Travelling experience makes you look cosmopolitan... or at least that's the idea some have...
Many travel to Asia, it's kind of fashion..."spiritual" trips or just cheap and exotic destination...
Looking for a way to raise your adrenaline to me is a way to deal with your loneliness and feeling of self importance...
There's always something "wrong" behind the forced desire to risk your life...
If you travel with people you love it doesn't matter where you are going...any place will be a great place to visit...and you won't want to show every step of it on FB or Instagram...
I don't care if you have already been there, but if you want to go there...with me...

One2note: They are well travelled, as though that makes them more interesting?
So you've travelled to many countries !
So what , you swam with dolphins , or you've ridden an elephant in Africa , or you conquered Mount Everest !
How does that relate to being an ideal partner?
One thing I've learned by traveling is that fellow travelers are generally more interesting people than those who sit on the couch ...........on dating sites all day.

Well summed up - and they will talk about it to whom it may concern, rather than broadcast it to Lounge lizards. cheers

MiguelUknow: Try leaving the comfort of the luxury resorts Krema. I've met a lot of people from Europe who get a full month off from work to travel. They save all year to be able to afford it. Most of them get off the beaten path and go into the jungles and the mountains. That's not to say all travelers are interesting, but as the saying goes "All who wander are not lost."
I travelled mostly for work Miguel, and the places were far from luxury resorts, trust me... laugh
The highest adrenaline level I experienced was when our Jeep got under the bullets of a drug dealing gang in the middle of the desert near Qatar...and the other time in the luxury neighbourhood of "Model town" in Lahore, Pakistan...bullets...again...

It means they were "rode hard and put away wet" which translates to: they are well used up, best to skip those profiles gotta go

They're basically trying to say "I need a partner in fun" not a partner with baggages who will create more responsibilities on them. So,when they say I like to travel, doesn't mean they will cut airplane tickets for you , they simply want to paint themselves rich and outgoing.

it's been my experience that some folks develop a real appreciation for others through the experience of travel.
growing up in Vancouver, we do develop 'tolerance' for different cultures because there's so much diversity here, and different ways of doing things. always more than one path up the mountain. but through travel, 'appreciation' for those differences often develops.
it doesn't make one 'better', but does contribute to one's awareness of others.

i'm not saying it's the only route to develop a bit of awareness, but it is certainly one way.

One2note: I assume most people have travelled, sometime in their life, some once or twice a year in some cases , but I just don't see the relevance of putting that fact on a dating profile.
It doesn't impress a man , the same way a semi naked photo wouldn't impress a woman.
perhaps view it as someone letting you know what they are interested in.
that sounds pretty reasonable to me for a dating site profile....dunno

Travel does indeed broaden the mind. I travel quite a lot these days mainly with a site called Workaway. I meet many, mainly young people through this site, most of them continuously travelling from job to job around the world.
What is very apparent, is these young people display maturity beyond their years, clearly due to their travelling experiences.
It's like it's often said, life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Hey John,

I think it is merely just wanting to find some compatibility in shared interests.

"They" like travelling and are ideally looking for a partner who is open to those possibilities as well.

As far as broadening one's mind, as in travelling, I find there are experiences we can learn in our own back yard similarly.

I think it's just an arrogant way of saying you can afford an exotic holiday .

My philosophy is , "we make a living by what we earn , but we make a life by what we give" .

I suspect the majority of CSer's are on their phones.

I think Ebay crossed the 50% of users being on mobile a couple years ago.

If it was , wouldn't people post a photo of one in their profile pics?

Well... When you failed to find the ideal partner, you can always choose the well-travelled one.

Or you can read their profile, discover something you don't like, thank them for being so open and move on.

To less open one :D
