JSuburbia: Really? Governor Rick Perry whom is a Tea Party supporter and also someone whom the Tea Party supports, endorsed the idea of using US troops to make incursions into Mexico to help fight the drug war
They had 28,000 people killed in northern Mexico. In three years. Sounds like a war to me, JS. What does it sound like to you?
So better a war in the US? Or a war in Mexico?
Heck my great grandy was down in Mexico twice....once chasing Pancho Via....the other in the Mexican/American war. Just don't drink the war. Stay to the tequila.....

You misunderstand my post, and in a sense, I should have clarified...I personally support military action against the cartels...However...if the Tea Party doctrine is not to invade neighboring countries....By saying except Mexico...however, they are already making exceptions.

ttom500: They knew. How can I say that? The concentration camps were guarded by their family members that were in the German Army or Air Force. They got leaves and they came home.
Most every young German wore a military uniform. Those that were assigned to the camps....would get leaves. When they went home they would talk about it. So they knew.
So, you're saying it was an organized conspiracy by an entire countrys citizenry to hide the camps?

So what is the problem? If you going after the cartels...you are going to do joint operation with the Mexican Federalies with US troops. Perry is just being direct here.
But is that a technical invasion of Mexico? No, because the US forces will be invited in by the Mexican government. The cartels will say it is a invasion. Hugo Chavez will say it is. Russia and China will likely both say it is.
Really it depends on what party is in the White House. If is DEM....then most of the world give them a OK to send in troops. If it is REP/Tea party then the US is expanding its empire.

I am saying that 1000s of German guards came home on leave from duty assignment at the camps. They would tell their friends and families what was going on inside. Then they tell other in the German community.
You don't hide 6m people being taken to camps or what was going on in them.
You may not know what is going on in GITMO on a moment by moment factual accounting. But you know that waterboarding went on there....yes?
News gets out even in the tightest controlled media. Word of mouth....and is repeated....

So you are indeed saying it was a conspiracy by the people of Germany to hide the camps? It's pretty much a yes or no question.

Then we do what Obama is doing now. Sit and wait on the border and try to make interdictions.
Iraq and Mexico are two different deals. They both threaten the security of the US. But in different ways. What is happening in Northern Mexico is a horrible and tragic.
Ask the majority of the Americans, and we don't want it here. But it is not the Mexican gov't that is the threat. But well organized gangs and cartels. In Iraq, it was the Iraq government of Sadam Hussien that was the threat.

ah, see, personally I think we need someone that is willing to take some initiative when the welfare of Americans is at stake...Would rather see our forces fighting drug cartels in Mexico than in Iraq at least...They were and are a bit more dangerous than Iraq.
