The voyages and adventures of the Connectus and the Singulus ( Archived) (886)

I am writing a fictional story about a couple of swashbucklers and their misadventures, it involves people in these forums (well 3 so far) playing different characters, if you want to be in this story let me know and i'll add you.

The characters availiable are, Ships crews, (sorry guys the Swashbuklers characters have been filled, although i do think we should have some enemy captains and crews)
fair maidens, Lusty wenches, an inn keeper, the inn keepers wife, the local constable, his deputy, a local magistrate, a priest and a dodgy trader, oh and a king and queen... if you think of any characters let me know and i'll try to add them...

Lets Meet the Cast and characters so Far:

Swashbuckler 1 : SeeknDestroy or SND

SND's character is a very seasoned sailor, he is not a very handsome man, but, he is extremely intelligent, and that intelligence gets him the girls...

Swahbuckler 2 : Arealguy or ARG

A very handsome man, lovely to look at, never has a problem with the ladies, women swoon when he's about, he is a hunk, a gorgeous beast of a man, unfortunately, he is as thick as two short planks, he is clumsy, slighly dimwitted and on occasions, quite stupid...

Fair Maiden 1 : SummerUK

A beautiful woman, desired by men all over the world, she is intelligent, clever, witty and knows more than she lets on..
She is in the secret employ of the King as a spy, her feminine wiles and pure cunning ensures she always gets the job done....

The story so far........



Atlantic ocean, 1754,

Two ships battling high seas and ferocious storms, on the poopdeck of the "Connectus", stood SND, his long flowing golden locks emanating from the sides and back of his head, while on top of his head, his left to right combover had succumbed to the wind and the hair, like individual fingers were now waving from side to side its motion like a cobra when charmed by the movement of a charmers flute, hypnotising and yet a little disturbing....

Captain SND looked over out of the port side of his ship and saw the handsome, proud, extremely handsome figure of ARG on the bow of his ship the mighty "Singulus." His loud manly laugh taunting the tempest, and for a fleeting moment SND thought to himself "curse your rugged good looks ARG, you and your full head of hair,you perfect teeth and your deep commanding voice" "If only this storm would but teach you a lesson, i would cackle with
mirth and delight .... and have something to tell the boys back at home in the pub".

It was as if the Great Neptune himself heard the quiet thoughts of SND, for at that very moment a great wave suddenly lifted the Singulus, throwing ARG overboard, managing to grab a rope ARG was swung out and away from the ship, the ship rolled and ARG was swung back towards the deck, but he was too low, there was a sickening 'thud' as ARG's manly body hit the side of the Singulus, the ship rolled again, and out he swung, then back towards the ship with a thud, SND was sure that on the fifth thud he heard ARG calling for his mother...

SND did not cakle with mirth but instead quietly laughed and uttered a single word....."Numpty"...

great so far bro.... but you forgot about my trusty, yet thieving ferret (Wilbur) who's always stealing my damn compass (which explains why i always get lost in the high seas)

yeah but your the brains of the outfit, so you always know where we're going even by dead reckoning....

well true that... but due to Wilbur... i always get us there in a roundabout way.... which explains why we always find ourselves in remote locales saving fair maidens and fighting evil doers....

Ok i'll write him in... anyone else?

im not sure that he wants in... but i think Gemini would make a good second mate/enforcer.... kind of the brute outspoken type...
