tomcat1968: Funny the whole world wants democracy but when it comes to place like Palestine Western countries argue its the wrong government. Hamas one fair and square as will other islamic based parties in the new democracies emerging in the M East and the west wont look at the people who elcted them Just scared of the so called muslim Threat and im acatholic. Good luck to the People of Libya get rid of Gaddafi the Butcher but alow them to elect who the wish not who americans or us Brits want. End of rant.
Ask anyone behind closed doors in Gaza if they regret voting in Hamas, and you will find them saying they did. Life is better under an Israeli government.
Paldi5: It is illegal to solicit money from any of us CS folk. No matter how revolting you are, rules are rules!
You should seek employment among the ranks of the telemarketers. Every other day someone from Bangladesh or India calls me to see if I want a home alarm system or a free trip to Cancun. There are 24 hours in a day so you can appreciate the growth opportunities. It's a big business and can pay you the $250 a month you seek, if you are good!
ahem....ok..so, do you want a home alarm system or a free trip to cancun?

Israel always opine wthat they are the only democracy in the middle east wonder what will happen whhen ther are arb demcracies they will cack themselves as the US will not need its 51st state then will they!!!!!!

The two choices (Hamas or Fattah) in the local elections in the villages were both pretty bleak. It seems to have come down to a vote for corruption or religious (non)corruption.
I don't think Israel wants to rule Gaza, at least it would seem so since they had no candidates running in the election. All the potential Israeli candidates for Gaza mysteriously left town.
Paldi5: No  you need to work more on your script! ha ha
How is Bangladesh doing. Are the people relatively happy? Was splitting from India a good idea?
we are doing better but people in bangladesh are generally happy and content with whatever little they have. But we have one problem: for last 20 years, both the prime minister and the leader of the opposition party in parliament are women, and, boy o boy, they just hate each other like hell! i think they are just jealous of each other....one just doesn't like it when the other becomes the prime minister. But the current primi minister maybe jealous of her opponent because she(the leader of the opposition in parliament)is much more beautiful looking than her(the prime minister)
Paldi5: Occasionally I see a reference to the Protocols of Zion. (Which I know almost nothing about, never having read any of it.)
But I wonder if you could call your unwritten manifesto "The Protocols of the Multinationals."
I wonder if the heads of these giant companies and the bankers got together and decided to overthrow all the dictators in the Arab world? The next plot twist might be another super oil spill to distract our attention????
Ha ha, just joking with you dear. No offense meant. I actually agree with most of what you say. The Multis are too powerful and should perhaps be broken into smaller chunks.
Istanbul: Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has barricaded himself in a compound in capital Tripoli, a former diplomat said on Tuesday. "He is now in Bab al-Azizia - an area that is six square kilometres large," Abdulmoneim al-Honi, the representative of Libya in the Arab League who resigned in protest over the regime's brutal crackdown on demonstrators, told DPA.
"Besides this base, there are now only two barracks, held by Gaddafi and his followers. One of them is Al-Saadi, a barrack to the east of Sirte (Gaddafi's home town). The rest of the country is now controlled by the youth."
Meanwhile, a former aide to Gaddafi said the Libyan leader would keep fighting and not be swayed to enter into dialogue with opposition protesters.

Israeli Arabs do have a say. They are in the Judiciary, have Parliament members in the Israeli Parliament, have positions of authority etc. Arabs under Palestinian Authority rule - well that is up to their Palestinian Authority which is far more oppressive to them.
