do these sites really work ?

im a new member today and would appreciate some feedback from longer serving members as to how well this site performs,just need a little reassurance that i have not completley lost it.
dont get me wrong i am not in persuit of perfection here, i know that nobody is perfect, not even me,ha ha ha . maybe i can find miss almost perfect.

travelling bonus

Putting that suitcase in order, figuring out what to take or not, making sure I have all my travel papers and itinery....taking that taxi to the airport with al my things...I always meet people when I am away..Perhaps it is because they are so relaxed and away from the hum drum of their work week. I have had the chance on several relationships this way and am not surprised that locally their seems to be more stress in finding someone.roll eyes

Photos on profiles

Hi all, I was wondering what other think about listings without photos? Remember, "only with the heart one can see rightly: What is essential is invisible to the eye". Thus, what is inside will always outweigh the outer shell. Besides, who wants a great looking partner/friend if they haven't got "personality", tolerance, the same value system as you, "whatever" etc. Saying that, I prefer photos simply to gain an appreciation of whom I am talking to rather than a generic cut-out. It just makes that little more personal and friendly. handshake

bein me...

i'm just an old scooterbum. tattoos, jeans, boots, and my old harley. years back, i'd ride down the street on my leaky, noisy old bike and people would lock their doors and roll up their windows. i'd walk into a bar and people would scowl and move away. fast forward to today. everyone's got tattoos and harleys. everyones wearin jeans and boots. everyone wants to be me. damn! i miss bein infamous. damn rolex riders........

My life

I know people are tired of my depressing self hating posts on the forums, and I know alot are being ignored now as thinking "he just wants attention". Maybe I do want attention, but at this point in my life everything is on suck mode. I'm 25, still live with Mom, havn't had a date in 5 years, has a very dysfunctional family, and a job that leaves me with no time to do anything.

"Just move out" or "Find another job" will be most replies, but remember I goto work at 8am and don't get off till 7pm. Good luck finding an apartment office open that late, or a job manager willing to interview me that late. So here I am in my hellish limbo, with no friends in real life, a family that doesn't like me, and my only solace are my cats.

Just wanted to let people know whats going on, not like they will read this anyway.

Lonely way to long,

I have a husband who is in the nursing home , we are now legally seperated,but i have been by my self for going on 14 yr, and sometimes i really get down with my life. and also probably hurt other peoples feelings, beacuse i am so down. Its just not fun to be alone,
