LiLee: Sorry to hear your having trouble with you knee Serene. Is it a muscle strain or something else?

Speedy recovery wishes to you

Thanks ladies wave

It appears to be a cartilage tear, the doctor's thinking surgery is probably on the cards (if it's not improved after a week or so in the splint) but for the moment I'm comfy with a stiff leg lol and a couple weeks off work.

Gee hope they don't need to operate knee surgery is quiet painful and it can take a bit to recuperate, hopefully you will heal with your rest as boring as it will be sitting around it just might pay off and you won't need surgery , fingers crossed for you serene hug bouquet

A couple of weeks off work. Lucky you. But with 99 differnt channels on tv, isn't it boring?

I had a cyst removed from the back of my knee and spent the next 12 months recovering from a botched operation. Bit before we could sue the doctors. Spent most of that time either in bandages or plaster from ankle to hip. Every week up to the hospital to look at it. Brother's mate was into tvs then and managed to get me one. We had a bicycle wheel set up as an aerial. But tv was not 24/7 then. And Mum would go to the library every second day to get me something "new" to read.

Son-in-law was a rugby league player and did his cartilege in. Only took 3 weeks off after the op. But the drugs he had to takefrustrated He was off his head.

Serene, hope you will have someone to take care of you after the op.

Well here I sit leaving in roughly an hour to go to Ashford Hospital and see Bensons Radiology . Have to fast for 2 hrs from 3.40 my appointment is at 5.40 . And it will take 2 hours to have my second CT Scan and my first MRI !!

Then hopefully they will know if I have tumours or not !!
And yes Serene its costing me heaps and I get some of it back !!
But its faster than the public hospital if I do need an operation or heavens forbid chemo it will be public !!!
