Our 'democracy' has also turned into a dictatorship... which is why d_simple makes fun of the word, because he's seen how the 'ideal' can be twisted to fit many different concepts of rule, that have nothing to do with a real democracy.

It is unfolding whether the Libyans are lazy or not, whether Mubarak was the lesser of other evils or not... it's happening now and a it's a little late to be analyzing Mubaraks good or bad points because the dice have already been thrown.

Now it's a question of him letting go and having enough honor to stop killing his own people.

Point being, we should consider taking care of our own housecleaning before we start giving lessons in someone elses.

In this particular case I say let's let other governments give advice on 'Democracy' to the revolting middle easterners, not the USA.
