We don't have a defense anymore. Support your County Sheriffs and LEO's.

We are under attack and on our own. Our infrastructure won't handle another 100 million people expected here in the next couple of years (air water food transportation.) The world is screwed when we go down. Support your County Sheriffs and local LEO's (Law Enforcement Officers.) The U.S. Sheriffs want to do their jobs protecting us, even though our current Federal admin won't. Educate yourselves.

Has anyone seen Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with President Vladimir Putin?

I can’t wait for our information starved truth-seeking Americans to watch it! wine

On "Meet me" and "Likes"

The top menu line of CS contains a few menu items. Drop down menus are the looking glass for searches, the people button and of course the Profile and Inbox menus. In between you find your 'matches' which you might hope are CS limits to local members within your search preferences, but search preferences are largely ignored. You will see all members, young and old: women if you are a straight man, all men if you are a straight woman. You can tune who you see by adding an age range or a specific location in the menu at the right. The ordering is according to the last log-on date and time.

And then there is the "meet-me" button, which shows 'new members' in your local area. You can 'swipe' either 'yes', 'may be' or 'no'. Candidly to all members you answered 'yes' CS sends a 'like'. As a rookie, I wasn't aware of this. Nowadays I don't use the 'Meet me' button any longer. A peculiar side effect of using the "meet me" button, is that when responding 'yes' without a full profile view, the recipient of the 'like' doesn't notice the sender among his 'profile views'. This is a tell-tale of people having used the "meet me" button. (Technically you might also switch 'hiding my views' and then send a like. This suggests a twisted mindset.)

If you don't really like to receive messages from certain regions or continents or from people (far) outside your target age range, you can specify this by editing your block settings. Your default block settings are lifted for all members you 'like'. A member who 'likes' you, thereby also lifts his/her block settings for messaging (if there were any). If 'likes' are mutual, messaging is possible by default.

Fading away of smile

I noticed people have stopped smiling more often.

Seems like the natural happy vibes are slowly disappearing.

Intellectual Property and Copyright Law, re this site.

I have recently read on my profile page that I now have a free profile with ads.
That this site is selling advertising is not my concern, however, selling it out of my profile page using my Intellectual Property, to obtain financial gain, is Illegal and contravenes all Copyright Laws in every country on this planet.
Those of this site might wish to rethink any policy that might contravene Copyright on my Intellectual Property, be that a Blog, a Forum or a comment.
My Thanks for your time in this. W.

WARNING: CONTENTS EXTREMELY HOT!

There are people in this world who lack common sense. Many of them don't read instructions before operating machinery or doing things deemed dangerous/careless by other members of society.
I recall a story about a woman who bought a motor-home, gets on the highway, turns on cruise control. She gets up from the driver's seat to go back and make a cup of coffee and the vehicle runs off the road crashing and injuring the woman.
Obviously, she assumed cruise control was auto-pilot. Lady, it's a motor-home and not a Boeing 747.
I'm sure vehicle manufacturers have added warnings on the control and increased the owner's handbook warning.
Sometimes, their stupidity actually pays off. Take the case of the 79 year old woman who was negligent and spilled hot McDonalds coffee on her lap while in her car causing 3rd degree burns that required skin grafting and 2 years of medical treatment. Stupidly McDonalds didn't want to pay her $20,000 medical expenses and settle. The woman's attorney sued and got her millions.
After... you guessed it, all the McDonalds coffee cups and lids now have explicit warnings.
It happened again to an 85 year old woman who placed the cup in the car's drink holder, drove to an appointment and parked. She claims the lid wasn't put on correctly and ALL of the coffee spilled on her when she started to drink it. I do hope McDonalds had better lawyers for that case.

So the next time you decide to watch that bag of microwave popcorn puff up while cooking, Take my advice and stand back. You're done when the popping is nearly stopped... Otherwise being too close the door and some spurious radiation leaks out it could be your eyeballs that will puff up.
While on the subject of microwave radiation, NEVER try to dry your pet inside a microwave oven. The results would be alarming.

Citizen Trump Has Lost His Appeal

Trump appealed to the District Court of Washington DC to dismiss Jack Smith's criminal suit against him.

The appeal was based upon three arguments previously rejected by the trial judge Tanya Chutkan:

1. The proposed DC criminal trial constitutes double jeopardy because Trump wasn't successfully impeached for his involvement in the January 6th riot/insurrection;

2. The president has immunity for acts performed within the outer perimeter of the scope of his/her office;&

3. The president has aboslute immunity for any criminal act, or from any civil liabilty during his/her period of office.

(I think there may have been something about absolute presidential immunity forevermore, but that's so bonkers I can't get my head round the mere suggestion.)

The appellate court consisting of a panel of three judges (Republican appointee Judge Henderson and Democrat appointees Judges Pan and Childs) affirmed Judge Chutkan's ruling per curium (all three agreed) that there is no legal, or constitutional basis for dismissing the case on those grounds and that Trump's right to defense is the same as any other US citizen.

The District Court also ruled that Trump has until the 12th February to request a stay of the order pending appeal to the Supreme Court. If they don't hear from him by then, the trial is back on.

Improving at work and learning a new language!

For the past few weeks, I have taken on more and more supervisor like tasks, which is a definite improvement from my usual workload. Before I was just picking the items - now I am half running a team. It was never in my interest to do any of this, but I quite like it. The fact that it's come as organic as it has, just makes it better.

Who knows where I am in a year? Three? I might be running the entire team on my own.. Only time will tell.

Speaking of time - it's time for me to learn a new language. I speak two fluently, so now I want to add a third language. I just need to pick out the language I want to learn. Spanish? Italian? French? I don't know yet.
