Usually I can ignore the madness, sometimes I have to speak out...
Turquoise oceans slowly turning dark and a menacing-kind-of-ugly, Healing oceans, mothers of all life, now becoming unwelcome envoys of misery, The arousing iodine-fresh smell[I plead poetic licence], now a befouled stench to the nostrils, Seagull
[Title borrowed from Sarah McLachlan’s inspiring song with the same title...] ‘Resistance is futile’ said the Borg of Star Trek fame, and they were right..., My resistance to all that manifests in my life is the cause of ALL discord in my life,
Being female, not black how can I possibly know what it’s like to walk in dark male skin, where in a white-dominated society being young and loved is not enough to keep one safe to walk about free-born. Skittles, iced tea from store co
Note: this, of course, happened in a galaxy far, far away, in a dimension we can only dream of...
Life is as old as time in these rugged Appalachian mountains and many old people live as they always have, completely indepedent and proud.
As the countries people, we know nothing about our countries actions.
I think God made a mistake, He gave me six daughters, But a daughter is the greatest gift any man can ever hope to receive, I’ll never know why God entrusted me with so many, I got out my car and took my 2nd little daughter’s hand to go into the
Seven-billion mark by Halloween; by 2050, estimated at three billion more. Contemplate: what is our planet to do? Will there be enough resources for me – not to mention, what about for you? Environmental damages, already great from various ag
Started in 1969, "Project Bread's Walk for Hunger is the oldest continual pledge walk in the United States and the largest annual one-day fundraiser to alleviate local hunger in Massachusetts."
A satire with true overtures… Phyllis, ah, Phyllis, what would I do without her? Every morning she wakes me up at precisely the right time I asked her to the night before…, More faithful a gal, a guy could not hope for… Slowly, reluctantly, I
A "smart alec" is a person regarded as obnoxiously self-assertive and impudent. Various sources suggest that Alec Hoag was given the sobriquet of "smart Alec" by the police for being a resourceful thief who outsmarted himself by trying to avoid paying graft.
Apologies to the rest of the world, here it's a Big Deal...
its not good to live only for money...
I was reading a post on what money can't buy you. Manners, morals, respect, character, common sense, trust, patience, class, integrity, and love. I know from personal experience that the lack of money can make life pretty aweful. Money may not be able to buy happiness, but it sure can rent it!
Seem a little closer to the reality we have here than the original writing.
I wrote this for a prompt on another site regarding the refugees discovered in the back of a truck in Austria some days ago. The photo is of a street in Damascus. It was very difficult to write as you might imagine. Hi to all that remember me and hello to all ye new poets, hope you are all well.
I knew if I called this mechanic he wouldn't say he was sorry or offer any apology, but I had to at least let him know it really ticked me off that they would treat me so shabbily. I don't know much about cars, but I learned this one from a neighbor who works on cars, if it makes noise when you turn, check the steering fluid, and don't overfill it or underfill it, or you will hear a squeaky noise.
Gearing up for the election. The Federal Reserve is set up to make as many nations in debt as possible, and they have been working on the United States since 1913, when they and the income tax were made into law. So it will not matter if we vote for Mitt or Barack, since they are both shills for these rich fat cat bankers.
I just got done watching 2016. I also read the book about Barack Obama. It reminds me of the George Carlin quote, "All the evil in the world, all the evil in the world is the result of what fathers do to their sons."
What is it that you write here on this page How do you manage these words so scrambled And sometimes people think that they make sense These words so carelessly flung hither and tither And yet, when ever so closer we shall look Perhaps these wor
In Memory of the soldiers fighting today.
There is a huge list of things, these are just a few that came to mind. I remember how heartbroken I was when I found out that Milli Vanilli didn't sing their own songs. I really believed in them.
Trying to fathom the deepest sense of despair of those who have no place to call home.
Current events have shown yet another person is guilty of using stardom as a means to get their guilty pleasures. This poem I hope sort of captures the feelings of being scared and not listened to when they tried to raise the alarm, and now years on they can unburden the guilt they carried.
The frustration of losing things. I had this happen with my watch a few weeks ago.
dedicated to the latest victims in the name of Islam, who claimed the lives of the poor Kenyan students 147 of them. Note: let us not forget, they let all the muslims ones go then killed all the Christians. Exact same way as in the Nairobi Mall in 2013. When will it end? Meantime, on Fox News, there is a discussion of NUKING THE MUSLIM COUNTRY. Google it. I don't want this to happen, nor will I endorse it, but awareness for what it happening is important. Thank you all for your reads.
My life is a dance i stumble through with steps i do not know my graceful cascade of clumsiness is such a stunning show inside i am a shamble a littered mess of nerves on the surface i show strength with perfect sways and swerves My love is

the thing is...
Take a bite from the apple, my dear. The taste of knowledge will open up for you a whole new world, you’ll see. The juices will flow from lips down your cheek as it searches out your soul. Take a byte from the Apple, my dear. Worlds will be c
I am often plagued by a very existential question: Am I doing what I should be doing, or have I been led astray from my destiny? Don’t laugh, things like that bother some of us…, Am I living in the right place, Am I in the right profession? Am I
