Well, I've been to your paradise (Libya) and given what I saw there, I don't blame them for leaving. You can sugar coat a turd and it's still a turd.
Merriweather: Hi ah...Yes, now I am confused... in one post you think Gadaffi can do what he wants... but in this post.. you talk about the sadness of a mother having lost her family...
What am I missing..
No mother should have to lose family, but then again, there was no need if Gadaffi heeded the people and left quietly?? which of course he was never going to do.
I am not having a go... I am just trying to see your point of view.. altho.. I am having huge difficulty with this... Can you not see that fighting for your rights will be introducing a change that hopefully will survive .. and in everyone's life... A right to be happy is essential. ??
thank you, what i mean is that pushing Gadaffi out by force may work but what will normal woman who lost all family in the struggle gain? what will be her happiness? and how will she see the new regime?
emmaline: what if no one ever fought for any rights ever?
sometimes you just have to fight for what you feel is right
and that my friend is a part and parcel of being democratic.this is not an issue of the west enforcing democracy.
it is the libyan people wanting it for themselves
yes it is right of the people to seek for change but not by violence. as it may appear to many of us yes it is the Libyans who want it for themselves but the west sold that format to them. I don’t mean that democracy is bad but the CRAZY side of it should stop. most importantly the west, our teachers who thought us about this (CRACY or ZY whatever) and sold the DEMO to us very costly give us all the instruction manuals and help us to use it well. Can the American or UK,France citizens enter street with arms to protest against anything?

but dahlink, they were peaceful, and not armed in the beginning
matchbox: im sorry to tell you but your blood brother is the no 1 butcher of north africa
it is good you know so please avoid begin butchered and pls tell my brothers in the streets to go back home, we have other ways to change leadership in Africa, what they are doing is a new way of legalizing terrorism and not liberation. Libyans should be careful and not to jump from frying pan to fire i am so scared that terrors who wanted to use Gaddafi for so many years but did not succeed will use this opportunity to change Libya to new Pakistan.
Johnwain: Look man you look rather confused.I'll put you in the picture:The guy you are supporting has opened fire on his coutrymen and is slaughtering hundreds of humans, women ,kids included. That's all we need to know.End of the matter. As to you clearly you are not Indian as you profile says and clearly have a quite confused idea of what basic freedoms and rights are.
the opposition who started the protest should be responsible to the whole life lost.

Somolia is still a mess, full of pirates and war lords like back in the day before the place became a colony.
Hopefully the Egyptian and Libyan armies will still keep the Jihadists hunkered down quiet.
Have you seen any evidence of an increase in Al-Qaeda activity?

yes their presence in sahara is more than in Afghan mountains. i have tour that desert in person not just read on book, north Africa may soon become a new battle ground for war against terror. many leader is that region has be battle such activities for long and now that the whole place is on fire what will it be. the Europe and US should know this now cos it is we Africans that will feel the pain when it starts.

Mut be hard to hide in a flat desert though. The drones would catch them in the open and kill them.

i empathise with your concern, but it is empowering for the libyans to have as they will.
they cannot worry about other areas when they are so desperate themselves
