I can meditate for hours, with less than one breath per minute...
But, my basic state of mind, is meditation; and it's been that way since I was a child.
I spent a lot of time locked in closets before I could walk, and tied in bed when I learned how to walk.
That's when and how I learned to meditate.
After I began practicing meditation, those memories flooded back; and I realized, There's never been a time in my conscious life, when I wasn't in a meditative state.
mykingdomforanam: I stopped practicing meditation.

bodleing2: In recent years years extensive studies have proven beyond don't that meditation, providing it's practised on a daily basis, has many benefits to health and well being. Mindfulness classes are now available on the NHS in the UK due to the proven benifits of this form of therapy. Have you ever tried, or do you practice meditation?
Yes., I practice meditation daily. It has lowered my High Blood Pressure. I have even stopped taking BP medication.

Welcome back Bode I try my best to be mindful but there are times when it's a real challenge. As far as meditation goes, that is also a challenge for me so I don't even try anymore.
Kaybee50: I find it challenging to quiet my mind long enough to focus on meditation. I will not forget however, how you provided me a tool a few years ago to help me try to evade panic attacks when my anxiety took ahold of me. I have passed that along to a couple of friends since then, who also experienced such moments. Thank you Bod.
Hiya KB Does the tool have anything to do with the four agreements you shared with me a few years ago?

Thanks intrigued, What stands out to me in your post is the word "try." Best not to try doing anything, other than maybe focusing on your breath without any expectations. Thoughts will come, that's the nature of mind, but just let them be and return to the breath. Don't expect anything to happen, just sit quiet and enjoy the stillness. Just be a human 'being", instead of a human doing.
