The US does not have a statue of limitations on murder. 7 years limit on most other crimes. But not murder.

fearlessmophism: Is Libya and Gadaffi all that bad and the whole world have its citizens living there, and all still got one or two stake in there. If all these leaders are bad and corrupt, why allow them to invest in your country at first. Now all is talking about asset freeze. Whats the difference between a killer or a thief and the one who supplies and keeps weapons and looted items for him. It all adds up to one question WHO IS FOOLING WHO? Politics am meant to understand is all about interest protection.
Gaddafi has been tolerated for years by all head of state for the simple reason that you dont choose your neighbours/business partners, you can only deal with them.(Probably only the Reagan's administration back in the 80's was openly hostile to him since ordered his house bombing)
The turning point happened few days ago when instead of allowing peaceful demonstrators to manifest in the streets ,he ordered his army to shoot his people and other unacceptable atrocities while shutting up internet,tv to avoid media coverage of the ongoing massacre.
And the funny thing is a few Africans here have to courage to say is not a bad guy.You are the worst supporter of your own land.

Now... you know that history is saturated with the blood of the innocents.. and the guilty.. your way or my way has had no bearing on the spilling and many times because of one god or another or by whatever ideology is floating around.
I'd rather believe at least in a reincarnation we could remember, so we really would learn from our mistakes because we couldn't forget... but we are cursed to making the same ones over and over and over again. There is wrong and right in all of us, chaos and hope for something better.
Oddly enough when we have peace we turn little slights into mountains and begrudge our neighbors, when we have wars we unite into sides and suddenly become 'the people' who see the sameness in us... makes no sense, but there it is.
It's a circle.
