The pounding of the gavel can be heard Throughout the land, or so it is said Nothing but truth here shall be spoke By no word or action to be misled Wolf next to lamb he quietly stood No twitch of lip or blink of eye Twas nothing there to giv

I was watching Bernie Sanders go on and on how he was expanding Social Security and free health care for all. This is great, if you are one not working for it.
Can you find the lines that you seek the ones that can guide you though the lands of deceit the ones that are hard to hold when you are all alone hanging by a thread where common sense is your only friend when you try
I was having a bit of a rant at the sad materialistic world we live in
This poem refers to The Dukes of Hazard, The Cosby Show, and Looney Tunes characters the love crazed skunk Pepe Le Pew and the Mexican mouse Speedy Gonzalas. These shows are no longer on TV, just DVD. This poem is a parody of the theme song from Dukes of Hazzard.
I was watching 187 with Samuel Jackson. Just stepping into the shoes of some of these teenagers who feel the need to spray paint on public buildings. I just found some on the library here in town today.
I spent last Sunday watching the libertarian debates for about seven hours. The debates were actually on Saturday, but I taped them. The candidate selection and vice president were chosen Sunday. Gary Johnson and his vice president Bill Weld won.

The absolute truth is just like a small slice of pie and always better than nothing.
This song (poem) I wrote 1-18-11 should be easy to understand. It's about my neighbor and politics at that time and place; but, a few changes in my writing to fit into today. I once had a neighbor who claimed he was abducted by aliens and the way he spoke sounded actually just like Carl from Sling Blade. At that time Obama was president. This song is comedy.
This poem is about choices we all must make to feel whole or just needing to take a break.

Some of the advertisements I see on TV are pretty aweful. One of the worst is for ASPCA, who gives 1/10 of one percent to the poor dogs they claim to care about.
