So what's this they are waiting for? A stepping stone, a push in the right direction I float down the river tied to a drifting log And so i've become colder but more aware I'm no more than a nomad seeking refuge from the sun A place to bury my h

If for woman

If for woman

I wrote this poem in response to the question posed on the CS forum, 'What I want in a man', The author wrote: Am I asking too much? I want a man who:- 1. is mentally and physically strong; 2. who can braid a little girl's hair without perversion; 3. who can talk me out of my manic mood swings; 4. who can make me laugh without being crude; 5. who doesn't screw around, ever (no really I mean that); 6. who can make a fire and handle a weapon and swing a good punch; 7. who can put his foot down when I push him too far; 8. who can satisfy me physically; 9. who can talk about anything; 10. who can tell the truth and face the consequences; 11. who wouldn't dream of hitting a woman or a child; 12. who can cook and iron if he needs to; 13. who can be kind without being weak. Wow, that's quite a list. Anybody fit the bill?

Ollies Garden

Ollie's Garden

We drove past every day, my child and I, Past the old white frame house Where Ollie lived. The house was small and boasted peeling paint And grimy windows, and an old car That hadn't run in years. In winter, the house was washed in a kind of G

Sometimes Impatience Is A Far Greater Virtue

Sometimes Impatience, Is A Far Greater Virtue !

I decided to make impatience into a true-blue virtue, for it can come in really handy when, we aren't getting the desired results from patience, n it has gotten a bad rap for centuries. Who got to decide that anyway ? It is now one of my own special personal mottos ! aware3

They will see

They will see

This poem is my outlook toward the people who have misjudged me or even judged me at all. I believe people should be able to live their lives without having to worry about who is spreading rumors, and what is being said about them. The world now-a-days is just so cruel and people deserve the right to live their lives without stress produced by others.

I Can Sing a Colourblind Rainbow

I Can Sing a (Colourblind) Rainbow

A fun little satire on the classic 1951 song "I Can Sing A Rainbow" by Arthur Hamilton. I wrote this as I am mildly colourblind and thought this would put a different 'colour' on the old song. (Pun intended, as usual...)

Indifference

Indifference

Nearly all of the poems I have written are the product of inspiration. Most often from someone I loved or love's demise. Usually conceived in the dim light of depression on a napkin. This one's origin is obvious and is one of my first of my first love. I am however not a purveyor of unhappiness and have a few that are descriptive in nature, whimsical at a time, and compassionate at another.

Love and Learn

Love and Learn

I have come to learn that if you love too quick, you loose out on the moments that define your love. If you love too late, you loose out on the moments that give you reason to love. If you leave too soon, you will forever be left wondering. If
