RayfromUSA: That's an interesting thought Boban. Seeing how the Libyan thing is playing out I had been assuming that Mubarak's ousting was a CIA project to set the stage for a big push to topple governments across north Africa and replace them with a new set of globalist-oriented puppets.
But you may be right. Maybe the overthrow of Mubarak was a surprise to the CIA and the push to topple Gadaffi might be a desperate attempt for the US to avoid getting pushed out of the region altogether.
Gadaffi is relatively friendly to the West compared to what he was. What logic would there be in America removing Gadaffi when the protestors despise America?
RDM59: Apart from supporting terrorism .... IRA finance and Lockerbie Bombing to name just a few, he is despised by 90% of his people ..... he sounds a real great guy ....

RDM59: Yes, heard that the other day ! Is it just a 'look what we can do' sort of statement being made ... not sure .....
as it's been said, things are coincidental aren't they? If one of those ships sinks in the canal, it would be blocked to US warships. That's something to think about...

Yes, but only fairly recently when he saw what happened to Iraq and Afganistan, he wanted to make sure he didn't go the same way as them so he promised the west to stop his terrorist support. In return for that commitment to peace they lifted the trade embargoes, forgave his past atrocities but also got a nice slice of the oil exploration and sent in BP and Shell.

Exactly
So you and I agree that it would be nonsensical for Western governments to now wish the removal of Gadaffi?

If you'll look up at my posts above.
Libya was falsely accused for Lockerbie. CIA and Mossad cooperated to produce fake witnesses and fake evidence.
Same for other supposed terrorist attacks supposed committed by Libya but really committed by Mossad such as the bombing of the club in Germany.
Libya did indeed give some money to the IRA. But then so did many Irish people in the US and Britain. We must admit that Britain illegally occupied Ireland for a long time. I can't say that I really support Britain's right to keep Northern Ireland. It's not my fight so I'll stay out of it, but its ridiculous to claim that Britain is the good guys and the IRA are the bad guys. It's a sort of civil war and a tragedy. But there are no "good guys" involved.
The blame for all of the violence past and present ultimately goes to Britain for having invaded Ireland in the first place and for setting up a British colonial presence on Irish soil. Gadaffi's support of the IRA is certainly less evil than the US's toppling of governments and genocidal wars in central America, Southeast Asia, and now Central Asia.
All war is evil, not just that which is so designated by the western press or the US government. If giving money to the IRA is evil, so was financing the overthrow of the Allende government in Argentina.
For the west to point its fingers at Gadaffi is really a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

A small nuclear devise would have that shifted in no time ....
Plenty US ships in the South China Seas at present I believe.

Next you will tell us that Gadaffi..who is mowing down his people like sheaves with attack helos....was just being kind to the west...to place the Lockerbie bomber into the hands of the British gov't...so that the CIA had a cover.
Ray the conspriracy theories only go so far...........

I know that very few countries are innocent of their underhanded skulduggery. But the purpose of Gaddifi's involvement with the IRA was purely to keep a thorn of provocation pressed firmly into the side of the UK Government and it's policy.

You're right that Gadaffi is no longer a threat to the west. He never was really. But he would make a dandy good patsy to blame for an invasion of the area. And if Egypt is lost, the US will be desperate to find someplace to set up a base.
