism, and only a step, I could be counted as member of the club.
crying men of 70's could beat those on 20's when it comes to stamina and women as well. So age range should be omitted to open the dating pool...applause and don't we all want more choices???::peace:

Soaking up free Wi-Fi at the coffee shop...

It's standard business to offer free Wi-Fi nowadays. Donuts shops, restaurants, fast-food establishments. The lobby of the medical clinic has a sign on the wall with the login code to access their free Wi-Fi.

Twenty years ago the place to get online was at an Internet Cafe. I used to video chat with some women in the Philippines who paid by the hour to share time with friends family and the possibility of meeting a guy online. Owning a computer and having an internet at home was only for the wealthy. The cafe was the normal way get a computer and connect with the outside world.

Often, it's dark when I leave my office heading home and pass by a 24 hour McDonalds. I can see groups of people on the outside patio relaxing at tables typing away on their laptops soaking up the free Wi-Fi.
