Here’s to the outgoing year, 2010: May the good times live on in our memories, and may we learn lessons from the troubling times that will make us stronger and better than ever. Here’s to 2011: For each and every one of you, may it be filled w
One very lonely day during the holidays the first year without either of my parents I found myself writing this and one for Momma. A little sappy - what can I say :)
Another rest day bit like a holiday for most, many spend this day in praise of the Lord or with families, friends, loved ones. Many also spend the time alone with their thoughts, maybe no home, no refuge, no tangible meaning of life but we all exist, I can eat my fill but others cannot and even having faith or not life trundles on like another Sunday.

Boo! Beware! The Ghosts & Witches are coming! On Oct 31, 2018
This is something I have wanted to do since I can remember as a teenager, so I just did it and I feel good about that, and I got paddled at Heart Attack Grill too!
I have to wait and see if we have a Christmas get together. My sister and her kids have boycotted my Mom and Shane and want nothing to do with them. It's a shame because there were 24 people that came over for Christmas back in 2018, 2019 the total was 5.
Tis the Holiday season to adding weight to the belly line "Happy Holiday"

about Holloween here in the Philippines.
I have gotten many gifts over the years. I wore my sister's gift of a Galena Golf Club shirt on Christmas since she and her whole family didn't show up for Christmas. It would have added 19 people to the celebration. It was just me and a friend, my mom and brother, and my nephew who wouldn't join us as his dad was mad at him for not getting a job for over five years now.
Already watching Thanksgiving and Christmas movies. I started off with Charlie Brown's Thanksgving and also watched the best of Saturday Night Live's Best Thanksgiving sketches.
Not started yet and know what it is going to be like...lol
its like a riddle.
I miss dressing up as a sleestak from Land of the Lost or Dracula and running from house to house to get candy. My favorite as a kid was the minirolls of Life Savers.
The Ten Commandments has been on TV before Palm Sunday for as long as I can remember. My favorite scenes are when Moses is being threatened with stoning when the slaves find out they have to make their bricks without straw and later when he throws the stone tablets with the ten commandments on them and he says, "Those who will not live by the law, shall die by the law!"
I love this movie as it deals with thing that many people struggle with, gluttony lust pride covetousness anger envy, and sloth.
This was written one Christmas while ill with the flu. After the past couple of years, it would be nice to hear about the regular old flu. May this bring a good chuckle to you and may you all have a very Merry/Happy Christmas!
Pet Semetary is one of my favorite Halloween movies, South Park did a parody of this movie which is from the book by Stephen King
This is by far the most popular Thanksgiving movie ever, and really funny.
I am getting a turkey and a ham at work in about a week, I'll have to save the wishbone. I know that neither Indian or native american is the proper term, but I can't remember what they were called in Massachusetts. I also noticed the butter I buy no longer has an Indian woman on it.
I have managed to keep myself busy, but next time I'm flying, the road traffic was too much.
China nights
I had a hard time spending that much money on ornaments, but it is so cool, I'm glad I did!
There are also songs with a dark nature to them that could be included like Sweet Dreams by Eurthmics or Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson.
It's Good Friday and it's great to be off for three days! Happy Easter Everyone!
I have been watching horror movies for Halloween. I have seven days left to watch them and read my collection of scary books. My favorite from my childhood being The Pumpkin Giant.
I have to go to my Dad's grave the day before Easter and inter my Mom's ashes above my Dad's grave with my sister and my Dad's two sisters. It sits on a bluff above the city of Dubuque, Iowa. You can see the grave yard and my uncle's flag pole when you cross the Mississippi River going from Wisconsin.
For I see my family all around a lot business a lot of sound conversations here and there people busy everywhere. On in do not hide fill your plate but you must eat it all for that is the grandma's rule to all. For many come up late
These are my first ornaments that have sound. I get one every year. In 2012 when I was out of work I found a picture ornament in the trash. I have an ornament from a student when I taught for two years. Some I got at an auction of my parents stuff, they date from the 60s. I have two I made in school around the second grade in 1976.
Just remembering my years of TV watching till 1987 when we got our first VCR, 2004 brought DVD, and then in 2021 I got my first cell phone.
I try to go to every Dairy Days Parade and sometimes I get to go to the Belmont parade. My next parade will be in WI Dells next Sunday. I will go the Homecoming Parade here in town for the university on October 15.
I spent almost five hours carving pumpkins today, the website for the patterns is zombiepumpkins.com, for five dollars, you get 20 patterns, they have a lot of really good patterns, tomorrow I'm carving Darth Vader and King Kong. Happy Halloween everybody!
Haiku on the parade I went to today on September 9, 2023 for Dairy Days in Platteville, Wisconsin.
I will be voting third party because I don't see either party supporting our veterans with the respect they deserve.
I am thankful for these four days off so I can do some fun things.
Just came to be as New Yrs Eve 2023 was within reach..and sent it to my all too few nearest and dearest so I can pass on some cheer and as much positivity ...
I composed my latest masterpiece while in the depths of depression. Engulfed in my pain and suffering. Because poets and stuff are made to suffer and feel pain. Otherwise, i am doing fine! Tonight i plan to take out the old binocs and go hang out in a dark parking lot not far from the hotel so i can look at the drunk girls thru their opened curtains, in various stages of undress. Thank you.
I try to watch The Ten Commandments and Schindler's List every year around Lent. "Whoever saves one life, save the world entire."
