just a poem
And then….she left.
I lay-- still, confused, quiet-
Missing her.
Wanting her warmth,
As she talked and said nothing-
Wanting her lips, her skin, her presence.
wanting HER.
wanting her, to be HERE.
It has usually been the case
That after the passion…
I crave solitude.
But she- she left with a smile …
And an excuse.
And suddenly-suddenly solitude is not an old friend
But an endless,endless saddness

The decline and death of western civilization
In the whole vast configuration of geopolitics and political correctness I believe it was/is inevitable that all the principles western civilization (namely the United States) was founded and built upon would erode to the point of being nothing more than a footnote in the pages of world history. The tentacles of liberal socialism, political correctness, multi-culturalism, outcome based education, "feel good" legislation, and sheer individual appathy have almost strangled the very essence out of virtually every single ideal the founding fathers envisioned, In furtherence, the millions that have died for in vain to support and defend those beliefs.
An eerie sense of entitlement has swept through the land like a tsunami. I see on a daily basis of individuals unwilling to take resposibility for their actions coupled with others trying to justify/explain/rationalize irresponsible behavior. Just when I believe the standards of normalicy couldn't get any lower... lo and behold, something new arises. If I were an alien from another planet and clicked on the remote through the television channels I would be hard pressed to determine a tangible difference between the news and the Jerry Springer show.
The death of a nation, like the death person most often occurs from within (heart disease, cancer, ect.). Hard work, education, and personal character used to be the recipe for success. There was a time when a person's word and a handshake was as good as money in the bank. There was a time where you could buy a piece of land, build a house, put out your crops, allowed to defend yourself/family/property- try doing that today. Buy (I should say "rent" because of property taxes) a piece of land (but first may need pay for an enviromental impact study and determine if there are any endangered species on it).
Life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness*
*Life- So long as you aren't a person like Terry Schiavo
*Liberty- So long as the ATF doesn't decide to burn your church down in Waco, TX or assassinate your wife and 13 year old son a la Randy Weaver (Ruby Ridge)
*persuit of happiness- which is systematically being exsiccated via legislation thanks to special interest groups (both corporate and grass roots).
Just received my 4th ticket for not wearing a seatbelt. Women have freedom of choice concerning an abortion, why don't I get to get the freedom of choice in this matter? I don't want or need a nanny to tell me what to do with MY life (making a mental note to refer to the next officer who gives me a ticket for the same non-compliance offense as "officer Poppins" as Mary Poppins the nanny). As a rational, intelligent adult, I believe I am the best one to make adult choices of what is and what is not in my best interest.
I used to say those who would be critical of the US "If you don't like it here, then move"; However, as time progresses perhaps they had valid points to make and I was holding out on the hopes and ideals of our founding fathers.

tips for survival when you find yourself in a horror movie..
Survival Tips:
When it seems that you've killed the monster, never check to see if it's really dead.
As a general rule, don't solve puzzles that open portals to Hell.
If appliances start operating by themselves, move out.
Do not take (or borrow) anything from the dead.
Don't fool with recombinant DNA technology unless you're sure you know what you are doing.
If you're running from the monster, expect to trip or fall down at least twice, more if you are female. Also note that, although you are running and the monster is merely shambling along, it's still moving fast enough to catch up with you.
Beware of strangers bearing tools such as chain saws, staple guns, hedge trimmers, electric carving knives, combines, lawnmowers, butane torches, soldering irons, band saws, weed-whackers or any device made from deceased companions.
Listen closely to the soundtrack; and pay attention to the audience, since they are usually far more intelligent than you could ever hope to be.
Strange lights are seldom harbingers of joy.
When you land on a distant planet and find some objects that look like eggs, leave them alone.
Don't open the closed door, especially if you hear scratching, heavy breathing, or any other strange noises from the other side.
If you have defeated the monster, pay close attention to the camera, if it pans away for no apparent reason at all, get the heck out of there.
Your dog can take care of itself...
So can your spouse...
And your kids.
If you are a good dog you have a 50-50 chance of survival. Good dogs will only die if they stand up to the monster in defense of their master. Bite the hand that feeds you and run away!
If you are a bad dog (bad dog!), you WILL be dead by the movie's end. Therefore, kill all people you encounter, except for your ex-master, whom you feel strangely compelled to avoid.
If you set the monster on fire, or he is set on fire, he will not die but instead try and fight you while he is on fire.
Remember: quaint rural corn ceremonies are NEVER really about corn . . .
Don't submerge yourself in a bathyscaphe and search for prehistoric monsters under the ocean. You may as well just drive a giant fish hook through your body and get someone to troll with you.
Never EVER eat the dead monster's heart.
If you are trapped in a house surrounded by demons, making coffee will not help anyone.
If you have a cat, give it away. The stupid thing is only going to get trapped in a locked cabinet or closet somehow and scare the living bejeezus out of you when you open it. This, of course, sets you up to be killed the instant you leave the room. Buy a goldfish instead.
Never say, "It's over", "It's dead", or "I killed it".

I have so many people that tell me it shouldnt be hard for me to find someone. so why is it? im not desperate... i just have an urge im trying to satisfy. I'm looking for a friendship that could possibly turn into a relationship that could maybe even turn into marriage one day. Any tips for me? All the cute guys i talk to are too far away. Not that I'd never relocate... I would if necessary... but my job and schooling doesnt allow for it for at least a good 5-7 years.
