Merriweather: I am glad that you are looking after yourself. I cant predict the future either, but if you get really bored, and think you will be off work... for a long time...

I suppose you might as well enjoy your time off and do all the things that make you happy.... like your art ...

I hope you find something that will occupy your mind, and not allow the worry thoughts in...

Look for me at next year's Archibald Prize grin laugh

serene56: I'm wearing a splint curls which immobilises my leg - I took it off briefly to drive to the doctor on Thursday.

While I was out I went to the supermarket but my knee was very sore and kept locking up so I did what I had to do and came home.

I'm coping ok, really, but I'm also being realistic in that I could be in for a long haul on this one; even when I get to a specialist, if I need surgery there's apparently up to a 12 month wait for public hospital treatment.

So I've spent hours this arvo going through nearly 4 years worth of payslips to see what leave I have .. obviously I'm unfit for work as I am and will make decisions regarding my future once I get a diagnosis.

gee whiz Serene leave it in the splint doh
Never had to wear a splint wore a knee brace for 2 yrs for support !!
And need I say this been there done that waiting for a specialist on 3 different occasions !! Well 4 I went to see the specialist with pain on the outside of my knee . Had to fight the specialist to get an MRI that my GP referred me to him to get !! Love public hospitals .
Oh the longest wait was under the Liberals funny that !!

serene56: I'm ok thanks curls Well I have no news in that I went to GP for referral to ortho specialist and the guy he referred me to has no appointments until November!!!

Called the GP back yesterday to ask for other ortho guys and he's not in on Fridays sooo..

Plan is to call him on Monday then call whoever he suggests .. I imagine there will be a wait for whoever I need to see so I will get an extension on my medical certificate.

Nothing's changed, I've had no treatment, and I'm unable to work until I do.

Just heard on the news a female Acrobat of Cirque Du Soleil plunges 15 m from a suspended wire in front of a live audience in Las Vegas sad flower she died on the way to hospital. She had 10 years experience and a young mother of two so sad.

It is the first time in 30 years of Cirque De Soleil has had an accident with a death happening. I saw these remarkable an amazing entertainers when they came to Perth a few years ago.

Yep you have got that right apparently it was over the theft of a few bags of lollies , a woman she was chased by the security guards she jumped into her car with two of her young kids drove her car up on the lawn verge right at the shopping centre doors and ran over a young girl employee. Apparently the security guards then tackled her to the ground , the mother of the accuse thief says to reporters "Yeah we steal so what everyone steals" doh and these blokes have smashed my daughters head in blah blah doh

Anyhow the poor girl employee who was run over was rushed by ambulance plus the accused was too I think with supposed injuries.

That is all I know ATM I had to see it on foxtel Perth news as being petty crime I guess the investigation is on going and police are looking at the security camera's.

Unbelievable doh

UP Date:

The poor woman is one of the security guards employee has serious leg injuries and is in hospital and there has been an arrest on the driver of who deliberately ran her down. The other security guard was spayed in the eyes with deodorant spay he is OK I believe so it is now a serious theft and attempted attack sigh what is this world coming to. sad flower [/color
