More men than women...

Last night, I had a few webpages opened on my browser that I wanted to research in the morning. I put the computer to sleep instead of shutting down like usual. The wake sequence didn't work and I was forced to completely reboot and wait for Windows to do some recovery diagnostics.
The good thing is, I was able to recover the browser pages. After, I cleared the cache file and cookies and restart the browser. Coming to Connecting Singles and checking the new member list (before logging in) showed all new members and not only women as my normal default.

Each page shows 48 new members and there weren't many women joining.
45 men, 3 women on the first page.
44 men, 4 women on the second page.
44 men, 4 women on the third page.

It was night time in North America and I expected to see Europeans joining... that wasn't the case. Guys from Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait were the majority of new members.

I only checked the first 3 pages, but if this statistic for the most recent 500 to 600 members is the trend, something isn't right.

1 woman for every 12 men are joining.

It wasn't long ago I blogged 'they don't return' in that, scanning the list of new women joining CS drops off sharply after the 2nd page. They come, they look around, they disappear.

Can you formulate what is happening long-term... ?

My thought is:
Unless CS can advertise in places that will bring men and a lot more women from Europe, North America, South America, Australia and Asia, their chances of survival aren't real good.

...seeing the filth and the decay and all of the broken buildings and walls and the graffiti.

On Tuesday August first, Donald J. Trump received his 3rd indictment. This one was for his efforts to undo the results of the 2020 election leading up to the January 6th insurrection. He appeared in court Thursday for the arraignment. Travel from the Regan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia to the courthouse to was by way of motorcade with an entourage of secret service. Private entrance around the courthouse was prepared for his visit. The street to the courthouse was lined with barricades and details of special security.

After leaving the courthouse, he gave a brief speech to news media waiting at the airport and stated “This is a very sad day for America, and it was also very sad driving through Washington, D.C., and seeing the filth and the decay and all of the broken buildings and walls and the graffiti. This is not the place that I left. It’s a very sad thing to see it.”
He blamed this all on president Biden... were you expecting that?

I got to see a news feed of the tree lined highway path back to the airport and unable to catch any buildings along the way. I'm sure there were some between the highway and the courthouse. My plan was to trace the route with Google Earth just to see for myself what was actually visible along the way.

My schedule is super busy right now, having submitted a revised quotation for a project, the GC also wants the drawing revisions. That could take most of today and part of the weekend.

The good news is many of the people on social media who are familiar with the Washington DC area contested Trump's statement about the filth and decay.

Anderson Cooper said: “We should point out that when the former president left office and left Washington, D.C., the city was on lockdown because of the attack on Jan. 6,”
“That is the city he left behind.”
It was noted that damages caused by the Capitol riot exceeded $2.7 million.

Again, it's a case of who do you want to believe?

Please don't cry...

Trump has been indicted in the Federal probe over the effort to unto undo the 2020 election. In other news, Ron DeSantis ain't doing so well after the NAACP issued a formal travel advisory for Florida, warning visitors that the state has become “openly hostile toward African Americans” under Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’s leadership.
Two major Black organizations announced they are moving their annual multimillion-dollar conferences elsewhere.
Ron's politics is killing tourism in Florida with his fights with Disney.
Since he's been out on a failing campaign trail, Florida gets neglected.
But... maybe that's a good thing as his presence here is quickly turning sour.

These are the two top contenders in the Republican primary.

Issues, issues... let me get you some tissues.

A good Christian...

I avoid topics of religion, but current blog about UFO and religious groups had me thinking. Also, a comment to my recent blog mentioned Christians, so I thought I'd "ask around" if any people knew a lot about Christianity and what Christians do... or for that matter, what Christians don't do.

I'm working on a list, in case I come across a Christian or someone who has studied Christianity and can offer advice.

Smoking, is it Christian to smoke? What about gambling? Is it Christian to gamble?
Illegal drugs... is it Christian to take illegal drugs or to buy or sell them?
Is it okay for Christian man to rape a woman? Is it okay for a Christian man to use prostitutes? Do good Christians partake in 3-somes, kinkysex or torture?
Do Christians steal from others?
Are Catholics, Baptists, Protestants all Christians or do they differ?
Can gays, lesbians, transgenders be Christians?
Would someone who is known for paying prostitutes be a good Christian?
Do Christians accept people who are not Christian?

