The fear that someone might take my money. And more than it's money in general, money doesn't love you and money won't run away with a buddy and now we value this indifference in people. Not sure if we fear intimacy or that intimacy can lead to love which often ends up with lts of pain and hurt.No intimacy = no hurt/pain

It's interesting that some people read intimacy and think on an emotional level, and others on a physical level.

as you said intimacy is a connecting of souls and it is also a connection of energy. So even when you part they still stay there for longer it is why some people are way harder to get over than others. Some become a part of you.
