Why do people go through life looking for happiness? Dogs and cats look for food and comfort, but they certainly don't go to all the trouble that people do in their continual search for happiness. I suppose the reason is that we are the only ones who can align ourselves with the hado of happiness.
Many years ago, I had a discussion with Dr.Ravi Batra, a well-known international economist, and he said something that has stuck with me:
Why do you think people continually search for happiness? The reason is because we people have a link to unlimited existence. But many of us make a serious mistake. We set up conditions for happiness based on riches and fame, momentary pleasures, and things that are limited and always changing.
There are those who are rich beyond most of our imaginations, and yet they continue to want more as they strive in vain to find happiness. The reason it's in vain is because they are looking to find unlimited happiness in limited money and riches.
Unless we can become one with the unlimited existence, we will never find true happiness. This requires that we raise our consciousness.
All that can be seen with the human eye is of this limited world. Sooner or later, the material trappings will end, and as long as that is how we define happiness, our hearts will always feel hollow.
Of course I understand that casting aside all desire is not possible or even advisable. In fact, desire is not what's preventing us from finding happiness. An appropriate amount of desire is needed to make people strive for something better, and it's what made it possible for human society to rise to its current level. The problem arises when we become slaves to our desires. Our modern society operates on the ability to stir up desire in the masses.
It's no easy task to find happiness in a society established on insatiable desire.So what is it that we need to do to escape never-ending desire and find happiness?
The answer is to have a thankful heart.
More than ever, we live in a time when love and appreciation is truly needed.And I think the right ratio for appreciation and love is 2:1 -- the exact ratio of hydrogen to oxygen in the H2O molecule!
We have seen where words of appreciation and love result in crystals of indescribable beauty. There are no conditions needed for appreciation. We can be thankful for life and for our freedom to move about.
When you align your soul with the hado of appreciation and love, a small drop of happiness will seep into your heart and spread throughout your body. This will link you to the vibration of happiness, and happiness will become a part of your daily life. And this is the secret for finding happiness right now wherever you are.

A man in an office found a magic lamp.
He took it to his boss, who was meeting with his finacial advisor. The man showed it to his boss and handed it over.
"Bit grubby" his boss said, rubbing it vigorously. Out popped a genie!
"I will grant each one of you in this room 1 wish!" Boomed out the genie!
Immediately piping up the financial advisor said, " I wish I was on a far away beach lying in the sun and drinking cocktails."
"Done!" said the genie, and the financial advisor disappeared.
Next the man who had found the lamp shouted out, " I wish I was in the Alps snowboarding and surrounded by beautiful women."
"Done" said the genie, and he disappeared.
"So what do you want?"

-What should he ask the man who’s praying, Alexander, bearing in mind that always works the Law of Pay and Punishment? The biologist asked back.
-Peace and health, without a second thought said Alexander.
-Will be war and will all fall ill.
-If you ask for peace and health will be war and disease? Mumble dazed Alexander.
-Exactly.
His shock was big.
-Why?
-To make peace it must first defuse all conflicts, disputes and hatred. It will be war to pursue peace.
-I can not digest ... and about health?
-Healthy is not the man who is not sick yet, but the man who got sick and managed to cure himself.
They stayed silent for some time, at the end Alexander sigh.
-That is why we say 'agnostics the wants of the Lord'. Better not to ask anything from God because you do not know what will get ...
-Right. If your thoughts have the power to go up to God, then He will listen. But because you do not know the consequences, you better not bother Him.
-But then, Spiritual Man how praying? What does he say?

loose ends
It has been a long time since i have had nothing to do. Well nothing purposeful to do, there is always busy work to be had, fussing over things that will never really make a difference - i even ventured into the threads today, very briefly as summer madness seemed in full spate again this year and i managed to craft a poem of sorts -m i do miss my former ease with words; a lighthearted gush of pretty that continually hovered at the back of my throat just waiting for a pen or a microphone to hove into view.
Apart from sleeping there is not much for me to do. I go through exercises until my muscles tremble, eat and struggle to floss my teeth...floss sticks are fine if you have two hands to wrap the floss with - i now have a gadget with little brushes which is one hand friendly and hs to be better than no floss at all...
The new shower routine is climb in first then turn on the water once i am sitting on the bench then scrub and rub a dub with scrunchies and long handled brushes wishing i could feel the sweep of bristles on my sleeping skin and so feel clean. but i scrub and lather, rinse and soap again until the air is saturated with the zestfully clean scent of whichever soap i am trying out today.
it is only 7 p.m. i cooked dinner for me and my sis and mum already, sorted my laundry to be taken down tomorrow, collected all the ginger ale bottles for return - i found out there is a deposit and even with the advantage of a health care system every penny counts - so now i am reporting my little nothings here. i am going to put some music on and trip the light fantastic (without actually tripping I hope) and maybe then i will be tired enough to sleep. i tried some peppermint oil for focus but my eyes simply do not want to read. it is almost enough to make me sign up for TV. Almost.

The Right Words at the Right Time - Venus Williams
Those of you who read my last blog will know that Saturday was an amazing day. What happened next with "her" I may/ may not put in my blog - havent decided yet. Its very early days, there is much work to be done to ground it. For now it very private.
So its back to the book..........
Venus Williams, an amazing tennis player recounts in the book the words of her sister Serena Williams during a game of doubles. Venus wasnt playing well and her sister said the fatefull words to her: "YOU HAVE A CHOICE, TO COMPETE WELL OR COMPETE BADLY. I CHOSE TO COMPETE WELL, WHY DONT YOU DO THAT TOO". An in those words Venus found a life philosophy - that if you are going to do something, give it your best, nothing less.
After that day she came back into form and played her best. She was 22 years of age when she heard those words.
It got me thinking that this is also my philosophy when I work - nothing but the best. I havent always applied it to other parts of my life, but am learning to.
So its back to the book..........

I waited a long time to find my guy and once I found him I made sure he new I wanted him. Yes he was younger buy the heart know's not age I looked younger my thinking was younger my attitude was younger.
He liked what he saw and I made sure he caught me.
My family did not approve so they had a family meeting and deside to disown me. So here I am the family- BLACK SHEEP- no problem I kinda liked the lable, we got married and was enjoying, at least I thought so until he asked for a divorce,-oh yeh - I gave it to him, but he did'nt go away. We were married for three years and stayed together for 12 after that, in total we were together for fifteen years build a business, no, no children and that was the problem. His family wanted him to have his own kids and to marry his own kind. He made a lot of promises and did not live up to any of them. He is totaly a different personality. Not my tast at all, the shell is there but no heart.
Now I am quite alone and hating it, liking it sometimes but OH MY HEART, No- no longer likes or loves him.
Now he's got three kids and yes I am happy for him he deserve his blessings. I pray God is as kind to him as he is to me. A man that's really a man, who follws through with a plan, and his word is a representation of who he is.
