In pools of changing hue, Rippling halo’s of reflected street lights, Through curtains of rain, Your eyes sparkling blue. Just standing there in the wind’s restlessness, An oasis of calm before the storm, Watching the dark clouds against a black sky, Exuding intoxicating peacefulness. Your gentle voice flies against the breeze, Calling me, Across the miles, Brought to me on the whisperings of trees. Not lonely but alone, Ever constant in my mind, A miracle, just for being, Always you, my love, my “Home”.

Hi Andrew,
Beautifully expressed...such a lovely security expressed here..."Not lonely but alone" but always that place or person that you can go to that defines "home".
Such a sweet dedication to love, which is constant, a miracle of life, we are always at home there where love dwells. "Live means to love and to be loved in turn" seems to be so true in your case. Thank you for sharing with us this tender tribute to love!

Beautiful poem, even more so because it is not clear whether it is written to a woman or to a place called home. I like the ambiguity of it coupled with the description that perfectly matches its puzzling tone. Thanks for sharing.
Home is defineatly where the heart is....that place we long for...and beckons us back....is very well reflected in your poem here...

Hi Andrew hope all goes good for you, your poem still holds it for me and your book is being passed around a poetry group I now attend. (Not lonely but alone) sounds good as does mother natures voice.

I don't know how I missed this, but it is so sweet and so endearing. "ALWAYS YOU, MY LOVE, MY HOME"
Your love one would be so eternally feeling so beautiful as she reads this beautiful dedication of a very lovely feeling.
