Purring whirring whirling soaring throttles open engine roaring large as rat, well mouse no, big as van, as house alone in house no spouse approach with caution, make tea hell its moving, ok plan B ring male friend sunday, foot ball on a bend phone ringing no reply helpless useless start to cry takes off suddenly upwards shifting still for a moment then lifting call dog to help backs off with yelp sets off again buzzing nearer from behind the curtain silhouette clearer at top of curtain, powerful, smirking moving surreptitiously, ominous lurking Give in, genuflect and pray if there is a God then make it go away no? started praying to late? give in to fear, capitulate..evacuate.
I'm going, if don't meet again, nice knowing.....

About this poem:
There is the biggest bee in the world in my kitchen...they are about the only thing that frighten me.....
empty jam jar and piece of cardboard, it should be ok, they dont like to sting unless it is last resort, they are quite placid really. I know it may worry you but it shouldnt, just try to trap it and then release

I rang an Irish friend as they are usually quite good with nature/practicalities, and he said,'coax it out'...How do you coax a bee?

All ends well-it crawled down and fell into washing up bowl.
I fear few of the creatures of earth but a bee I am not going near it. Glad you came out the one who got to stay

hi carol, unusual write, but clever, though not easy as its a scary thing when they just buzz around, mind its the wasps that i hate more...good work ..

This is a daft poem! No doubt written by a daft poet, seemingly aeons ago. Getting quite a buzz off it's resuscitation! I only afraid of Bees, wasps and humans; nothing much else bothers me.. I rescued it from the washing up bowl and put it in the garden; I did not start CPR, however.

Great poem & a clever idea to ask for help about it!

P.S.Very brave to rescue it - they're very useful Though I don't think wasps are(and the yellowjackets have a terrible temper.) Well, not too afraid of bees, but somewhat afraid of wasps, more afraid of spiders & terrified of scorpions(wouldn't rescue the last 3...but I would a snake, if it was harmless-lol)

Oh Carole...I'm smiling...in the 1980's I was rushing to leave, and a bee follwed me everywhere, and I grabbed the handle on the ranchslider...ready for a quick escape....the pain...it was waiting on the handle....I never made the appointment, had to drive across town where my doctor was waiting with an injection...I'm allergic.....fear of bees, I understand....Niah

If it was a bumble bee...I've seen those things, they are huge.
Glad you survived.
