inbetween treatments...three to go

This time when the tendrils of depression started to coil around my heart I was ready and said rude words and waved my finger in their faces before I slammed the door.

Because that's the key, for me at least. Once i know it is a mood, I can deal and manipulate it, bring in anger or laughter or sentimental dreams or just sit and acknowledge that I am feeling sad and that sad does not get to fill my whole life any more than happy does.

My dreams have come back more completely, they tend to be abiout surgery and chemicals(my sister says they are nightmares so I guess she hs never had a real nightmare) so i assume my brain is updating its files. With any luck it will throw out the trash too and let my nerves start work again.

I will see the osteopath agin in about two hours towards helping that along as well, my arm is very much better although it stil hurts to move it much. So I don't. Move it much I mean.

I have a strong reluctance to walk down stairs at the moment but I do it anyway because that is another way depression grabs you, whispering 'you can'ts' or 'it's too much' in your ear.

The ways we lie to ourselves and let ourselves be conquered are myriad and fascinating, we, the human race, are designed to succeed and survive, how did we forget this about ourselves or did no one ever tell us?

Writing this blog has brought love and caring from total strangers into my life, the very best of what we can be to each other, an affirmation of life and love that frequently brings tears to my eyes because you have not left me alone on this path, but offer hands and shoulders and smiles to keep me going. You have no idea how much you do to keep me going forward when I falter. You have no idea how much I love you all.

25th CENTURY (8)

- Then how come to exist in humans something immortal, as something that feeds, live?
-What? Is the man of something immortal?
- Yes, There is something of which lives and grows as human feeds it.
- Funny… not know. What's that Konstantine?
- I will tell. For tell me what illness is?
- Illness is a condition in which the body is not working properly.
- And why is not working properly? Why your hend does not working as it should?
- Because did stupidity and cold water touched my arm, leading to a fatal cooling.
konstantine smiled.
- If you change the word stupidity, what would you say that you were?
-Mmm… was wrong?
- So what is the disease?
- Wrong! We make mistakes and get sick.
- And if we don’t make mistakes?
- If not making mistakes will not get sick.
- So-in! Konstantine said emphatically.
U.P moved on his chair and looked surprised.
- Wait a minute! If we are no wrong, will not get sick?
- This does not prove?
- And how will die, sound?
- Is it death compulsory?
U.P looked shocked. He did not take any respite until he understands what the Biologist said.
- What do you mean, whispered, we could not die? We can remain immortal?
- Once a man has something inside of the immortals, it could be the whole immortal.

furball has been named Ollie....

and is a HUGE, sleek cat with golden eyes who loves his new mistress and doesn't remenber me although he was civil and sniffed twice at my fingers to be sure. Probably the chemo scent...He is settled and happy and gorgeous so I am glad.

Anyway, i saw M the osteopath yesterdayand she admired my bruises and inflammation. She also thinks that once we repair my 'wing' we can help my brain be a little less confused. I was happy, she does acupuncture and homeopathic remedies and twenty four hours of icing (in the right place) and arnica montana have already reduced the swelling and the heat that were the main features of my upper left arm.

I had planned to do a paste up of my print ads today and then I thought WHY? Your arm hurts and using one is not just a challenge, it is an exercise in frustration so why not just take the day off?So I have spent the day icing my shoulder and reading the latest Alex Delaware mystery to reach these shores. I miss my Barnes and Noble. Shoot, I regret not spending the money to ship my library home...re-reading books is fine by me if they are good in the first place!

Strange how things work, last october I rescued Furball and after many efforts to find him a home because a cat hating landlord meant I could not keep him he eventually goes to the woman who is now my osteopath and will be helping me heal. Truly, everything has a place and a part tp play.

Ah well, time for ice and arnica again, and perhaps some tea and toast as well...tea does not antidote arnica so I can drink it.

M said furball peed everywhere for the first month she had him- I felt really bad because he used a litterbox perfectly when he was in doors here -but she didn't seem to mind, he is fine now except for wanting lots of attention and affection, hey he had a rough childhood so I am not surprised. M is under his spell, so they are both happy - a good ending.

* lies and truth *

"Politicians are like diapers. They both need changing regularly and for the same reason." - Anonymous

“Truth is not determined by majority vote.” - Doug Gwyn

"People often say that, in a democracy, decisions are made by a majority of the people. Of course, that is not true. Decisions are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who vote - a very different thing." - Walter H. Judd

"If you don't read the newspaper, you are uninformed; if you do read the newspaper, you are misinformed." - Mark Twain

Anyway, according to Abraham Lincoln, “If you once forfeit the confidence of your fellow citizens, you can never regain their respect and esteem. It is true that you may fool all of the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all of the time; but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.”

We really need to be wise so that we could discern between lies and truth because not all news are truth. Let us pray for wisdom so that we will make the right choice. Think carefully before you cast your votes!

Promises

“We must not promise what we ought not, lest we be called on to perform what we cannot” - Abraham Lincoln

Never promise more than you can perform. For every promise, there is price to pay. Just like eggs, oaths are easily broken. Promise only what you can deliver. Then deliver more than you promise.

"The man who promises everything is sure to fulfill nothing, and everyone who promises too much is in danger of using evil means in order to carry out his promises, and is already on the road to perdition." - Carl Jung

"The best way to keep one's word is not to give it." - Napoleon Bonaparte

The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:37,

"But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one."

Great friendships are focused relationships where promises are made and kept. However, most of the time, more is promised than delivered; more is said than done; more is pledged than completed; more is committed than accomplished.

Let's be slow in making promises but always keep them.

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a debate that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2 "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

The author of this little story is unknown. It was passed onto me by one of my great friends.

Where are you focusing your attention and love?

Its your choice!

Peace and Respect

Happiness is a Choice

Happiness is a Choice, and your choices are dependant on your beliefs. I read this list and totally agreed with the message. Its all about your thinking. If you don’t like the way things are, then change. Change is inevitable anyway, and the only realy thing we have control over is our choices. Today Choose to be Happy.

The Seven Beliefs of Happy People

1-You are ok

You are as you are, with all your limits, with all your faults, the good and the bad. You have the right to exist and be happy.

2-Your life is no accident
Your life has a meaning: it might be humble, it might be great, it might be rational, or it might be totally weird! No need to explain it: it just makes sense.

3-You can choose the life you want
You can enjoy what you have and change what you don’t like.

4-Your past is ok
There are things your are proud of, and maybe others you wish you hadn’t done. There are periods in which life has treated you well, and others in which you felt so very unlucky. All is all part of your story, all is part of who you are.

5-Your present is interesting
This crazy thing called life is never boring!

6-Your future is bright
Things will turn out well. If anything bad happens, you will cope with it and you will find a way to learn from experience.

7-You are loved
Loneliness is just a state of mind: if you close your eyes, love is all around you!

GOD BLESS YOU!
