jac_the_gripper: Her reign and your life have been the same era.
That's right, a constant for all my life. You would have to be in your eighties to remember a time she was not our Monarch.

So because someone loathes Tom & his opinion it jumps on this thread to disrespect then put's up a thread about respect

Andrew was the Queens favourite child right up to her death

Andrew was only stripped because of pressure especially from Charles & William

Yeah go figure

RIP sweet lady bouquet

ChesneyChrist: It's a bit sad but she had a good innings and a very luxurious life, not really a tragedy. And as for Britain we have William and Kate to do a reasonable job of regal behaviour.
I absolutely agree with you thumbs up

For the life of me I can't wrap my head around the fact Charles & the Rottweiler have so much respect from people..What they did to Diana was a bloody disgrace by the lot of them except fergie

Has anyone ever heard Charles say disgusting things about people when he thought recordings weren't on?

The only way the Monarchy can be looked at as the Queen left it is if William & Kate took the helm as far as I'm concerned

Australia needs to make a move..Call a vote to become a Republic

Think you need to get your facts straight and read ALL the threads before slagging me off.

I was the first to post a thread on here about the Queen's health deteriorating and he made a disrespectful comment which is why and others pointed it back at him when he made a thread stating that she was dead [actually 2 as the first one got ignored ]

Respect is not coming on someone's thread and saying we need to get rid of the Monarchy and it's immorality when our Queen has just passed away ,which is why I made my comment.

By the way my name is Tiger Moth .

Coins, stamps, emblems...a lot will visually alter.

I've just realised the feminist aspect of having a queen and I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable reverting to the male dominated institution. I'd rather taken the symbolism of her for granted.

The Equal Franchise Act of 1928 was passed two years after the queen was born. A lot has changed for women during her lifetime and I wonder how much of that was influenced by her presence. dunno

That occurred to me, too. She was Queen for such a long time that I think we took a lot for granted having a Queen.

R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth.

I'm not a royalist and I haven't in the past liked Charles but I think he has stood the test of time.
I will respect him for going to see home the body of his sons Mother even though the Queen was against it ( what had been reported at the time).

I hope he does well in his new role.

Bassador: It must be difficult to still be living with your mother and sleeping in your little boy's bed. Do you still have to be home by 9:00 p.m.?
Home from where?? I'd say he hasn't seen daylight in years grin

We forget the pretty young woman who was thrust into being the Queen. Most of our lifetimes we saw her more mature. And at the last, everyones elderly mother or grandma. So I teared up because her death is like losing them.
She lived through so much, so many hard knocks. But, she was a constant who kept a stiff upper lip and reassured us all that things would be OK. Just like mom did.
Coming from a country that changes leaders like underwear, as do so many, it was a comfort to see the Queen, year after year, decade after decade. Rather like that familiar oak you have looked at every day.
Now Charles assumes the job he never wanted. And yet got stuck waiting most of his life to have. I guess the Queen got along with the English cow. More so than the vivacious Di. More of an age in common. So she made it that a divorcee will be Queen Consort.
I just wonder if, after a proper time, Charles abdicates for William.
Queen or King, it's a job I would NEVER want! Do this, do that, say this, say that, dont do this or that...get up now, travel here and there and there. Proper you know.scold frustrated sigh

It's nostalgia for a simpler time where you stand in a holding pen for 48 hours so as to become easily manageable in a Fawlty Towers Britain. Don't act out Basil's right on the precipice.
