i think it is very important to stay abreast of the goings on in the world around us. but i have trouble with mainstream media, and am wary of agenda's behind the headlines. a reliable international news source like the bbc is always great to get a relatively unbiased perspectiveconversing

I agree. Although I consider myself a proud conservative, I find it hard to follow some of our right-leaning media. I dont need to be told what I want to hear(thats what moms are for).

Truthfully, Im disgusted with the whole conversation in general. We seem to be reciting talking points from Glen Beck and Rachel Maddow to support our arguments, which is just misinformed by both sides.

I grew up and lived most of my life on Long Island, New York...so trust me I know a few liberals and i understad the sterotypes the coastal states have of Middle America and the salt of the earth type people(even if its wrong). But these are the regions and the type of people the make up a large portion of the Tea Party Movement, so alot of people see it as a simple, rasicist primitive movement.

As I said before I am a conservative. I want the govt as far away from me and take as little from me as possible. But even I look at some of the people and the rallies and it seems too much for me, even if i agree with it. Sarah Palin and others in her mold, though maybe fiscally and politically in some cases i can relate too, just dont necessarilly do it for me.

You are blowing this way out of proportion.
Much of that was satire to get the point accross. It is not the beginning of a racial movement..OMG
Is that really the best you got?

Anything that might have been racial is not the face of the party. You just don't get it.confused
