RayfromUSA: You are just sooooo conspiracy minded.

Companies like Koch represent traditional American values and are the wave of the future and represent the only hope of rebuilding the US economy.

Koch has used innovative fair labor practices such as employing the mentally handicapped for menial jobs, thus freeing other more capable employees for downsizing. Such innovative measures along with their application of the Chinese model for company/employee relations has enabled them to become America's most highly competitive company in the world market.

cherryrae: its all about the financial investors, er backers, being able to get what they want to advance their profitabliity.

its very simple. get the dumbest candidates, and we, the backers, will have more chance of getting what we want passed, as there is less of a critical eye holding us accountable to the american people.

"Critical eye" in America??????

That's what our boys fought and died in distant oil lands to prevent.

Thank God for a free country where multinational corporations don't have to fear Little Brother's all-seeing "critical eye".

I agree. One of America's most time honored traditions.

Pollution Rights is a big issue.

That's what Cap & Trade and/or Carbon Taxation is all about...
preserving Pollution Rights for industry while, at the same time, engaging consumers and/or taxpayers to bear the inevitable collateral costs that pollution generates.

This frees capital allowing industry to develop new and more cost effective polluting technology.

What else can they do with aircraft fuel but pour it into waterways. Lesser companies would burn the fuel in aircraft engines, but these guys buy it just to pollute waterways.

Makes you long for the good old "traditional values" days when the streets were full of horse dung, the air was full of coal fumes and there weren't any filthy waste treatment plants because sewage went straight into the rivers and lakes like God intended.

LOL, you know it was quite some time ago that I realized she reminded me of this really adorable blonde that used to work in the same office I did. Just a really beautiful young lady. So gorgeous I thought she was completely out of my league and was absolutely delighted when she asked to sit next to me at lunch one day and struck up a conversation with me. After asking me my nationality and then asking me if Cuba was close to Iran because Cubans and Iranians had black hair and dark skin....... well, let's just say that the blush was off the rose. So beautiful and yet...... well, it's just a shame. That's all.

Yes, despite determined efforts to defeat it, greed will always prevail and sewage will always make it's way downstream to the ocean. It's a question of manifest destiny.

Yes, if there's a turd in the creek, it'll end up in the ocean. Whether it's bear scat, deer scat, dog scat or human.... water flows downhill, so you're dead right about it making it's way downstream. But then again, that was stating the obvious. How you worked "greed" into it wasn't quite so clear, though.

johnaustin123: Greetings amahlala

I have already posted this on grade Obama A,B,C,D,or F.

This my be of interest for you:

Obama Care is an issue within itself. The majority of the US people want to repeal the new Law because it’s already driving up health care costs. The US health care system is still the best in the world. (If it’s not broke, then don’t fix it) Like Nancy Pelosi and President Obama want to do.

Allow me to give you a secret about health care in the USA? You do not need insurance for health care, but you must be diligent and perusing when you do this. If you go into a Hospital, you will receive a large bill. If you talk to the Administrator’s at the Hospital and Doctor offices, they will automatically give you a 40% discount on your bills through Charity. Income in most cases is not considered. The Hospital and Doctors will put you on a small monthly payment plan and in most cases will forgive and extend your bill if you are not able to pay at that timeIt is more expensive to insure yourself for health care than to go without insurance in the long run..

Where does Charity come from? The wealthy who contribute for income tax reasons. This is why we must extend the Bush Tax Cuts to the upper class. We can balance the expense by cutting our deficit and limiting earmarks as a start. Eliminate charity, and then you tax the poor who can’t afford it.

That is why the biggest European health insurance companies allow a world wide covering, except USA and Canada.

WHat are you frickin' nuts?

Just so that things don't get toooooooooo crazy here.
I think it's time to expose this thread as a lot of BS.

Koch Industries, probably doesn't even exist.

I know you can find all sorts of websites about it.
But the more you read the more you will realize it's all BS.

For some, this kind of scam may be their idea of "humor" and I admit it can be fun for a little while.

But, at the same time, such BS derails serious discussion of serious issues.

And seeing the obvious enormous amount of time, effort, and expense involved in mounting a scam of this magnitude, with well done totally BS sites all over the internet, I would be willing to bet that this scam springs from the same source as other, less humorous scams such as 911, Socialization, killer epidemics, WMDs, etc.

Greed is what frees the untreated turd or glob of pollution to start its journey downstream unhindered.

After more investigation, I admit Koch is real.

But that makes things all the worse because all the BS is real.

Imagine a company with 300 oil spills in a single state being entrusted to police itself under a "self regulatory" policy
etc etc etc

I've found tons of similar BS associated with this discussion, and it emanates from what appear to be valid, albeit ludicrous websites.

I can't help but think that it involves an ingenious disinformation campaign to derail real discussion of issues with a flood of such elaborate BS so that people can't tell what is real and what is not.
