mickyj63: I wish I could you help Serene . I understand the physical pain as I live with it daily not as bad as it was . As I need a new knee but wont have the operation.I did have a wife when I had my 3 ops but she wasn't really there so I understand alone !
Work wont keep your job open that's a bummer shows I must have a better boss even if I don't think so!

So all I can offer is my shoulder over the net dear lady and friend

Michael I value your friendship, you know that hug

I'm optimistic and feel that my problem is short-term, my concerns are more for you and I hope, sincerely, that yours will be too bouquet

Whatever happens for me work-wise, c'est la vie, better things are to come cheers

Merriweather: heheheh... yeah, I know... and I am miss logical... I don't know that he always likes that... lol

but no... I don't mind that you chat... and there is naught to hide anyways...

We do not agree on everything.. lol... but then, that's OK too.. for eg.

see what you think...

He doesn't care for soccer...says its a thug game..
I don't mind soccer.. if I have to watch a ball game, then soccer is my pick...

another eg..

what are your thoughts on this..

I said I prefer the front bar crowd because for me.. the honesty of the roughness is present when they enter..its present when they leave... I can get a good measure of who is what.. from the first couple of mins..

Sire prefers the dressed up and la di dah crowd of a good quality club..

I disagree, because those well dressed up people I find can be, after a few sauces or more than a few sauces... worse than a front bar yobbo..

They start the night out all la di dah, then turn into drunken, leering ijits... and I get all confused... because it throw me outta sync...

What say you ???? and its OK to disagree...

Yeah yeah, I know laugh

He's a pragmatist, but I think, in time, he will open his mind to other thoughts and ideas, given your influence wink

I'm a grassroots person like you, I prefer to mix with people from all walks of life and somehow find I gain insight into life from that confused

Peeps with $$$ don't impress me, they rarely seem to be happy in the truest sense of the word .. they fall hard when it's all taken away but those of us who have found happiness in life from natural sources tend to prevail cool

Yes, I tend to, because of work really, see a mix of everyone... and as long as I keep an open mind, I do learn where I do not want to be... and often, that is the key...

As for ' all fur coat and no knickers" nah, not interested.. laugh

Merriweather: Atta girl.... good attitude...

Years ago, when I was really fed up with the jewellery industry.. sick of been robbed, etc.. and sick of customers... I went into work one day... and said.. that's it... 2 weeks and I am going.

I had no plans, no ideas.. but as I sat home for a couple of days, I got this idea about going back to admin work..

I went to the local conveyance and asked for six months of work experience just to get me back into the goings on in the admin world.

WOW... was it hard.. YES it was.. I could not have pushed myself more... it was the most stress job out.. But at the end of it all, I was able to go to apply for admin jobs with agencies.. and I was able to achieve high test scores, so that is how it happened for me...

I just could not COULD NOT do one more customer sale thingo... I had had it up to my neck with intolerance and feral customers.. so I left.. and it was a while, but it worked...

I don't recommend conveyancing tho... its legal, and damned hard. but it was the break I needed to pull my socks up..

Yeah I dunno merri, the challenge, as far as sales, went out of it for me a long time ago.

Used to be a craft, now it's about discounting and not much else...

I found it challenging and stimulating when I managed businesses, got 'em off the ground, as well as selling - when I became purely a salesperson a few years back and sat in the background with ideas and suggestions that would never see the light of day, well, that's probably when I started just working for the money.

And that was never gonna fly sad flower

curly28: Sometimes when these unfortunate things happen to us there is a reason behind it ATM it's a pain being off your feet but when you have your Op and recover , there is a new outlook on life and there is a way better job waiting for you.

Years ago in the 80's I had to have an OP and it put me off work for a while 6 months to be exact and while I was recuperating I discovered a talent I didn't know I had I couldn't get about real good as I was so sore for a long time so I decided to plant lawn runners down my very long dirt driveway it was a very slow progress a little bit of planting each day with a little bit of sunshine beaming down on me I had plenty of time so quiet enjoyed it.

When I finished the job it looked fantastic which inspired me to start up gardening so I place an add in local paper & once I was well enough and went back to my boring job while the add was running , all of a sudden I was swamped with calls for gardening work to the point I had so much work I threw the other job in after 6 months as couldn't cope with both jobs. Within the year my business boomed into a Landscape Gardening trade I had 6 people working for me it was amazing I was happy fit and out and about.

Motto to my story serene while you are off work and recovering think about what you think you may want to do in the work force job satisfaction is the ultimate to your lifestyle and happiness maybe you might want to do a course while you have the time to study Positive thinking
