Her Mother was abusive towards her but she still felt strongy about her. She died in a car crash when Sinead was 18.
The song she is most known for, Nothing Compares 2 U, was written by Prince but Sinead claimed she sung it in memory of her mother and the tear she wept in the video was real, brought on by these lines....

Sadly it's happening alot here, there is a search for a woman missing from Donabate area here....its almost like yes Shane died yesterday,old news, and now looks like this woman MAY have taken her life today.
I wonder why Covid takes such significance over a widespread and longer standing issue like mental health and suicide.
Hope Sinead also gets the care and help she so badly needs too.

After admitting herself into hospital , Sinead has apologised to the authorities on Twitter.
The singer said she was hasty in blaming others for her sons suicide & takes full responsibility for his death .
She said that her son spoke to her a month earlier saying how he was plotting his death .
I hope this clears things up for you , as far as my reasoning for her bad parenting skill having caused his mental Heath issues.
Just to clarify, this is not a victory for me but a proof that you are ignorant in acknowledging why children develop mental health issues & that you argue just for the sake of being right .

You sound like the perfect father! I am sure your kids would say you are/were the perfect dad. I just love it when parents say they are the perfect parents as if their child/children aren't the ones to make that determination. Only a child can attest to their parent's aptitude, not the parent.
Many kids these days who are suffering from suicidal ideations and attempting suicide are doing so because of gender identity and pressure from social media. Saw 9 kids today on one floor and they all endorse suicidal ideations which for most of them was because their parents are homophobic. The problem is social media is doing a number on our kids and for some kids even when life at home is good, kids are being bullied at schools and some kids are imitating what they see on tik tok. Parents have to be more aware what their kids are doing, not that I am blaming anyone.

I do know that he was on suicide watch in Tallaght Hospital, which was the only thing I debated on.