That should be enough to get started, I'm sure I'll be back when I think of other things.

I've got one more... In closing if it's said gluttony is a sin, could grossly obese people be good Christians?

Loyalty...

Before, during and after his presidency, Donald J. Trump demanded loyalty from everyone surrounding him. He still does. I've seen a few videos of his former attorney Michael Cohen, who described it and made reference to loyalty like the mafia. Former deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews gave testimony on the January 6th hearing and said it was expected from all the White House staff.

Earlier this year, Trump's valet, Walt Nauta, was charged in the stolen documents case. His legal team is paid for from monies collected by Trump's reelection campaign funds.
Last week, the Mar-a-Lago head of maintenance, Carlos De Oliveira is now facing a possible prison sentence for allegedly assisting Nauta, on Trump's orders, to hide documents and destroy evidence. He's scheduled to turn himself in today to be formally charged with a crime. The same as Walt, his legal fees will be paid for by Trump.

What cost is the loyalty for these two?

I give them a 98% chance they will see prison. How long? Some legal advisers estimate as much as 10 to 20 years. Walt, could get more than Carlos as he lied to investigators. Carlos, was only acting on instructions from the boss and would probably receive a lesser sentence. The question is did they cut deals with Trump not to flip and turn in information on Trump that would get them lesser sentences?
We have no way f knowing this.

What guarantee do either of these guys have that their silence will get them and their families financial protection for loyalty? There is ALWAYS the possibility that Trump could renege should he feel they didn't do enough to support him.

We've seen a handful of lawyers defending Trump decide to leave the team. Were they not paid? Trump has a history of complaining and not paying his legal counsel. The smart ones want money up front. Now it's not (so much) the money, it's career suicide to (attempt to) defend Trump without risk for the clients they've already been paid to defend. Touch subject for that matter.

Michael Cohen stated it's best for Walt to to 'flip on Trump' and take a plea deal for a lesser sentence. After Carlos appears in court today, Cohen may give the same advice.
You will know where you stand with the court and... maybe not with Trump.

My opinion based on historical events. Possibly you may have a different perspective.

Bored certified...

I once dated a woman who had to be entertained every waking moment. I was working from home at the time and she had a job with lots of local travels. Often, she would stop by unannounced and get annoyed if I couldn't give her my undivided attention when she came over.
Dates were much the same. When we went to the movies, I couldn't become engrossed in the movie... I had to maintain concentration on her. The movie (or anything else) had to become secondary.
It appeared she would get bored being alone. Impatient, at best if something didn't occupy her free time.

I'd say she was bored certified...

The Importance of Communication..
..
Communication is the act of conveying or receiving information, knowledge, ideas, thoughts, feelings, opinions, etc. It can be conveyed through verbal or nonverbal communication.
Method of communication:

A message can be communicated in different ways. It can be verbal, which means talking, or it can be conveyed in writing. Along with these, the receiver and sender can also communicate using signs, gestures, expressions etc

For communication to be successful, both parties should understand the message. Both the sender and receiver should understand the communication or it becomes miscommunication. Understanding is also influenced by several factors like emotions, culture, language, upbringing and location.

But why is it important to communicate? Communication or social interaction is how we express our ideas, desires, wants and needs. Everything from education to the workplace and even human societies depend on communication to understand each other. Communication is as old as our civilization itself, from time immemorial man, nature and animals communicated with each other verbally and non-verbally.

Communication is the process of conveying messages, information, and ideas between humans and animals. We can communicate by speaking, writing, or even showing physical actions. Humans communicate verbally through the use of different languages that they know. Animals communicate with one another through their noise.

Communication is the greatest importance. It is important to sharing out one's thoughts and feelings to live a fuller and happier life. The more we communicate the less we suffer and the better we feel about everything around.

Communication can be defined as the sharing or exchanging of thoughts, opinions, or information by speech, writing, gestures, listening, etc. The word “communication” is derived from the word “communis.” Communis is a Latin word, which means common.
