I have been used to be an independent girl since when I was child because of my traditional family. I have never ever think about that one day I will have a man who really gives me true love. I have been used to do every thing on my own. Therefore, I don't act like girls who are pretend to be like they are weak or they need guys to protect them or they need guys to help them to do almost every thing except shopping. Do I want to be like those girls? To be honest, of course, sometimes I really hope I can be like that, too. But guess what? The whole environment that I am in doesn't allow me to do so. A lot of people treat me like I am a boy becaue they said that I am tough or I am just like a boy. Do I really want to be like that? Hell No!!!! But, I already got no choice. That is already exactly how I am.
Therefore, I have been hung out with guys most of the time. I can say that I can understand what a man want when he is with a girl. I understand what a man wants his girlfriend to be. So, I am always the one who tell girls a lot of things which guys want.
When the first time when I had a boyfriend, I realized that actually there isn't really any big difference between those girls and me. Just like most of the girls, when I have a boyfriend, I don't even know who I am. I meant, my life all of a sudden will just focus on that man.

When I do things, I think about him first.
When friends ask me to go out, I think about if he wants to go any places with me.
When it's time to eat, I think about did he eat anything yet.
When he doesn't have money, I will just give him whatever I can.
When he is tired, I can stay at home with him and do anything he would like to do.
When I want to go any places, I will ask if he wants to go , too. If not, I won't go, either.
When I have to do anything which is necessary, I will let him know first.
When he asks me for help, I will do my best to help him.
When he wants to go out, I will make any excuses to let my parents let me go out.
When we set up a plan but he can't make it all of a sudden, I will say , it's ok..I understand.

Do you ever live briefly in your life after your life or one before it? Some things I can't understand. People in my dreams tell me things about places I never knew existed. I look it up on the internet and find it to be true and wonder how I could tell myself about things I don't know.

i know you can't judge your lover by who you've loved but i've been shot two different times,stabbed,cut,beat down in gang fights as a youmgin',but nothing compares to the pain of a woman saying "why don't you trust me" then i trust her only to find her abusing my trust and cheating on me,when i've always taken pride in the fact that i've NEVER cheated on any woman i've ever dated yet i've always been cheated on,how is one supposed to trust when every woman they've ever dated that said "trust me" betrayed they're trust in the ultimate way?

Everyone knows he was Mayor of New York City on 911 and displayed great leadership at a time of crises. Rudolf in the book however talks about a funeral he attended two weeks before 911. A young firefighter had died of a heart attack, Rudolf attended the funeral. The firefighter's sister was scheduled to be married soon afterwards. To the surprise of the funeral guests, his mother said "When terrible things happen I focus on the good parts of life and celebrate them even more. My daughters wedding must go ahead".

Rudolf says he remembered the words so clearly after 911. They changed his outlook on 911. He focused on the many many more that did not die as the terrorists had intended because the towers stayed standing long enough for them to get out, on the many who had been saved by the heroic actions of the firefighers.

It got me thinking about situations in my own life recently.

- My father who is slipping rapidly into the lonely world of Alzheimer's and making normal life very difficult for my mum and my sister who lives at home. I started into grieving for him this summer as it happened, but I have been able since to focus instead on his 87 years of good health, on my vivid memories of him as a great father to me growing up.

- A woman that I dated, who ended our relationship because it was not meeting her needs. For a while I wallowed in pity and grief, but I got through that and see now the many gifts that she gave in our time together, and how I have grown as a man ironically from the loss.

Riley B. King, the undisputed king of the blues (BB King) turns 83 today.

Here's some interesting facts about him that you may, or may not already know;

His mother, Nora Ella King died when he was 9.

He grew up on a Mississippi plantation chopping cotton for $0.75 per day or picking cotton for $0.35 per 100 lbs. He is still proud that he could pick up to 480 pounds of cotton a day and that his cousin and he could team up to pick a bale (900 lbs) in a day.

He bought his first guitar with a month's worth of earnings at age 12 for about $15.

He used to play guitar on Saturdays on the corner of Church & 2nd Street in Mineola. When he played gospel music, he would often get a pat on the back and told that he would be good one day. However, when he played the blues, he would often get a tip. The totals of his tips often amounted to more than he earned all week picking cotton.

His uncle was boxer, Sonny Liston.

His nickname BB actually began while he was a DJ for a radio station in Memphis.

He named his guitar Lucille after almost losing his life by going back into a club in Twist Arkansas to rescue it from a fire. That fight occurred during one of his performances in the 50's and the fight was over a woman named, Lucille. One of the guys fighting accidently kicked over a kerosene lamp.

Frank Sinatra used to help him get into 'white' clubs.

In 2003 Rolling Stone Magazine named him the third greatest guitar player ever.

He has 14 Grammy Awards and was also given a Lifetime Achiement Award

Just finished reading the words that changed Whoopie Goldberg's life. Greta actor, The Colour Purple her best film by far. She talks about being as a teenager and dressing up in whatever she wanted to wear. One evening her friends were going out and she picked a torn overall and tie-dyed shirt to wear. Her friends were disgusted and told her to change her clothes if she wanted to join them. She then goes on to say - I looked at my mother and my mum said "Well you can change your clothes and go ahead and be like everyone else if you want. But if it's not what you want and you're strong enough to take other people's ridicule, then stand by your conviction". Those words propelled Whoopie to be the outrageously funny person that she is, she reckons.

The words reminded me of the outrageous men and women I know, all of whom challenged me and for that I'm glad. And yes there is a part of me that is outragous too, and I've encouraged it.
